I got lip implants when I was in my late 30s and never had to get lip fillers and such. It was one and done. Economical because the procedure was about the cost of 3 sessions of lip plumping and it's lasted a very long time! And will continue. Sometimes getting teeth veneers will make your lips look fuller. An example of this effect is if you've ever used teeth whitening trays you will see your lips look fuller when you close your mouth over the trays because the lips 'sit' over the trays. Hope I'm explaining it right.
@@Donna-vh5ym Depends on how many veneers you get and where you live. A cheaper alternative is bonding which is what I have. It was years ago so I don't remember the exact price. I’ve ALWAYS had a chicken lip (upper) and the philtrum is getting longer as I’m aging. I finally decided to talk to my wife’s cosmetic surgeon (he did a breast reduction) about it and did the Restylene Kysse - an entire 1ml in my upper lip with no noticeable change. I met with him again yesterday to do more filler, but he says I still had some swelling and asked me to wait another week. I talked to him about a lip lift, and he told me I wasn’t a good candidate because my front teeth would show with a resting face. That was my last option. I’m so bummed about it, and am wondering if I should get a 2nd opinion. I’ve looked in my area in SC, but cannot find anyone who specializes in this procedure. In the meantime, I’m a victim of duck lips because my top lip is now extending over my bottom lip. Unless you’ve suffered with thin lips you can’t understand how insecure this makes someone feel. 😢

I have so much more to offer the world than a pretty face... The beauty of my younger years got me treated poorly. I was treated very bad by insecure women, ignorant men- people were intimidated by my beauty & now that I'm aging gracefully it seems that I'm treated with the respect- minus other people's assumptions- judgemental attitudes- that I have always deserved. It's not my responsibility to entertain the masses with a youthful face in my 50's. Now that I'm wrinkled & sagging- I'm somehow more approachable & people are kind to me. $15-20k is better spent on ATV's, kayaks, boats, campers & just living a quality of life with people who love you for who you are. No need to be "segggzy" in my senior years... Pfffft turning heads should not be a "life goal" that you plan for in retirement/grandparent years!!! Love yourself, eat right, pray, exercise, sleep well 🙏
You're suggesting that I shouldn't make a comment about my positive acceptance of aging naturally in the spirit of reminding the other viewers who could never afford to do this without going into debt- that maybe they can be ok with themselves and have a very rich life? Yes, people here DO need to be reminded that they're good enough just the way they are! It's not ok to treat people any certain way because of their looks- youthful or otherwise. Have the day you deserve. I'll watch what I want and leave positive comments wherever I please.

Thank you Dr. Karam. Very clear and informative. Thanks again.
My pleasure
Thank you Dr Karam for taking the time to educate us, because you care. I’m saving my money, I look forward to the day I’m sitting in your chair ❤‼️
This doctor has beautiful skin...
I have thin lips. Gives me an edgier look with my high cheekbones
@@Lin6055m I looked at your profile photo and your lips are not thin (at least according to my definition of thin which would have a pic of me beside the definition 😂). I would be ecstatic to have your lip size. By the way, I had a 2nd ml of the Kysse and after the swelling I have zero to show for it except a $1500 bill. Complete waste and on top of that my upper lip is drooping slightly on one side and no asymmetry at all. I expressed my disappointment and was told to come back to discuss. Why? The only thing that would make me happy would be a refund. Definitely not letting him touch my lips again. I don’t care how long he or anyone else has been a cosmetic surgeon - it takes talent in addition to experience.
@@cricketpieit’s really important to look at many before and after pics. If you want height and less duck lip look, you may want to get your to lip dissolved (not bottom unless it’s lumpy), and go for the Russian lip filler technique, but again it’s important to go to a professional who has many good results. I’ve used Restylane Kysse, it’s a newer product, and it gives more natural results but doesn’t last very long ( in my experience). Try Juvederm Ultra. Good luck 🍀
I can relate I have no lips and they're starting to turn down in the corners it's terrible it has always been that way since I was young they Always turn down in the corners of my mouth I used to have people tell me don't be sad it's the way God made me

helpful. Thank you. I put the quench and illuminate on my lips too.
Would you say chemical peels help along with microniedling and retinal? And is it okay to use copper products on the lips? Thanks so.much for all your videos!!❤
Angellift, micro needling and TCA peels all help and can be done at home.
What are TCA peels?
Very informative, Dr. Karam, I am using your skin care line, my skin is much brighter, happy with results, a great investment. thank you.

Totally understood. Thanks for sharing your knowledge ❤
You are so welcome!
Thanks Doctor. Wish I could afford a solution but at 73 I can’t. Let me say that you have the most beautiful skin. Thanks for the information!
I have a unique situation. I had Mohs surgery that ended up in 24 stitches from my nose, upper lip, corner of my mouth to the chin. I’m 58 btw. My dermatologist is going to laser the scar & hopefully give me a better look🙏🙏🙏
Very helpful information! I’m adding a little bit of filler to my lips….
Thank you for explaining in simple & clear way
Thank you Dr Amir, the dimensional science of aging is a very interesting topic! I have seen great results from lip lifts on other people but I would be worried for scarring for me personally. Btw your skin is really glowing!
Thank you! BTW, I've been using sun block every day, thanks to your advice!!🥰
Wonderful!
Dr.karam I have been watching your videos for over a year now. They really intrigued me with the knowledge that you have. That makes me feel like there's no other doctor that would be as good as you. I will be 57 in January and have been looking for a doctor to do a vertical. Face left for me. No one seems to compare. I live in York Pennsylvania Hopefully someday God will help me find My Way to you.
that would be a miracle. So with that being said I will continue to watch your Videos and pray for a miracle. You are definitely the best keep up the great work.
Thank you so much! Best of luck, I hope to see you!
Love yourself, eat right, pray, exercise, sleep well 🙏
Then obviously this is not the platform and Vedic said you need to be entertains yourself with at this tim
And with all due respect, commenting on either
You're suggesting that I shouldn't make a comment about my positive acceptance of aging naturally in the spirit of reminding the other viewers who could never afford to do this without going into debt- that maybe they can be ok with themselves and have a very rich life? Yes, people here DO need to be reminded that they're good enough just the way they are! It's not ok to treat people any certain way because of their looks- youthful or otherwise. Have the day you deserve.
I'll watch what I want and leave positive comments wherever I please.

Consistent facial exercise’s make a huge difference!
@Aangel452 hi there Angel, what kind of facial exercises work? There are lots of kinds and many don't work or make things worse. I would love to know what I can do with facial exercises... Thanks a bunch ch!
Great video and skin class. Very educational and informative and so very easy to understand. Thank you so much Dr. Karam.
My pleasure
Really great information that explains where the heck my lips went!
Thank you so much for your excellent advice through your experience ❤
I learn so much from your content. Thank u!🙌🏻
I am so glad.
Hey doc :) it was so much informative and I can’t thank you enough for this ♥️🥰I naturally have big lips and noticing the early changes and do go for lip flip and lip booster sometimes ❤we love your videos 🥰🙏🤩
Thank you for watching!
I'v always had naturally full lips. Now that I'm 68, my lips have lots of vertical lines unless I'm smiling. Treatments are way out of my reach. Is there anything more natural I can do to smooth out my lips? By the way, I love your videos. They're so informative.
Thank you so much for all these informative videos that are easy to understand and most importantly help us all make better decisions.
Thanks Dr Karam. I’ve done various procedures around the mouth for many moons. However I had the good sense not to overdo. I was blessed with a keen eye for proportion. Until now I was not sure how the lips aged with the rest of the face. A little tweaking here and there can make a big difference.
Always very informative! Much appreciated!
My pleasure
Thank you for taking the time to explain in detail these rejuvenation procedures and advice. I love your videos and info. You come across as sincere and very knowledgeable. I will be visiting your office one of these days :)
Ahh thank you so much for the nice comment.
You will be very happy if you do. Dr Karam is the best, very knowledgeable and an artist!
yes, when I win the lottery
Now I understand! So simple with knowledge. Thank you for this informative video Dr Karam.
the only person ı know who had a lip lift, which happened a long time ago, you can see the line under her nose. ı dont like that. is it possible nowadays to have no visible scar?
What a great video!!
Thanks for watching!
I think that lip lift are not for everyone. In my case both my lips are full even if the distance between my nose and my lips had elongated with age. And with my aquiline nose ,I think that a lip lift may look weird. Correct me if I am wrong. Maybe lip lift is not for every shape of lips and nose ?
This is so informative. I have vertical lines and will talk with my dermatologist about options
So helpful, thank you ❤
Thank you-I have been looking for info on this subject and this was very helpful.
I'm so glad!
Thank you! I learned a lot!
My pleasure
Thanks for all your education. It's really helpful!
I am so glad it is helpful!
My lip filler traveled past my upper lip so sad! Tell me more of what I should do!
Thx for your honesty.
What type of laser to get on lip lines, how long before you see a difference and how drastic can that difference be?
Great information! 😊
Good info. I'm over 70 and had a little too much botox (6 units) on my upper lip which caused me to drool when drinking out of a glass but otherwise it relaxed my lip nicely. I also had filler in the deeper lines and a little in the lips. Very happy with the natural look and have my lip back! I appreciate your honesty regarding all those heavily touted methods that don't work. I enjoy your videos. Thank you!
Fantastic info.!
Your lips look great, Dr. Karam!
I was wondering if he put filler in his lips!
Happy to be alive. I'd rather spend money on travel, friends and good food.
Excellent vid! Thank you for sharing info 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very informative.
Also, things are happening to bone/skeleton, correct?
After I get my stem cells treatment - I am coming to you to get my vertical restore with the lip fat transfer lift you talk about
Thank you for this wonderfully done video. I was wondering if using a topical lip plumper would be helpful. Are there any long lasting effects? My lips are getting thinner, but not horrible yet. When I apply vaseline, they plump up nicely though, but it doesn’t last of course.
Hello Dr. Karam. Can you please do a segment about the pros and cons of using Sculptura verses Fat Transfer? I would really appreciate it.
Thsnk you got your input, doc🎉
Great job ❤
I would like to know what the doctor thinks about the V to the Y lip surgery.
So frustrating to have all this fall apart and not have the funds to come to someone like you and fix these things. Very depressing that most providers take the money knowing its not going to really help the issues
tell me about it, I have been to 4 Dermatologist and an Allergist and just now they say I have Psoriasis on my neck an chin, I have used multiple medication that have made it worse or even made me sick! I'm just looking to heal my skin!
