There's also the supreme puffs, which seem to be a completely different set of flavours.
If I were to take a guess, they'd be:
Summer - Honeydew (and possibly mango going by the decoration, though that’s a tad of a stretch)
Autumn - Sweet Potato and Maple
Winter - hot Choc-Marshmallow
Spring - Sakura (and maybe peach)
Wish - Birthday Cake
Honour - Triple Choc

@@ACasualTrevor Pumpkin spice is a tad cliche though. Also the decorations have maple leaves so I assume it's at least partially maple flavoured, and maple-glazed yams are a thing so...
@@ACasualTrevor that's more of an American thing. Since the games are Japanese they'd probably go with the sweet potato and maple flavors (given the choice)

This is automatically my favourite episode from this Alvin series. As soon as I saw the title it was a wrap
it was grate, but it was so annoying that the voice over did not match the ingredients/colors as he was talking about putting them in. Made it much harder to follow for me!
I like watch Anime With Alvin because of his personality and the fact that he isn’t a seasoned pro which means that with practice and patience (one thing when it comes to cooking I’m still working on) I believe that I can too make this recipes
Food colouring does change how you experience the flavours, even if they dont taste anything.
I think colors actually do affect flavor a little bit. It ties into that whole presentation thing. Although for your average recipe its a bit of extra work to make it a different color.
Yea the brain I believe tends to associate some flavors with some colors.

@@tentrilliconlp7748 Dry is a lack of sweet taste. While there is sweet ingredients in the poffin, Mint doesn't taste sweet on it's own.
Additionally, Dry is a weird taste descriptor for Pokemon foods anyway since it's typically used in beverages (usually alcoholic)

I have to admit I skipped the first few episodes of "Anime with Alvin." It's not because I dislike anime or Alvin, but because changes like that give me a little anxiety (so do interviews, I don't know why). I have since started watching "Anime with Alvin" every time it's posted and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The sources offer some of the prettiest and most absurd foods. Thank you Alvin and team for your work!

At first I just thought Alvin was just coming on here to do an episode every once in a while, until I read the name of the series and I was kinda happy since Andrew doesn't do many anime based videos on binging so I think it's a nice addition to the channel.

I always assumed pokepuffs tasted like the halfway point between macaroons and dry dog food.
I remember being obsessed with the Pokepuffs as a little kid! I always wanted to try them, and now I guess I can! I will definitely make these sometime.

@@KairuHakubi Poffins were 4th gen, these are from 6th gen, which released... almost nine years ago now. I largely missed out on 6th gen. For me, I always wondered what 3rd gen's Pokéblocks tasted like.
With all the people in the comments saying they wanted to eat them as a kid, I have to remember that these came out nine years ago and I was a teenager during this. Messes me up

I remember thinking that the pokepuffs from Pokemon X and Y looked freaking delicious back when the games first came out
and the idea that they can be made irl makes me oddly nostalgic and excited (though I do not have the time or patience to make them myself)
I swear this exists but i don’t remember which episode. It was in Sinnoh with Dawn. She made a snack that was like shaved ice or something and filled with hot sauce
I would like to see poffins as well. Feast of Fiction has a wonderful video on them, including making them all different flavors that’d fit their type, but I wouldn’t mind seeing you do them, and maybe even trying to do 2 flavors at once

Now that we are making Pokémon recipes, I suggest the Radish Burger from the Pokémon anime as well (which I forgot the exact cap it came from, but as far as I recall, is where Mallow runs away from its home and stays inside a Oranguru's hut. She prepared and served the burger to Tapu Koko itself)
This could also be categorized as Arcade with Alvin since these also appear in the X and Y games, though they’re for a side minigame.
I would love to see an animal friendly version of these that are safe for both trainers and their pokemon 💚

As a child I loved binge watching Pokémon and have always imagined what a Pokèpuff would taste like. So it's pretty cool seeing someone trying to recreate it.

Heck yeah! Since I first played x and y and thought pokepuffs where creampuffs but all the adaptations I saw where buns or macarons, so I was really happy to see a creampuff adaptation.
Reminds me of Skyrim sweetroll, alot of adaptations are batter based but I've always imagined em as more of a cinnamon roll in texture, just with honey instead and taller

I've been watching the new pokemon series and now I want to see Alan make Kricketina Treats
According to Kricketina it's 3 Ninab berries (Bananas), two Peacha berries (peaches) one Pinap Berries (Pineapple), a large dollop of honey, a few drops of concentrated razz berry juice, something she calls 'flavour form from the riverside' looks like maybe a pinch of mint leaves or some other aromatic? and a few puffs of mushroom powder.
The mushroom added to all that fruit makes me skeptical of how it would actually taste but it still seems like a fun one to test out.

Pokemon X was my first real Pokemon game and I remember having so much fun playing amie with my team and feeding my favorites the pokepuffs I thought looked the tastiest! I'd definitely go for the sweet pokepuff myself
