I'd like to see someone over 50 who has used your products for x months with before and after photos without filters and without the professional lighting that makes skin look great when it isn't. I've seen too many "results" done via a truthful photo shown next to a professional photo job that makes all the flaws go away.

I’m very curious why no plastic surgeons ever talk about doing facial exercises? I do them all the time it’s amazing how you can keep your facial muscles firm and tone like the rest of your body! There are 43 different muscles in the face! I do my face exercises right after I get done with the gym or my swimming laps. I do them three times a week! You can do them while you’re driving while you’re watching TV anytime! I am 69!

the skin is attached to facial muscles and it stretches it. Speaking, laughing, crying etc already exercise the muscles

Please do a video for women in their 60’s who have had NO fillers, but are interested! And let’s see an example :) I volunteer! This late 40’s described as “aging” is ridiculous after you’ve turned 60!

Well, I think one of the main points of this video is that use of fillers is relatively limited for a typical woman in her 60's compared to a typical woman in her 40's... This is not to say an older woman cannot benefit from fillers. Just that fillers will generally be far more effective with younger women. Older women will, in general, benefit more with surgery rather than fillers!

I had filler in my tear trough 5 years ago. It migrated under my orbital bone onto my upper cheek and would swell enormously. Over the last year I have had several sessions of trying to dissolve it. Not only has it been a hassle, dealing with repeated bruising etc, but it has also been much more expensive than the original filler. Be very careful about tear trough filler. I was told it would last around 6 months and I’m still dealing with it 5 years later!

This is so educational. Your explanations are so comprehensive - most of all, they help me to understand the relations between different parts of the face. Which is something most of us don't understand when we walk into the practitioner's office. I had a premature deep trough in my mid-face fat pads (around the age of 40) and had it treated with a filler a couple times. I don't regret doing it, it helped to fill the hollowing but I definitely don't want to repeat it. I can see in my photos that I looked a bit overfilled - round like a tomato - at some point. I can see how it could easily cross the line to something very unnatural looking.

Great video.....I had my first face lift at 45.....I looked amazing for ten years..then I had another..great result...I'm now 75..look ten years younger..... Looking back I made smart moves....having a full face lift over the age of 60 usually looks wrong .....
Regarding lips..I had a procedure called softform inserted in my top lip...which is still there keeping my lip from shrinking...
Also dermabrasion was used to scrape away upper lines above lip..
I had permanent implants placed at cheekbones..(Small)....
This all took place when I was under 55......and I have always looked natural
We can't avoid looking older but I do not regret any of these procedures.....except recent botox..but that's another story

I didn’t have a wrinkle at 40 or even 49 or much volume loss but menopause really aged my skin in just 18 months. My diet was excellent but there are certain nutrients: foods that support menopause and the effects . Bone loss in the face can also affect aging.

I’m 55 and have fillers in cheeks, nasolabial and jowls and it looks fantastic! Just 2.5 ml in total on the face. And I keep my weight up to keep fat in face by enjoying my life with for example, a glass of wine and chocolate occasionally as well as good nutrition. If you keep a little extra pounds on as you get older it helps to fill out any sagging. Great video to remind us that to keep this up would mean looking odd, though I disagree with your timeline of in your 40s …. yep, soon be time for surgery …..if we all have the courage and dollars ….

Thank you for informative and honest videos. Would you consider making a video targeted for mature women 60 + who have had or will be getting a face, neck lift about what they can do during surgery, or what they can do post surgery, if they have already had it, to tweak their face to look more youthful? Many women do not realize that F. and N lifts will not replace fat loss, and they will still most likely need fillers to look their best especially the 60+age group. Please explain what a, mid- lower face lift, a neck lift or brow look can achieve and what it cannot achieve. I know many women who have gotten lifts and they are happy , yet disappointed because the lifts did not address wrinkles and hollows . Please explain how this age group could benefit from fillers, plasma injections, fat injections post surgery . Also how long should they wait after a face lift before getting fillers, lasers, IPLs, BBL etc? Thank you again Dr Amir for your educational videos .

@@nicolelente6770 I'm 57 but people usually guess my age at about 42. My hubby said it took 5 years off my face. After I had it done, the comments I received from others were more on the style of "Wow, you look good, did you do you hair differently?" They couldn't place what I had done. It was just the fact that the "tired" look was gone. I had only 1 syringe put in of Restylane (which is a small/moderate amount for the eye). You can ask your dr. to go lightly the first injection to see how much water your body pulls and how it fills out and if you want more he can add a little more. Not only did it fill the trough line indent, I had a darkness under my eye that it lightened up as well. I recently heard that new findings state using retinol depletes the fat in the face. Is this true? If not, please educate us on retinol and effects of fat transfer and face natural fat.

Here because I was curious about the title. The truth is if you do strategic skincare at a very young age daily and continue to do so for decades you will truly slow down the aging process. People think I'm half my age and I started diligent skincare at 15. Now in my early 40's people think I'm in my early 20's. I know exactly the difference between actually looking very young and not having wrinkles, these are two very different things. I am Asian and have great genetics to begin with but it's really the strategic skincare that I did diligently on a daily basis for decades that have helped me. Also lifestyle is part of the equation, as well as diet, and mental health. It's really important to exercise and have a positive mindset, it will show up on your face. Also to be healthy in eating habits but not too stringent or you will age from that as well.
You have to be smart with skincare too. You have to know what actually works the best. I always see people getting fillers and they start to look ridiculous, sorry to say. And imagine putting that in your face year after year and for decades, how will one end up looking? Anything that is aggressive to the face, whether that is injections or surgery is going to accelerate the aging process. I've never had botox. Not interested in fillers, just skincare for decades. It's the compound factor effects of doing something daily that will put you in a place where you are aging better than anyone else you see. But most people don't realize this and sleep on it and when it's too late they try to solve it with these aggressive treatments. As I said, anything aggressive such as injections including SURGERY will accelerate the aging process. But if you have to do these extreme things because you just didn't know then I get it. But the misconception that these extreme measures are better than doing daily and consistent skincare for decades since a very young age, which have such an extreme compound effect is exactly why the plastic surgery industry is booming. And the fact that I didn't get injections or surgery on top of my skincare is why I look younger. If I added injections and surgery I would definitely look so much older than I do!!! I think even in later age getting serious about skincare can do so much. And just remember if you still have a shot at maintaining your youthful looks, go the daily skincare route. I repeat, any time you do aggressive treatments you are actually accelerating the aging process. As for these facelifts, I would think that this is a last resort for those that feel like they have no other options. Best of luck to you all.

Terrific video! At the 10:55 minute mark of this video you describe my current status (initial stages of sagging). Before this video, I was considering Sculptra in the upper cheeks as I do have some volume loss in upper cheeks and under eyes. What would you recommend for someone who just turned 50, who is experiencing mild sagging but not ready for a faclift or vertical restore yet?

The very first time I had filler to a deep line off of my left lower lip area & nasal folds, The areas became infected. Took antibiotics & steroids to get rid if it. I waited 18 mos to try again with a diff person injecting - more conservative and diff product . It softend the deep wrinkle, but did not totally remove it. I came to the conclusion that it is not worth the money or risk. Once I finish the current skin care line I am using i will purchase the Trifecta and accept the fact that at 63, with my Italian heritage I hoping that will be on my side . My mom is 92 and does not look it, hopefully genetics transfer to me as well

I saw another prominent plastic surgeon recently making videos saying that the fat transfer could possibly move around and look strange because the fat is being transferred to your face from another part of your body.Saying basically because it isn't your own natural facial fat it could move to different areas of the face or change shape is that possible?
