The REAL Reason Jordan Poole Got Traded (It Wasn't Draymond Green)...

  • The real reason Jordan Poole got traded wasn't because of Draymond Green. The Jordan Poole Washington Wizards trade for Chris Paul sent Jordan Poole to play with Kyle Kuzma in DC, where Chris Paul jointed the Golden State Warriors to play with his arch nemesis Steph Curry, who have battled it out in the NBA for many years on opposing teams. Many NBA rumors didn't show this as a trade destination for Jordan Poole, especially for an aging Chris Paul. Who do you think won this trade? Let us know in the comments.

Draymond Green was a factor but not the only factor:- Attitude problems towards his seniors, ball hog, defensive liability to name a few. That Dray incident created a rift in the locker room between the younger and older guys and also kind of affected Kuminga by extension. Ball hog, he is a great shooter but not a great passer thus affecting the morale and activeness of the other 4 players on the court that is why you will find JP has like 20 something but Kuminga has 3 to 7 points and 11 points in a "good" game same case with moody, GP. Defensive liability, he is not gifted and he is not interested to growth in that aspect i blame partly NBA for this attitude in the younger players, when players target him defensively he looses composure and we have seen from time to time make untimely and very foolish fouls at the tail end leading to GSW loosing the game. His desire to be the guy is a plus but the timing and the manner that he went about it is all wrong. He is Patrick McCaw 2.0. Wizards basically have what we call fools gold. The wizards will be very lucky if the make it to the playoffs. The other starting 4 are screwed. With all these negative review about JP it does not mean he is not redeemable. He is very much redeemable, he is in a position to lead and by being an effective leader he has to grow as a man, give up the ball to his PG and trust his PG and then work on his defense. He has come a long way, i hope he still aspires growth in the important things. It will be sad to watch his career fizzle out because of immaturity.

He was a chemistry killer. Had major issues when he was having bad games, would just stop trying, throw his hands up and quit. It's out there for people to see themselves. But other than that, my feeling is the warriors know they aint gonna have the money Poole wants and will demand once it's time to sign a new contract. They don't even have enough money to pay Klay next season without him taking a major pay cut, with the new CBA rules. They're stretched really thin in terms of the cap right now and the rule changes that have gone into effect.

It’s pretty simple his upside was not as good as his badside was bad if you understand my meaning. We can say all we want that Poole should have gotten more mentorship etc but let me drop a reality check. They play in the nba. Professional basketball players. Poole started acting like a child so he was treated like one. This type of stuff doesn’t just happen. It’s built up over time. Likely he was causing the same problems during the championship run but a lot of stuff can be ignored when you’re winning

    • @lucidstudious750
      @lucidstudious750 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

"He was acting like a child" nah that shi was encouraged by Draymond green. Before the punch he was asked about Poole trash talking in practice and he replied "I like it you gotta be able to take it". He punched the kid when it turned on him
The team was broken as a whole. Post the hawks game in January Poole cut down the turnovers having the least out main players (you can find steve Kerr post game conferences talking about it) and he actually was playing solid
It didn't matter tho because like I said the whole team was broken and they all collapsed. Klay disappeared, steph turned into a TOV machine, Poole shot terribly, draymond wasn't present on defense, and e en rhe role players ducked. So the team made a decision to blow it up and fix the mistakes from last season

As a warrior fan even if dray never slumped it’s easy to see poole was gonna have attitude problems. Same with lots of young guys in the league. He’d get the ball taken from him and instead of trying to get it back with good defense he’d just hack the guy n act like it was his teammates fault for not stopping the ball 😂😂😂always blaming everyone but himself when he wasn’t doing good plus he’ll drop 40 for you then shoot 1/11 the very next game 💀 he’s talented af but I’m glad we got rid of him

1st of all draymond said he liked Poole talking shi in practice because "you gotta be able to take it". later he punched poole
2nd of all, basketball is a game of rhythm. If you don't get into a rhythm you don't perform well. Jp was bounced from options 1-5 that season while being part of multiple starting lineups. No player would get into rhythm like that
3rd of all post a hawks game in January Poole averaged nearly 30ppg without steph and the least turnovers on the warriors. This extended all the way to April where he was turning the ball less frequently then the STARTERS who were playing recklessly
*Basically:* So all of this is mostly draymonds fault. He encouraged the cocky behavior from Poole, then punched him breaking the team chemistry. All the injuries threw off the rhythm of everyone on that team ESPECIALLY Poole because he was available most of the season. In the post season, draymond caused more issues, klay disappeared, steph turned into a turnover machine, and the whole team collapsed but people used Poole as a escape goat instead of pointing out how broken the team was as a whole. Even the veteran 3 were doing some rookie shi out there
(Also yes I watched every single game from the warriors last season)

@@lucidstudious750 First of all, by that logic, you have to be able to take a punch as well. Bro thought he could talk crazy with no consequences.
Second of all, that's how you get to where you are. Steph didn't have the green light from day 1. You have to be able to adjust and make best with what you're given. That's called being a pro. EVERY all-time greats went through this and showed why they were great. It's crazy to say NO PLAYER would be like this.
Third of all, you're acting like they were winning. 14-12 doesn't sound too good to me. You're not suggesting they take out hall of famers for JP?
Basically: You're delusional and idek how you reached this conclusion. Poole is shooting 24% from 3 right now and maybe it's permanent brain damage from Draymond?😂 Draymond didn't encourage complaining about getting subbed out/not getting minutes and never encouraged talkin crazy to vets outside practice. Draymond was not even playing. What you talkin to him for?😂 The vets have a reputation from history. Poole has done it once when nobody knew him. The fact is, he was getting figured out by teams and he didn't have anything to show for it besides his horrible 3 pt percentage (which is his bread and butter).

Warriors games are so much better to watch this season with CP3 compared to JP. The problem with JP is that it's immediately obvious that he has nearly no basketball IQ, his only focus is scoring. It's annoying af seeing all his turnovers and lack of defense. He helped contribute to a chip for the warriors and they gave him a bag in return and I'm glad they traded him away.

Poole has a set of skills that can be weaponized IF USED PROPERLY. So when Poole followed directions, he had value.
Once he decided he should be allowed to freestyle and do whatever he wants, he had negative value. Refused to play within the system. Tries to do Steph stuff, but the ball goes in only 2/3 as often. Which is useless.

Out of context, but I work with someone just like poole (possibly worse) she joined the team not knowing anything and demanded things even senior cats won't ask for. a year into the job, she still doesn't know much and has an attitude. she brown-noses the manager and that is the only reason why she has a job. but yeah, I cheered poole on even when ppl talked trashed about him, i thought he would improved but i was wrong.
