It's surprisingly very easy and simple for me to read Hebrew written in Latin, i'm from Croatia and here we have a rule ''we write as we read, and we read as we write'' and it seems to work well in this case. We pronounce the letters in the alphabet in the same way as we pronounce the letters in the words. So basically you just have to learn the alphabet and you can automatically read every word without even hearing it.

I'm also learning Hebrew but you certainly don't need to speak any Hebrew to visit Israel. I recently visited Herzliya, Tel Aviv-Yafo and Jerusalem and everyone spoke enough English for me to get by fine. It's much more fun though when you can at least say basic things like please and thank you and a familiarity with the aleph bet is useful to make sense of signs in public.
Cheers for this, I have been researching "learn hebrew for free" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Bonincoln Hebrew Handful - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin got great results with it.
This is great. I have been partially deaf since birth, so learning a language other than English has always been difficult. Being able to see a person speaking the words and using closed captioning as well as being able to read the modern Hebrew and corresponding English transliteration on screen at the same time is what I need - in order to comprehend sounds I cannot actually hear. Years of Temple Biblical Hebrew activity in my younger years had been forgotten - but the alphabetical and reading basics came back quickly. I can do this. If you all ready know the Hebrew alphabet and can read words (slowly), this method works even better. A very important positive aspect about this method is the practicality of the subject matter of the lessons - early on, the simple basic phrases you can relate to in real life.
Million thanks to you madam. I learn very well hebrew language even i cath slowly.Your teaching us in a smooth way and really understand perpectly the way you are talking.

We want to become very proficient at reading, writing, speaking & listening to Hebrew before even traveling their for leisure exploration in the near term future :)
That is a really nice class and the best teacher ever.

Thank you!! For helping us!! Love the way you teach; taking time to repeat everything! Todah raba🤗 God bless you💖
