Just a note for any one who gets the pedals for this HOTAS, the pedals do not work in Ace Combat 7 (they work with games like Eve: Valkyrie, Ultra wings and End Space)! So if you are getting a HOTAS only for AC7 don't get the pedals! My Delivery of the HORI Ace Combat 7 HOTAS has been delayed to sometime between Feb 2-20 😑 Good to see you on a video again, bet you had to wait forever for your laptop to finish rendering this vid!
Smaller manufacture that is often focused on Japan only products at, that in my case will ship to amazon Germany first before they send it on. So it's not going to be a common product in the west as it has a super focused use on PS4 and there are many more alternatives on PC side.

Great and solid review… I’ve just bought it for myself and played yesterday for the first time with PS4 Pro and Ace Combat 7 on VR! I agree… it’s mind blowing experience and feels so realistic with Thrustmaster… I just had to be extra cautious to prevent falling from the chair during some manoeuvres😂
Man , the VR is so intense. I agree the 2nd mission is the best and as someone who has played tons of VR I still had to give my stomach a rest after about an hour of playing. May have to get this Hotas as it's also compatible with Eve Valkyrie and Ultrawings. Great review Paul !
Great review Paul! I bought the Logitech G29 steering wheel because of GT Sport VR mode and found it also made the flat game so much more immersive. I’m hoping the same here! It will also be great to revisit those other PSVR titles. I enjoyed Endspace for its simplicity but found the last level impossible, hope Eve Valkyrie and Starblood Arena are easier to control and more intuitive with the HOTAS? I was about to jump on this but there is also a Hori HOTAS coming out which has haptic vibration (doesn’t sound like true force feedback) but at over twice the price. Does anyone know much about it? Maybe if you reach out to them you will be lucky enough to receive a review copy!!! Would love a comparison. Would the Thrustmaster benefit from force feedback or haptic vibration or is it fine without?
I reached out to HORI but not sure if I get it as they are much smaller company, but their Joystick does looks good, but Thrustmaster feels great even without vibrations
Good to know about the haptic feedback, thank you. I'll hold off then on getting this then, and then never use it, because I suck. I spent $600 on a fanatek driving wheel and pedals for the Xbox and all I ever did was pull it out of the box, it collected dust, put it back in the box and it's been on the shelf ever since. Never used it once. Haptic, does that mean it just vibrates in your hand? Cause I can just strap my gfs vibrator (another expensive item that never gets used) onto the Flight Stick for free.

I wish the FCS Hotas was supported by PS4, I had a TM T-flight X and only a week or two in the stick started to creak and send vibrations up the shaft, had to send it back. 😩
I would recommend against this controller for ace combat 7. The POV hat cannot be used for looking in the cockpit or in 3rd person view. Something you would need outside the VR missions. Instead they decided to have a very awkward setup in which you need to press a button on the throttle in combination with the joystick. So either you can look around in order to search for targets, or you fly in the right direction. The hat is reserved for selecting quick messages on multiplayer.
Yeah I noticed that in non VR mode, but I mostly using it for VR games, plays great:-) they could just assign that little d-pad for looking around, hopefully they will update it

Hello Paul, I am having a severe drift to the right with my Hotas 4 ace of combat, it happened after playing several missions. If i wobble the stick the drift will go for a short period of time. Then it will drift again, even if the stick in the center position. Any fix for this problem?

you missed Elite Dangerous, War Thunder, Air missions: HIND, Air Conflicts: Secret Wars, End Space and The crew 2, unless is only VR games in which case the aforementioned does not apply
can you help me with something, what button releases bombs. when the circle appears i guess you have to wait for it to turn red but not sure what button does this and you cannot change weapons to bombs in mission 2
You have to choose bombs as special weapons before mission, while in game you need to change your rackets to special weapon with square button on dualshock or R3 on flight stick and the you can fire them with circle on ds4 or L1 on flightstick
Bro have you noticed that there’s a DLC (season pass) that contains 6 items. I read about it and saw that the DLC includes 3 missions and 3 new aircrafts but no other info about it. Have you gotten your hands on it or have any clue if it’s related to the main campaign or something entirely on its own like the VR

I will do some more, my problem is my mega slow laptop, it takes ages to edit multiple tracks and export the video, but once I invest in proper PC I probably will be on cam all the time

What's happening with it? You need to switch ps4 on first then once it on and controller is plugged in press PS button in the middle and it should work, without any setup or owt

I bought this stick for AC7 as well, but it is worth mentioning that works just as perfectly for PC VR flight sims as well.. HIGH value!

With the AC7 preorder you also get ac5 free, is ac5 hotas compatible?
i doubt it's compatible, AC5 is PS2 game so it was likely not touch and back then no josytick / hotas, first one appeared on PS3

Looks like it needs calibrating, it calibrated automatically if you switch on Ps4 with flightstick plugged in

I have this controller on xbox one and I cannot get my thrust more than 600mph... I push the thruster all the way forward but nothing.

Try to switch your Ps4 off with your HOTAS plugged in and then switch it on with it plugged in aswell
