What a lovely rendition of one of my parents favourite pieces. Thank you to the organist Loreto Aramendi, to the person who filmed it/recorded it and to the person putting this up on TH-cam
C’est vraiment magnifique. Le jeu de Loreto est sublime. Que d’émotions nous fait elle resentir. Bravo. Venant moi aussi du Pays-Basque, j’en suis plus qu’honoré.
its really nice played with feeling and respect for the music, I don't have so offently the pleasure to hear someone who understand and perform this piece so good !
Stephane Van Anvers thank you. I have many more videos of Loreto. Also the organ's stop list is here if you are interested: www.olrbrooklyn.org/pipeorgan/
Very good performance. The organ, as mentioned by many, has very strong bass. I could be wrong, but I do not believe it is a tracker (or no longer is), which I prefer for Bach's music. I suspect it was converted at some point, but I cannot find info on this. Very smooth and full, sweet sound.
You should go hear her play, she is a wonderful lady and she and her husband are heading up the restoration for a VERY important pipe organ in all of Europe. www.organosantamaria.org
When Bach wrote pieces in Eb, to him, that key had a deeper significance like Soul and God connection. I have always been intrigued by the Cb chord, wondering what Bach was really saying with that climatic progression? Lorato has a unique way of interpreting Bach's printed music. Was she once in that time?
Especially beautiful on Good Friday. Thank you for brilliant performance.
je n'ai jamais entendu cette oeuvre de JS Bach si bien jouée . Merci

Beautiful...one of the most poetic performances of this masterpiece I've ever heard.
Thanks.

VRAIMENT MAGNIFIQUE BRAVO
The bass is amazing from this organ 👍🔊
I didn't see any fish swimming around near it.
How can you not like this ✈
Lovely, heavenly, thank you for performing and posting this performance!
Great music, sensitive playing!
ogni volta si ascolta ti fa volare in alto
Absolutely lovely, this refurbish Pipe Organ sound much better after restoration. Excellent!
Sehr schön!
Lovely Loreto thanks
grande sensibilità e cantabilità
Great Interpretation, she comes close to the Karl Richter Interpretation of this masterfull piece
The organ playing is very nice.
An absolutely excellent performance!
Great ! Loreto !
"O Mench bewein" requires such intensity and sustenance - and this young woman has it. Marie-Claire Alain would approve.
precioso

Loreto Aramendi plays Bach's O Mensch, bewein dein Sünde grog on the pipe organ at Our Lady of Refuge in Brooklyn, New York #pipeorgan #bach
Beautifully expressive playing,
marvelously recorded,
a splendid instrument in every way!

***** Totally agree!
Thank you both very much. If you go to San Sebastien Spain you have to go to her church and meet her! loretoaramendi.com/en/
I live near Sebastian and have heard Loreto play but have never met her. Her playing moves me and thank you "pipe-organ" for all your videos.

What a beautiful music (✿◠‿ ◠) Thank you Loreto ! You are playing so lovely (✿◠‿ ◠)
Rather mangled the title. Nice registration. Nicely straightforward ornamentation. A lovely performance of a beautiful piece by the Master.
Very beautiful sound (or timbre?). What's its name? It resembles choir voices. Beautiful rendition and organist.
I believe you are talking about the Clarinet stop, which is used for the solo

Tone of organ, choiced stops, performance - such music helps me feel better :-) . Is it digital console, or real pipe organ?
It is a pipe organ, there is not a single digital tone in it. read some more www.olrbrooklyn.org/pipeorgan
Who is this ORGANIST? Where can she be found? What country? Dr. Barnes

Is that a clarinet or oboe reed stop?
“Bewail”?

O mensch, bewein dein - not “bewail dean”
