This story is great in 2 ways one being the relationship between the Droid and human and 2 being the shear bitter sweat tragidy of the hole thing you get see this man brought back from the brink of madness or near complete madness by an unlikely companion then we get to see how there relationship changes over time tell eventually the gut renching twist is revealed showing how the man lived and yet the heartbreaking truth behind his survival honestly legends matiral needs to be preverbaly brought to life in some kind of series or something

It wouldn't end well. He's close to death - she just ensured he'd last long enough to finish the run. She likely wouldn't want to live without him if she was willing to short-circuit over jealousy of his memories

Well this was beautiful and tragic. As a casual Star Wars enjoyer i really enjoyed this. Maybe its because I'm already so into Androids and romance hence my profile picture of Elster from signalis. Truely beautiful though about how he said she would always have a place in his her heart and in return she gave him hers. Love allot of times can be a series of sacrifices and i feel this encapsulates that well through the symbolism in the story.
I’m glad the author was brave enough to explore what a realistic situation this must have been in the Star Wars universe. So many droids with human like characteristics a love situation was bound to happen!

I tried to like Acolyte. Sol and Qimir were pretty cool and bringing in cortosis in a big way was cool but messing with established characters and ideas the way they did just didn’t need to happen. A high republic story far from the prequel era should have been the pitch.
