Could you take the temperature of the steam? I got one to disinfect my bearded dragon’s stuff but I’m having trouble measuring it’s temperature using a thermometer
Give me a few days I wrote myself a note so I can remember to try for you. But I’ve had and have reptiles and I’d say it will work good for that! Plenty hot to sanitize
@@shiftwrenchrepeat I returned mine...it shoots out steam alright but not hot the way a steamer should work.i even showed home Depot the video of me holding my hand infront of the nozzle. Disappointed!
@@carold.7907 hey helmp me out, i have never used a steam cleaner before but the steam coming out of this one was not hot, I could hold my hand in front of it and it did not clean anything
i have never used a steam cleaner before but the steam coming out of this one was not hot, it was just humidifying, I could hold my hand in front of it and it did not clean anything, I am not sure how you managed to clean anything with it, maybe it was just the other tools
@@shiftwrenchrepeat So i do not feel the hot steam unless my hand is 1 inch away from the steamer, at 3-4 inches the steam is cold? what about yours, is it still hot? 3-4 inches away?
returned and bought another one, tested it and the same story, the steam it produces is not hot enough to clean, tried with less water brush attachments holding for longer and everything, will return the second one now and will try Bissell steam shot omni
@@shiftwrenchrepeat i tried the bissel steamshot as well same story, steam is not hot enough, you can put you r hand in front of it and it just warms it up, unless you get really close, it cleans nothing, tried them on clothes, love, stovetop, bathtub, shoes, I don't know why people buy them now, its not even sanitizing it is just humidifying and accelerating the bacteria growth, does not even loosent anything much both of them were a gimmick
@@shiftwrenchrepeat I bought my Homerite at Rona when they were only 79. 99 in Canada now I see they are 199.99 US directly from their site. I know they also made an AutoRite one ...same machine different color and name. I had it 7 years. Awesome product. I think the Wagner and Costway brands are also good affordable options that should perform the same way.
If a steamer is not a magic weapon then it's the secret sauce.
It’s handy that’s for sure!
It also makes secret sauce going by the color of that water

the temprature is just warm, it will not disinfect anything it will just humidity things and cause the bacteria to grow

Maybe you got a dud…. Mines been really good, sometimes if you over fill it it doesn’t get hot, try less water

Thanks buddy!

What exctractor is that?
Corded hart unit, I love it as a mobile machine. I got it for 69 bucks at Walmart it’s like my back up or for small jobs
My own cannot open
What should I do
It won’t open?? They can’t get a little tight, I’d use a channel lock pliers carefully
Homerite makes an excellent canister steamer
Thanks! I’ll check it out

Is it normal for the cap to loosen once heated?
Mine does that occasionally, make sure the little seal isn’t broken though!
I usually over tighten it and then don’t have this issue tho
@shiftwrenchrepeat Thanks
How hot does it get in fernhight
Not sure
Which steam cleaner did you have before that dirt devil?
I had the harbor freight floor unit
I recommend the Durpray Neat or the McCormick
I was just going to asthat. Great channel
Typo. Bane of my existence. It should read I was just going to ask that. Thank
shout out the Cleveland steamer
🤣
Just throw those old mats away and put in new ones 😂
I did lol, was just reviewing the tool
Pressure washer,it’s quicker less energy does a better job.
For this floor mat yeah. Just an example to test the steamer
Does that steamer work on clothes and couches.
Sure does!
Fricken punks wtf 😳
