It definitely tells you how popular the S6 Lite is if Samsung is willing to keep it alive with a second refresh. It means they must be selling a lot of them.
I think It's possible that it's really cheap for them to make because they are using similar parts. They just update the processor. Also, that allows them to drop the price a lot and people are willing to get something cheap
They are literally giving them away with new s24 devices
Long battery life, low power consumption, reading, writing and watching videos, moderate performance, low price, will make a truly useful tablet for students.
For sure
Android Digest, Subscribed because your content is fantastic!
Thank you so much. It seriously means a lot
Your content is always very helpful. Did 1:29 you do a review for Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 classic?
I didn't! I would love to but smart watch reviews just aren't a huge hit on my channel. So I stick to phones and tablets
GREAT VIDEO AS ALAWAYS!!!
Thank you so much
Nice video!!!
Thanks so much
Im going to start university soon, and i'm searching for a good budget friendly samsung tablet rn. I would only use it for digital art, note taking and watching videos- would this tablet last me a good 4-5 years or should i opt for the s9 fe?
Hey man!
Does it have screen bleeding or dead pixels issue?
I didn't notice anything like that for me personally.
How does it perform waiting for my free one with the s24 ultra ill be using it for media consumption only
Keep in mind they may be giving away the 2022 version with that device. It's definitely going to be a big step down from the bigger phones out there. But the main advantage is going to be just having a larger screen for videos, and having an s pen. It's a nice bonus for sure. But when you have a high-end phone, you have to make sure you have to keep your expectations in check. No high refresh rate screen.
@@AndroidDigest yes I understand that just checked the terms and it's this model SM-P620NZAAEUB which indeed after an online check it's the 2024 tab
I think that the upgraded processors should enable this to do that photo cut-out thing now. I'm not sure, though
One thing I didn't test. But you're right, it may be there in the gallery
i built my set up from your videos. how can i show it to you?
Feel free to send an email to zach@androiddigest.com , that's awesome
Always great videos, but we all got our opinions and mine is if you don't need the S-Pen just get the Tab A9+ which has 8gb RAM, better screen, better speakers and is actually less expensive. If you do need the S-Pen just get the Tab s9 FE when it is on sale for $349.99 which has even a better screen, 6gb RAM, includes the S-PEN and is still even less expensive. And you're not stuck having to purchase it from Amazon which offers IMO no good additional protection coverage like Best Buy.
But we actually shared the same opinion! In fact your comment is pretty much the premise of my video. The s-pen is the one reason to consider this. IF you find it on sale, and if you're desperate for an s-pen, then sure, for $200, or $230, $250, even $280, that's fine. If you can't afford more, and you basically want a similar device to the A9+ with an s-pen, that's the target audience. But in most cases, like you said, the S9 FE is the way to go (I recommended that in the video too) because it's only $20 more right now with the sales.
So I wasn't super negative towards this tablet, but yeah, it's in that middle spot. The A9+ is better in a lot of ways, and it's $100 cheaper. Sometimes even cheaper than that after sales. And the S9 FE is on sale for nearly the same price as the S6 Lite 2024, and it's WAY better.
The only reason to get the S6 Lite 2024, is if you find it on sale for like $230 AND you really really want an s-pen. At that point, for people on a budget who need an s-pen, it's really the only decent option. But in most cases the S9 FE will be a better value, or the A9+.
We are 10000% on the same page.
Also, I love what you said at the end, Best Buy's insurance has been huge for me. $180 a year, and because I buy tech all the time, I have insurance on everything from my router, to my Bluetooth mouse, my phone, my laptop, and my tablet, all because I bought it through Best buy. That extra protection is worth something, so I definitely prefer buying from there over Amazon.
I have a beaten up tab s6 lite 2020. The tab s6 lite 2024 is now $250 but the Tab s9 Fe is $350. Should I upgrade and Is the 100 dollar difference worth it?
Yes. Definitely worth it in my opinion. If you can swing it. It's worth it.
It's a better screen, better performance, better refresh rate, water Resistance, bigger battery, a fingerprint sensor. Personally I'd get it. But if someone really wanted an s pen and didn't have the money I wouldn't knock them for saving the cash either
I still might get the S6 Lite due to Walmart selling it at $199 rn (whole steal), and now that it’s got a refresh it probably last me a good while.
I'm not sure they are selling the 2024 model though. It's probably the 2022 model. Keep that in mind. Unless 2024 is in the title it's most likely the earlier model
@@AndroidDigest I just checked and it is the 2022 model. Honestly I might still get it because it’s cheaper out of Amazon, but I’ll see if I can get a 2024 model for around the same price
This tablet continues to come up at the top of the list as a great device for digital art due to its price and availability. Especially since Samsung products go on sale and it's a cheaper alternative to the iPad considering the iPad does not include the Apple Pencil.
That's a pretty massive thing. That extra $50 or 100 or whatever you would pay, that adds up. So happy that it comes with it
@@AndroidDigest Apple Pencil adds an ADDITIONAL $100 to the cost of an iPad. It's why digital artists recommend Samsung tablets over iPads all things being equal.
I am getting New s6 lite on 15,500INR should i buy this Or
Samsung A9+(4/64) for 11k??? Can you guide me?
You should really just watch this whole video. I pretty much explain it even if I use US prices to explain it. The A9+ has a better refresh rate on the screen. The s6 Lite 2024 (only the 2024 version) has a better gpu, and an s pen. It's pretty even other than that. So get the S6 Lite if you want an s pen. That's assuming you get the 2024 model. Otherwise get that A9+
@@AndroidDigest thanks bro🫂,
I will go with A9+
Another great vid, thx. I just got one of these for free for buying an S24 Ultra!
I'll quickly mention you might have got the 2022 version. Basically the same thing, just a slightly slower processor. Still a nice thing to have. Hope you enjoy it
@@AndroidDigest yeah good point!I checked and it's not clear which version but the do mention on the offer "with 349" which is yhe list price of the current model. Let's see when it arrives. I wonder if this is a reason for keeping the same model name.
Thank god s6 lite isn't available in the country i am living in so my parents had to choose s9 fe with s pen for studies Lol. Btw can you play a youtube video in 1440p and confirm whether it supports is? because my internet is slow and only barely runs 1080p so i am not sure whether the resolution of s9 fe is actually supported by youtube
The S9 FE goes up to the 2160p option. So good news! It's not stuck on 1080p or 1440p
The S9 FE goes up to the 2160p option. So good news! It's not stuck on 1080p or 1440p
@AndroidDigest how though? When the pixels are physically limited to 2300 into 1440 pixels how can it do 4k? I am not knowledgeable in this so bear with me please 😅
Hi, great video!
I need your opinion, in my country.. If you buy S6 Lite 2024 for 5.5m or $345, you'll get Galaxy buds 2 for free. And for S9 FE, it costs 6.5m or $410 with no freebies. So which one should i get ? This will be my first time using a tablet though. Thanky 😊
Part of it depends on if you have any headphones at all, and I would also say it depends on what type of phone you have. If you have a pretty fast phone, higher end phone, I would recommend just getting the s9 Fe. There is a nice jump in performance. And the screen is also a little nicer too. And it has a higher refresh rate. It's just overall a big jump. For that hundred extra dollars I would take that, and I would just look for some type of deal out there on headphones separately. That's what I would do in your shoes probably. But if you really really need good headphones and you want Samsung headphones, that may be worth looking into. In the US, we could use a thing like eBay and probably find those headphones for like $50. Anyway. If you have the money, and you don't have a gigantic need of headphones this second, I do think the Samsung is still a better value, the Fe.
i only used my unit for a year..for netflix and some yts..and its bootlooping and stuckup logo i cant used it anymore..technicians said this unit is not good
Sounds like you might have the 2022 version. That definitely sounds like some strange issue. Definitely defective
Another tablet video. Superb!
I've got two more coming. An updated review on the S8 Ultra, revisiting that tablet of the past, and I also have an S9FE updated review. Then I'll review the A35. So a phone for once. But I'll be focusing on tablets for a little bit
The A9+ is probably the first "good" Tab A device considering it could be better than the S6 Lite 2024
Basically it's a little worse GPU in the A9+. No s-pen. But a better refresh rate. Pretty much an even trade with the S6 Lite. Which is impressive
I just got one for school notes 🙂
Hopefully you enjoy it!
My old versiom dosent play netflix and dosent play youtube films pls help😢😢😢😢😢😢
Sorry but an issue like that, you may have to bring it into a store to get it diagnosed. Or you may have to work with customer service, even though they could be the worst. Sometimes. An issue like this would take a ton of back and forth to figure out
I've just bought an S24 Ultra and it came with a free S6 Lite. Fantastic!
Enjoy it! You may have gotten the 2022 version free, but outside of the processor difference, it's going to be the same anyway. Hope you enjoy it.
Is it any good for children just wanting to play games?
Oh for sure. Would be great for that. Even the Tab a9+ would be good for that. Both are great for that option. My daughter plays Roblox on the a9+, the S6 Lite 2024 is even better, would be great for basic gaming.
Thank you, I think she's preferre the lite as there's a pen so she can do her drawings ect, thank you again for the advise 😊
This man really knows what he is talking.
Thanks, it means a lot
The S6 Lite has been a freebie when you buy a S24 phone in the UK in April.
Pretty good deal. You may still only be getting the 2022 model but it's nearly identical. And it's a nice freebie
@@AndroidDigestit’s the 2024 model, My partner got one free with his S24 Ultra
Spen nibs are still a minefield crapshoot to find. Lot of third-party scratch hard, no rubberized tip or wear like pencil lead soft. Official replacements remain secret. Rams still low. But to be honest biggest gripe remains the waffle and poor use as second screen intersecting with the lack of usb video out. Superdisplay or scrcpy likes exist but are not android to android options. Recent TH-cam av1 change also hurt all versions of this tab a bit.
I just don't mind a lot of those things for the price. Most devices won't come with a stylus at all, and this device will go on sale pretty often for around $200. So still a good option even if it's not for everyone. But you've got legit gripes here too
watching this from my galaxy tab s9 fe, i found it on sale for 300€, craazy deal. I recommend the s9 fe if u find a good sale, the s6 lite was my alternative and i still think it is a good option if u dont need a big screen or a better processor.
the video says it all tho
I thought it was very important to mention that. For 350 in the US that tablet has been such a steal. You get the pen, you get a nice processor, a nicer screen, it's even water resistant. I'm glad you got such a good deal
Im buying an s9
Can't go wrong there!
But to me. That central camera is the best place for it
Yeah I agree with you
Thank you so much. I'm glad that it helped some.
You know that I also have an A9+ Tab.
Reminds me of the Frankenstein.
I guess 😂
And. My Tab was free with buying a. Galaxy S24 ultra
Same here Im waiting for mine
But u have to say. Id prefer a galaxy S9. Or S10 when its released. Not an fe. Model
Yeah those devices are so nice
Why didn't they just make an s9 lite? Or call it the s9 lite?
That's a good point. I think it's because they didn't change anything at all about the device. It doesn't have the same camera setup as all the other devices. The Fe devices, for example, have the same exact camera design as the tab S9. All of the other Samsung phones from the same generation share the same exact physical design for the most part. This is keeping the same design as the S6 lite. That's probably their justification
Nits?
About 435
Was that a prosthetic Finger??
Hahaha. I get so many of these comments. Just weird fingers
@@AndroidDigest Sorry
It is a good ice breaker for new subs
Looks like swan neck deformity but you're good, brother.
Loved your video.
I got mine free with my S24 ultra, it's decent enough
That may have been the 2022 version. Either way it's the same outside of the processor. It's a nice tablet to have
@@AndroidDigest it's the smp620 running on android 14,which I believe is the 24 version. 2022 version is 619. Hardly any difference though
@@AndroidDigestit’s the 2024 model, my partner got one free with his S24 Ultra
Nice hat
Thank you!
Automatic like ❤
Thanks so much
*Don't buy the S6 Lite and buy the S9 FE instead.*
You will thank me later.
I agree that for most people that should be the answer. The Fe is such a good device. I think there's a place for the S6 lite for some. Those who really prefer a smaller device or those who just don't have the money for the Fe. But if you could save up I definitely think it's worth it. The Fe is great
Nice bendy finger
Haha. My fingers have always been a little weird. I guess they were just born a little bit
UR FINGER
Yeah my fingers are wild sometimes.
