Got to give Ford credit for really doing something new and different. 0-60 in 3.4. Plenty of space for passengers and gear especially with the frunk. Rally capable. It's an amazing vehicle. Well done again Ford
Rally driving is the best driving. No question
This looks awesome. If I were in the market for an EV I'd be between this and the ioniq5 N. Very cool styling but I do worry about the battery vents.
I just drove both back to back today and it's hard to pick between them. The N is much more of a race car and just puts a smile on your face. The Ford is fun and quick but I wish it had more settings to make it drive how you want and yes I had those notes taken down. Hopefully it'll actually make its way to Ford.
I like the upgrades and it really seems that Ford is fine-tuning the Mach-e quite well. Thank you for a good video and God bless.
Very nice. I still would like to see a 2 door Mustang rally car run head to head with a 911 Dakar and Lambo Sterrato though. Although the original was just an appearance package for skiiers, Ford could even dust off the High Country Special nameplate. I think there is room in the stable.

The tires, rims and aero look good. In suburban Virginia I have no use case for a car like the Rally and it’s a lot of money but I’m glad to see Ford expanding the Mach-e model line and developing the Mach-e lineup overall. I’d love to see the Mach-e $10k less expensive and with a range over 300 miles. Perhaps in a few years the range will increase as it develops and incentives will make it more affordable. It’s a tough market out there and Hyundai is killing it with cool models but now that I know they use child labor, I’m more likely to look at domestic cars. I currently drive a Bolt EUV and enjoy it.
All EVs use materials which are a product of child labor.. foreign and domestic 🤷🏼♂️

No it doesn't. It weighs around 1200-1400 lbs more (depending on the battery/trim).

At first i thought this was a weird niche trim on a car fords already struggling to sell.
But hes right. This is the most Colorado car ever. Its not ment for ACTUAL rallying. Its ment to drive well over our crumbling CO infrastructure 😂😂.

The Mach-E is a perfectly good little crossover. What it isn't, is a Mustang.
WIsh they'd add the option to have Ford Rally motor sounds, would be amazing.
What kind of protection does battery have for rally stuff?
Under body skid plates.
1) Drop out the Mustang name, 2) drop in a 3.0TT V6, 3) back up the Brinks truck.

I really miss Nathan doing off road testing with these vehicles...i truly value his opinion...I don't under why we don't see him more often and get to hear his inputs. It would be nice to cylce through hosts more often. Especially if Roman's back is messed up he could've stepped in. I truly a fan of the OGs

The battery vents on the front of my Mach-e were severely damaged by a small piece of debris on the interstate.
I’m surprised the Rally version doesn’t have some type of guard for the vents.

Or a Fiesta since that is the current Ford Rally car. Or the Escort. I am talking about the European one, not what we got here. It also has a huge rally history. Of course they could have called it the Mach-E RS200. I think using that name could upset a lot of people.
Now in 2021 if Tesla had delivered the cyber truck and they had a course like this and they kept the price to about $65-$70,000, yeah, I know I can dream too.
Where’s the brush gaurd
I hooked up my Mach -E to my 220V receptacle, It has a 30A breaker. My battery was at 78%. Several times the breaker tripped. 30a at 220V. that is 6600W. Now you leave your car to charge over night. I am waiting to see the increases on my electric bill.
And the decreases in your gasoline bill.
First. It’s a 240V outlet. 220V does not exist anywhere in the world. 230V in Europe. 240V in North America with 208V being an option on 3-phase power.
Second. Yeah, of course your 30a breaker is tripping when connected to a 32A load.

There’s a Mach E GT that competes (and beats) the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N on range, 0-60 and more. This has a different purpose.

The miles are too low for me I want to go from Vegas to Cali without a charge until Ev can do that I will not buy a 60k car that can only go 265 miles
They should just call it the Mach E. drop the mustang name, it just confuses

There is a team running a 2006 Mustang on the ARA (American Rally Association) races. I have seen him run the Olympus (Wash.) and the Oregon Rally.

I can believe in an electric mustang but it needs to look like a race car not like a freaking mommy car. Only then can it be electric and a mustang.
Adding only different suspensions and wheels for 10k$ is a rip off.
Make sure your insurance covers any battery damage you may cause before trying to rally with this thing.
You do realise an EV's battery is more impervious to damage than any part of an ICE car?
@@yissibiiyte That's not true. Any impact damage can necessitate replacing the entire battery pack. There are many examples out there of that happening, where what appears to be minor damage ends up costing tens of thousands to repair. In the case of Hyundai it has even totaled out the car.
@@plmn93 "Many" examples? It is an extremely rare occurrence. It's an issue with the Ioniq 5 specifically, but with any other EV it's very rare. ICE cars get totalled from trail damage way more frequently.
@@yissibiiyte EVs have not been on trails until recently. And it's an issue with all EVs. We knew about this years ago with Teslas.
