I don't think any game has given a more detailed , continuous or better insight into the graft, energy and stress it takes to make a game come to life. Thanks 2player for documenting the whole project so well.

What a great end to a wonderful and beautiful documentary series. This series is not only a perfect compliment to the game, it's essential viewing in my opinion for people with even a vague interest in video game development. 2Player Productions has really created one of the best docuseries of all time. The level of intimacy and access to the people involved, the cinematography, the music, and the insightful interviews really just made this series incredible. I'm sad that it's over but I'm also happy it happened at all. Thanks Double Fine for a great game and thanks 2Player for a great series!

I finished playing Broken Age the other day and, upon completion, I did as I always do when finishing, well, anything, and Wikipedia'd it. Lo-and-behold I found out about this documentary. I decided to give it a quick peek (assuming it was going to be only about an hour or so long) and wound up binge-watching through all 20 glorious episodes in just two days.
The game aside, this documentary about the making of it was fantastic all on its own. Each person in it was overflowing with personality; Tim Schafer was so hilarious that his lines seemed almost scripted; and it was all-in-all a shockingly emotional and inspiring experience. This really needs more recognition, as it would be entertaining for even people who don't play games, I think. The only other doc series that's hooked me this hard and had me this emotionally invested was the Making A Murderer series on Netflix (which perhaps would be a good home for this series?). A completely different type of series, sure, but the addictive qualities were similar.
Anyway. It's depressing that I'd never even heard about this until now. Good job!

I really liked Broken Age but I think I enjoyed watching this amazing team make it even more as told through this fantastic documentary. This is without a doubt the best video game development documentary out there - nothing else I've watched at least matches its level of insight and honesty. The biggest thing I took away from it though is that Tim Schafer is the man.

I´m a little too late on this. But I have to pay my respect for the whole team. When I was a kid playing Full Throttle or The Dig or this wierd adventure games, I was always asking to myself, how they do that...in all these years I´ve always get some bits of answer here and there, even tryng myself to do something...But when a company open the doors to reveal the "trick"...and all the soul involved...this is priceless. Thanks.

That was an incredible documentary. I absolutely didn't thought I was going to learn and see so much things when I randomly watched Episode 1 after I started playing Psychonaut and looking stuff on it. Now all I want to do is buy the boxed version of Broken Age play the game(which I heard some about before this, but didn't get much further than "it's a point&click, how stupid I feel), listen the soundtrack and finish Psychonaut to support the sequel. Thank you Double Fine, a huge thank you, and Bravo for making this happened, it was hard and surely stressful, but you might have just created a masterpiece. Thanks the makers of this documentary too, it's a great job you made, good camera-scenes, music is cool, always interesting and making me want to watch the next episodes. You guys are amazing. Amazing work from both 2Player and Double Fine. I started to watch this series to have a inside look game development, as I was daydreaming about working with games, and what I saw was great people putting their love and effort in this game. I will say one more time, you guys are amazing and I wish you could see this because you deserve the love of your fans. And I say this because what I learned from this documentary is that I should persist in achieving my goals. I don't know if I could or will work in this industry, as I see myself old (22yo) and untalented, but I have one thing for sure, I will make a game, even if it will be a shitty one. And this is the gift you guys gave me. So thank you for this series, and thank you for existing.

I thought this series was over last episode, what a wonderful surprise there's another episode. I'm glad Oliver isn't leaving and Anna's better. And Tim, I for one would love you to make another adventure game someday, Broken Age was incredible. Of course, whatever you make ends up great, so I'm happy with whatever you do next. To the whole DF team: keep being awesome!

This documentary is strong and i'm elated to see the ups and downs of game development. Act 1 was great and hopefully act 2 delivers and makes me feel what 2 Player did with this doc and the Double Fine team for being so amazing!

Definitely the greatest insight on a real game's development through the up's and down's! Big up once again to the Double Fine team and I will be checking out Broken Age with my kids at some point soon! All the best for the future ....

Thanks for the tremendous effort you put into making this game and these documentaries. I've profoundly enjoyed both and even though I understand you wish the game will stand on it's own in the future (which I think it will by the way) for me it will always be remembered as the journey. I've journeyed with you these 3 years. I've followed your struggles and I've experienced the Broken Age. I've always felt this game was special, and I always will. Sure it has flaws, every game does. Sure the first act was too easy and the second act story twists weren't as magical as the first act. It was still amazing. And what a work of art. The game is beautiful! The music and the art is amazing! I do love the game on it's own merit, but to have followed you in making it through these documentaries makes it live on in my heart forever. Thank you for fulfilling your promise (except the deadline part :-). You really did deliver what you said in your closing remarks of the campaign: "For anyone interested in the inner workings of the game industry, either professionally or as a fan, this project will be a landmark in exploring the art of development. For people that just love great games, this is an opportunity to help bring one to fruition.". Thank you all at Double Fine and 2 Player Productions!

Thank you so much for this MEGA documentary!! Love Double Fine since Psychonauts (own the PC boxed version) and I'm currently playing Brutal Legend (my first game on Steam; just kicked Lionwhyte's ass \m/ ) Loved this so these videos and games so much. Wish you all the best for 2017 and the following years!
