You can tell the author really put thought into the design of this book AND thought into what dish could correspond to what Pokémon. I’m very interested!
Alot of these cookbooks are definitely slept on and it's soo nice to see them reviewed to see which are worth it or especially worth it. Keep up the great work I love this series and channel!
I'm really glad you covered this cookbook, and not just because the PokeRap parody intro made me laugh out loud! I'd sort of written off this cookbook despite being a Pokemon fan, but hearing about the recipes and thought put into them has me reconsidering! Thanks for an informative and entertaining video
y’know, i’m starting to wish there was a pokemon cookbook with recipes based on food from the games. the pokemon-themed foods are cute, but i wanna see recipes for things like poffins, lava cookies, curries, etc.
I wouldn't mind a rage candy bar or old gateau recipe. A fun idea i think could also be a pokemon cafe mix cookbook or even if you do a cook book for the different foods in the game make ones for each town. So it's like a tour of each region with foods, drinks or treats from each town.
Every intro gets better and better. Thanks for putting so much hard work in, like actually making a rhyming rap of pokemon, for us the viewers. Thanks for the sweet sweet content! 👽
Don’t you love it when you’re re-watching videos by a creator you like, then right when you finish the last one and click back to the YT main page, you see they’ve just uploaded something new?
Also, as someone who likes to cook but hasn’t splurged on a cookbook in a while and has been in full “I’m a little boy again” mode over how enjoyable SV is, I want this book now. It’s so tempting on hearing a sample of the food confirmed as actually good as well as cute and themed after the series in fun ways.
wow this cookbook was a big step up from the other one you reviewed! It genuinely made me so interested in buying it and testing out recipes myself. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Seeing this book, I cannot wait until my nephew - and my own child - is old enough to get into various forms of media, and if/when they gain an interest for Pokemon, we can spend time making this kind of food together. I agree with you that to have recipes that children can make (mostly) by themselves, and also have food that they can make with adults so it becomes quality time together, is perfect. It is also an interesting new angle for the author to write out of universe, but I am happy she gets to try new things, as well, and being able to write a pokemon book sounds pretty amazing! I also laughed a bit when you mentioned the author's name, because it made me realize that some authors -do- pop up now and again in different cookbooks. I think the WoW cookbook author reappeared in another franchise as well. It makes sense since these kinds of cookbooks are still sort of niche, but it also gets a bit funny. My grandmother often ended up with a cookbook by the same author, and when the last came out, she would read through and mumbled once "let's see what Stiansen suggests" when we discussed dinner. Got to love the pokeball poke bowls, poke bowls are the bane of my existence because my introduction to them was seeing it on a meny, thinking it was literally pokemon themed, and getting a bowl of stuff (it wasn't BAD, but poke bowls are not my preference) XD Loved the rap!

Oh.. Oh no!! I was finally at peace with the amount of Victoria Rosenthal cookbooks in my kitchen and now I just might have to buy this one too! I love your channel, even though it is fueling my cookbook addiction 😂
No way. I actually just got this cookbook the other day and was thinking this would be perfect for you to try. I’m especially excited to make the charizard pasta this coming Monday for my family
@@MisoHungrie Yeah, usually they either require 12 different spices I've never heard of before and can't find in a store or just use generic "curry powder". I prefer to mix my own as it is actually pretty easy and tastes much better as I can adjust the ratio of any given spice in the mixture.
I've had my eyes on this one for a while now, and I'm now even more excited to try and find one! Also fun fact: Vannilite and it's line aren't actually ice cream (like people keep claiming) They're actually Icicles with snow on them. And that's another thing, people claiming "they literally turned food into a Pokemon" and when you actually look at it there are actually very few Mon who are literally food. At best, some Pokemon have parts of them that are edible (like the pastry things on Appletun's back or slowpokes tail) Or have flavor-like biologies (like how Swirlix's coat is detailed to be sweet, or how Fidough is detailed to breathe yeast)
I mean I'd still eat the real-world equivalent of vanillish. I love chewing on icicles when I see them (very rare) and if you drizzle some snowcone flavoring on the snow you have a tasty frozen treat!
This pokemon cookbook is better than the first one. About eating pokemon. Some pokedex even in the newest pokemon Scarlet and Violet tell that you can eat some pokemons. For some people it's shocking to eat pokemon, but on first season of pokemon when Ash catched Krabby Professor Oak said that Krabby is to small to make it a meal. Even though I don't feel that I would eat any pokemon.
In the few entries I read in Pokemon ScarVio, I got the impression that the Pokedex says usually you can eat whatever the pokemon sheds or loses, rather than directly from the pokemon itself. Although I would like the humour of actually translating pokemon into real life food ingredients somehow, it would have to be something unofficial with probably no monetization. Would be an interesting experience, though
I dont know about flavor but apparently I heard frozen fruits are actually much better freshness-wise than fresh fruits? especially if they are not grown locally. I think it was because they are picked when ripe and then they're frozen, and fresh fruits are picked unripe and then made to ripe. I heard it's better carbon footprint-wise as well? Just a fun fact.
Well I would love to see a sequel if you're game someday! I saw the Ampharos lemonade and will definitely try to make it at home. Fav pokemon plus fav drink!

Vannilite. I hope you like shattered lips and the taste of icicles. Vannilite Black dex entry: "The temperature of their breath is -58° F. They create snow crystals and make snow fall in the areas around them." If its breath is -58° F, its internal body temperature will be significantly colder. Vannilite White dex entry: "This Pokémon formed from icicles bathed in energy from the morning sun. It sleeps buried in snow."
