Hey guys! I’ve gotten a lot of comments suggesting ways to secure the HOTAS so it doesn’t move around, and I very much appreciate them, but they won’t be necessary anymore.
There seems to be a new revision of the HOTAS 4 with mounting holes as many viewers have informed me, which means the complaint about the HOTAS won’t apply for new buyers.

Sorry, I’m not sure. I was just informed by some viewers in the comments. I have no idea when the new revision came into place or how you can check if that’s what you ordered. You can always ask them if there are mounting holes though.

I just used Velcro put one on my desk and one on the controller works just fine, when I'm not using it I just pull it off and set it aside.

Easiest fix for the table mounting situation is to use heavy duty adhesive Velcro on the bottom of the controller and the table surface.

What an absolutely excellent presentation. No mumbling, no irritating word whiskers like excessive um’s or aah’s and no excessive speech volume modulation which makes you too loud for a few words then impossible to hear for the next few words like so many TH-cam presenters. OUTSTANDING!!!
In fact you should run a school for motormouth TH-cam presenters who sound more like Rappers than instructional presenters.
I really enjoyed this.
I’m hoping this Thrustmaster HOTAS will also work on the upcoming MS Flight Simulator 2020 and XBox series X. That will be my perfect system.

As for the Xbox Series X, I’d recommend picking the Xbox version of this HOTAS (HOTAS One). I’m not sure if it’s totally compatible with Xbox series X as it’s for Xbox One (hence the “One” in the name) but given that it’s still Xbox, I think you’ll have a better bet with the HOTAS One than the HOTAS 4.

I have never made a comment on a TH-cam video, because most are just daft. Be here is a lesson well demonstrated of how to make one. Well planned. Lots of preparation. Scripted. organised. Informative. Good tech set up, tested before shoot, again good planning. Excellent presentation. Explanation then demonstration followed critiques or questions answered. Slow, steady, articulate delivery so we understand the product and review. And a little humour of course. Brilliant brilliant brilliant .... I have watched several reviews of this on TH-cam but this has been the best by far. Well done. By the way I have just ordered mine online. Difficult to get hold of a hotas at a reasonable price just now, maybe because of lock down, but it seams to be just the job for me.

Great video. I have this HOTAS, it actually has mounting holes now, 2 in each half. It's also doubled in price since I bought it in December of '19, but all HOTAS have gone up significantly in price in 2020. Seriously, though, fantastic review. Keep it up.

You said that the cable between them when you want to split them is 90 centimeters? All other reviews said it's only about 45 to 50 cm. Can you check that?

I didn’t say the cable was 90cm. I said that when separated, the units can be separated by 90cm at most, meaning the leftmost end of the throttle to the rightmost end of the stick are about 90cm apart. The cable is approximately the length you mentioned.

I do like how you demonstrated this with different types of flight games, instead of just primarily focusing on Microsoft flight sim.
