If you REALLY want to get kids into cooking, I'd suggest the Avatar: The Last Airbender cookbook. It has those full-page spreads you like. And from the looks of it, all the food is from the show.

As someone who makes character bento often, it helps to make a stencil of the shape you want to cut from the Nori with parchment paper, then place it on the nori and cut along it with a sharp X-Acto knife!

I kept getting recommended your videos but didn’t watch them cause I thought they were gonna be some rip on the books contents and source material (not from anything you did but I’ve just noticed a trend of those type of personalities popping up in the reviewing side of TH-cam and was worried it was another one). But after watching your cookbook reviews, you reignited my desire to cook after being disheartened from failing one of my dishes, so I really hope you keep on doing this and make more of these videos

these treats would be fun to make at a kids pokemon themed birthday party if you want themed food that kids will instantly recognize these are perfect you can even have your child help you make the dishes which could be a great learning experience to get them into cooking and make them feel proud when they can tell their friends "i helped make that!" I love themed cookbooks for kids a great way to get them into learning an important skill because the theming just makes it fun for them

Probably because anything egg, rice, or some kind of tuna will always be good

I got a suggestion for something of the more beverage related!
Deep Rock Galactic is a dwarf themed game with a variety of Drinks (currently 25 options to choose from!) for your character to enjoy, quite similar to Monster Hunter's food buffs!
But they toss in some extra flavors to spice up the selection with plenty of fun mug designs and reactions from friends.
My favorite logic for this Dwarf delving game is probably how they get sober. A specially brewed drink "Leaf Lover's Special"
I like to think it was some sort of beer brewed by elves, and due to that it's so weak it will instead make any unlucky Dwarf who drinks it instantly sober! :D
I really would love there to be some official "brew book" to make both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of the in-game drinks to enjoy with friends

I used to have this old Nickelodeon cookbook with a very strange name. "Stir, Squirt, Sizzle" but you can just lookup Nickelodeon Cookbook and find it. I don't remember much about it other than one recipe for a dessert that was essentially crunchy chow mein noodles (I think?), chocolate, and marshmallow. Would you ever be interested in giving that cookbook a look to see if there was anything actually good in it or if it was all gimmick?

Hi, just wanted to say that I like your way of rating things. I do not have anything against direct numbers or the like, but there is a charm and something, I don't know the correct English word, sweet? It's sweet that you instead use a very short one-sentence summary, like this one, so that you take the positives of the book when you end the video, even if the book did not work for you (and probably not for me, the look of food is far down my priorities when I cook).
At any rate, keep it up :)
