- We were absolutely delighted to spend a week with the tiny 2024 Fiat 500e. It's an iconic electric car that was last sold in the US in 2019, so it's great to have it back for 2024!

5:00 I LOVE that Sherpa mode (the name of it). Adorable.
And of course you test the Fiat 500e and the first ad TH-cam shows me is for the Range Rover Defender monster SUV. Had someone bring one of these to an Electric Vehicle Association event I helped out at and loved it. Such a great little car and easy to park not a giant SUV/Truck. Really only two people but could fit a dog in the back with the rear seats folded. Glad to see this being offered in the US where there is so many massive SUV's.
10:00 I love that turning radius. Thanks for that, Patrick.
OMG liv that umbrella! 😅 loving this video!
Haaha thank you Merchy! I could not resist. Probably spent like a good 20 minutes parading around the Fiat with it😆 - Liv
@MachE_VLOG I expect nothing less from you Liv 😆
I leased a Fiat 500e is a great EV, No.3 delivered at the dealer and No.10 locally. Perhaps a little cheap on the build quality as you mentioned. My Mini S Electric is much much much premium and hot hatch. UConnect works really good, like really good. I like the buttons on the back of steering wheel to control the Audio system. I mostly drive mine in Range mode because of one pedal driving. The range is severely underrated on this car. I drove 202km and arrived at 18% SOC of highway driving 105-110kph. I estimate so far in the city where we live is prob over 300km. I'm fine with no glass roof! I wish my Mini didn't have a glass roof. I don't find the car too be that small as you sit high off the ground and I find you can actually look down inside them! Charging Curve is solid
The car is full of easter eggs as well besides the "Made in Torino" stuff. There is a 500e logo on the dash behind the screen, the foam insert in the trunk is made for a European Type 2 cable and doesn't fit the L1 charger properly. I had a OTA software update and the car was all in Italian for 1-2 mins.
This car where I live in Canada is around 30-32k CDN rebates and Stellantis is only brining around 3000 cars in to offset emissions. Much the same for USA. We leased at 360$ mo CDN for 48 months 20000km a year,
Awesome! We currently own a Mach-E, but I used to own a Fiat 500L and love these cars!! Thanks for sharing :)
Perfect size and beautiful. It was not for sale when I bought my EV.
I have the Red edition 👍 lovely little car!
Great review guys! I had a combustion 2012 Fiat 500 and it was one of my favorite cars of all time. I was made fun of by my coworkers because I’m a big guy, 6 feet and 240ish lbs, but I didn’t care. It actually has a ton of room for the driver and it was a blast to drive.
I’d consider the 500e but I live in Atlanta and it seems like everywhere I travel seems like it is 60 miles round trip plus. My wife sometimes brings my Bolt EUV (which has about 250 miles of range) home with under 40 miles left after running errands on the weekends.
What is your point and where is your wife going that uses 210 miles of the Bolts range, not local errands.
The Fiat 500e is so endearing! I'd love one, but… only one of us drives in our household and thus we need an EV with more range and room for roadtrips.
7:00 No worries. Moonroofs/sunroofs are overrated. It's 10 million degrees in North Carolina. My Chevy Impala has a moonroof/sunroof that I keep blocked/closed 8 months of the year. On my Ioniq6, I made sure no moonroof/sunroof unless it came standard which it did not. We bought a cover ($150.00) to block the R1T sunroof. The R1T even gets too hot in the winter from the sunroof so we will keep that cover on year round. But again, some folks love sunroofs/moonroofs or live in colder climates.
I do love it. The RWD Ioniq 6's are going for 34k so I would want to buy this one at a 28k or 30k price point in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I do love the small size and cuteness of it.
Yeah it's so hard to justify at this price point considering what else is out there...but it's also really cute and fun to drive! - Liv
@@MachE_VLOGhave y’all tried out any of the smart fortwo electric drives? Thinking of you, Liv. They are fairly easy entry, just not sure on the left foot drivability as pedals are close together.
Small, zippy, RWD, and quirky.
'Toss things in the back' 😂
If you want to see amazing turning radius, test drive a MB EQS 580. It’s a long sedan with about 10 ft wheel base, but has a turning radius much smaller than Tesla model 3 at only 35 ft. 10 degree rear wheel steering is awesome.
We've spent time with the 580 SUV th-cam.com/video/S8y-iZSSRHU/w-d-xo.html and the 450 sedan th-cam.com/video/Q_copRqSnrg/w-d-xo.html They're definitely lovely in multiple ways - Liv
I would consider Niro or Kona before thie vehicle. They are still better as a second car, but they are more capable in almost every way.
I think the Mini is in the same apace as the 500.
What has more driver/passenger room: 500e or the Aptera?
Do you own one? I do and I have zero issues with bumpy roads.
I really like these things but the no 360° camera is a non-starter. Otherwise….
EVs are smooth until you hit a bump or hole.🤣🤣🤣
While this EV is cute, it is overpriced for range, space, charging, and performance. It may be good for a short term rental, but not purchase when there are SO many other EVs offering more for your money.
Ya like we said there are tons of vehicles that provide more in every way, but if someone absolutely needs a small vehicle due to their circumstances or if they prioritize cuteness or small size over range, space, charging, and performance, then it's a fun option. I do really wish it was more competitively priced and I would personally have a hard time paying that much for it but I'm excited that Fiat is back in the US and I hope it stays and gets cheaper! - Liv
Buy what you like and if that’s a small EV, and your wallet is comfortable with the price so be it.
