Absolutely love this organ, this organist, this space, this music... but man, one or two of those higher mixture notes just absolutely screeched every now and then. Was a bit shocking with really high-quality headphones on and the volume all the way up; can only imagine how it must have been to be at the console! But, occasionally raucous upperwork aside, this was a joy to watch and listen to.
It is not the mixture. It is the treble ends of 2 stops. Those pipes have made a trip to the pipe voicer so they will tune dead in for Daniel Roth's recital in about a month. Fear not! olrbrooklyn.org/news/2015/03/20/daniel-roth-play-last-organ-concert/
jfpb1567 thank you, it sound better then it has any right to, you should have heard what it used to sound like - AWFUL. It is excellent now. You can read more about this pipe organ at: www.olrbrooklyn.org/pipeorgan/
How on earth she navigates those impossible Tournemire intervals with her small hands is a mystery to me. The compass of Tournemire's palm width was significantly greater than Ms. Aramendi's. Brava.
SeattleBoatdog thank you for your support! Please help me get the word out that Daniel Roth will be the last organ recital on April 24, 2015. Thank you www.olrbrooklyn.org/organ-recitals-in-new-york-city/daniel-roth/
Love the pedal work
Bellamente jugado! Y, además, tiene el encanto y la belleza.
