The Last Guardian pays homage to ICO and Shadow of the Colossus:
From the makers of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus comes one of the most anticipated games of this decade -- The Last Guardian. I will probably cry like a baby at the end of this game. Not only because it is probably going to be an emotional story but also because I can't believe I finally actually played The Last Guardian.

I'm not even gonna lie y'all, this trailer hit me right in the feels. I'm probably gonna shed some tears during this game and at the conclusion.

XGamingStormX It is the spiritual successor to Ico and Shadow Of The Colossus (which you can see in this trailer), two of the best games ever made. They announced Last Guardian almost 10 years ago, it took forever to complete. And now it actually comes out.
+RedVIII actually it's a revived project they wanted to make the last guardian back in 16 years ago I think but they didn't have the budget for it so they cancelled it
One day I want to see a full Shadow of the Colossus remake

My daughter and son were 4 years old and 2 years old respectively when I started playing ICO in 2001 and now they are 19 and 17 years old respectively this year with Last Guardian coming. Getting the feels knowing I'll get to experience this last chapter with them both as pretty much adults. EPIC....the feels.....

I think it will be great, but due to the delays something will be "off" about this game
Dictismit Just because a game has been delayed for so long, doesn't impact the story that will be told. Only thing that could be effected are the graphics and I don't make a hissy fit if a game looks bad or dated.
I was very disappointed when I played Uncharted 4 and realized the pad was only for the journal and the speaker was never used. I was really hoping to have in depth puzzles with that.

nah, if you read Ueda's comments alot of things didn't went right during its PS3 developmental cycle, the vision that he had wasn't gonna be done with the PS3, and if it was it's gonna be gimped and Sony unveiling the game too early was another reason, though you can argue that the game was leaked prior to E3, and team ico won't be gone even if this is their last game together as they will probably be absorbed back into the main Japan Studio
I still can't believe it's happening. One of the best trailers I've seen this year. Collector's edition can't get here fast enough. And I need that soundtrack.

Well, they've already been remastered for the ps3, and both titles are now on PSNow...so kinda doubt that would happen. Would be a nice surprise if they were both bundled in with TLG.

The delays and "old visuals" (which don't even look that bad) are moot when it comes to the story. Team ICO's games were never about amazing gameplay (although SoTC was really fun!), but instead about the way the game told a story and elicited an emotional response. This is the reason why people are still excited for The Last Guardian. If you have never played ICO or SoTC, you just won't understand. The hype is still real for us who have.
Rest in peace Japan studio for helping the creation of such beautiful games
At the end of the video, I was nearly applauding instinctively. Thanks Team ICO for these awesome games. I believe that The Last Guardian will be our new legacy.

Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and The last guardian are three of the most amazing games I've ever played. Truly breath taking open world's amazing story's that truly grasp you and fantastic character development that makes you feel for each character. A must play if you haven't yet. Beautiful games. Fantastic art.

A Ico and Shadow of the Colossus remake for PS4 would be fantastic! I never had the oportunity of playing Ico, so it would be great for me (and other people who also hadn't played them)

It does look like a combination of both previous games... You have to manage an NPC that follows you like in ICO, and that NPC is a huge friggin' beast that you climb on top of like in Shadow of the Colossus
