What's the difference between the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite from 2020 compared to the newer 2022 edition? They are almost the same tablets. However, the new 2022 tablets has a different Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor and the software should be kept longer up-to-date. Besides that, they've got the same design, the same 10.4-inch display, and the same S Pen.

I was gonna buy the ipad 9 (450CAD) last year but instead i bought the s6 lite (2020) (300CAD).
Honestly i chose it because i was on a budget and since the pen was a huge deal i definitely took the s6 lite since it came with it for free and I didn't wanna pay another 100$ for the apple pen.
Also you dont need to charge the pen ever! Makes my life easier.
After 1 year of heavy use.
the s6 lite works great.
I use it mainly for 3D sculpting, school and illustrations too.
Decreasing in Battery life wasn't noticeable. It got a bit laggier but i think it was because i stuffed it with so many things and apps.
Finally it's android, i prefer android because of how open it is compared to apple. U can download anything and u have more options in general.
One last thing, if u wanna play games mainly the s6 lite will not be great, its just too laggy when playing new high graphics games. But if u wanna play low end games, draw or study I would say go with the galaxy s6 lite, it's great especially if you're on a budget.
I just bought the 2022 version on sale (I bought from Best Buy because they were clearly showing that it is the 2022 version. From Amazon, I could not determine for sure.) No sooner got it set up than it updated to Android 13 and UI 5.0! Very pleased with the performance. I've always insisted on "pure" Android and Pixel phones, but I'm finding that I like the Samsung UI. Thanks for all your reviews!
I find It funny on all the comparison videos of the new s6 lite that in the comment sections people keep asking for a comparison of this vs the tab A 10.1. 2019 (or the 8.0 tab A). Those aren't even in the same league people! One is a budget and one is a low end flagship..I'll help everyone out do NOT buy the tab A buy this instead.
You can't just tell people to buy the s6 lite, some people just can't afford it

@@22poskar Because some people may want to see how much worse is the cheaper tablet is compared to the one they can afford. And if it is too much worse they may want to save up for a few more months to get the higher end option.

I got the FE thinking it would be better than my tab s6 lite 2020 and I regret it! My tab s6 lite still works mazing for my needs. The size is perfect and I love the colors too.

@@lilitg0785 are you talking about S6 FE? i don't recall that exist, do you mean S7 FE? yeah i think looking at the specs it IS better than S6 lite, however the screen is a tad bit larger than S6 lite and the color options is a bit duller it depends if it's a negative or not

Thanks for the honest review good sir. I recently picked up a used but like new 2020 version for $95 and was worried because all the reviewers were saying the 2022 version was much faster. I didn't even realize there were 2 versions until after I bought it.
Thanks for belaying my fears and confirming the differences are minimal in everyday use. I've turned off animations and as many background processes as possible and only run one app at a time and it runs very well.
Obviously having the slightly better CPU and longer support makes the 2022 version superior but for now my 2020 one is running well and I'm very happy, especially for $95! 😊
You won't notice the difference. The 2020 is a great tablet,I've had it for 2 years no problems 😊
@@williampatrie514 Awesome, cheers dude. Yeah, lovin mine so far. It's a lot like the phones, the flagships are great but are overkill for what you need in a phone imo. If I need more power I use my laptop, if I need even more power I use my gaming desktop. The mid range phones and tablets are perfect for email, youtube, netflix, basic gaming, etc. Just my pov. :)

So confusing to find out which versions the stores sell, like Amazon, it doesn't say clearly which version they have.
Same. I am unable to classify which is the old version and which is the 2022 version. Have you been able to find out?
If you see Qualcomm Processor as a variant, it is the 2022 version

I got a refurbished 2020 from Amazon and it ended up being the 2022 version, but with a Snapdragon 732G.

I just bought one of these at Walmart at 10 pm for 299 for cloud gaming and a work organizer to replace my legit like notebook. I'm in love.
I am 78 years of age and have a Samsung Ta A 16/9 7" - now I would like to buy a new one. Now as I only use it as a quick reference and not to bother to go to my laptop in office upstairs - is it really worth me sending the extra money? I see it says something about updates, etc but my Samsung I bought in 2016 has managed to survive. So if I spend more money is it really worth me 'future' proofing? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thank you
not really worth getting the s6 lite atm, just wait for the next lite or get something substantially better like an s6, s7, s8. Most likely the next tablets would be an FE variant of the S series

It was a half official keyboard case Samsung sold on its German website. But it seems to be gone.

Just a minor question to confirm, did you notice any type of light bleeding around the edges? Especially by the usb port, I've seen other review of this tablet and I was worried that all tablets of this model would be affected because drawing quality is my top priority

it's kinda funny where on reviewer says it's Huge difference and other says it's not. You can not actually base your purchase on any of these reviews anymore.

If you can afford it then go for it, but make sure that you check out some other tablets first before you make that decision

Just ensure you get the 2022 version

1. I guess the number in the name indicates the year: SM P-610 is the 2020 version and SM P-613 is the 2022 version. Am I right?
2. If so, will a case for P-610 also fit the P-613? I'll order a case according to this info so anybody who can help would be very appreciated.🙏
You probably already found this out but yes, the p613 is the 2022 version. A case will fit both because they both have the same build just a different chip.

Ipad 9th Gen is 359€ + 99€ where i live and the S6 lite 290€ S Pen included.

@@prathatiwar3696 1st of all the apple pencil 1st gen for the ipad 9th gen does not cost $175, it costs around $99 it's an optional accessory targetted for artists and illustrators, if you want a stylus for just note taking and doodling on the ipad a $10 to $20 3rd party active stylus is what you need.
now 2ndley the 2 year old A13 chip on the ipad 9th gen outperforms the 2022 flagship Samsung galaxy tab S8 on CPU performance and no other tablet or smartphone in the $329 MSRP Price point comes closer to apple ipad 9th gen in terms of RAW power
+ they have added a 12 MP center stage camera on tbe Base ipad 9th gen this year which is also a flagship feature by apple and it works great it Also has a fingerprint scanner built in and it has better productivity softwares such as Lumafusion, Procreate, Garageband etc... which no othr android tablet offers

then bring it on...
