- Quite a long one but one where I think it's pretty entertaining so let me know how you get on. The season opener at Cadwell Park was chaotic to say the least. This video is a vlog, race highlights, paddock walk, all rolled into a lovely zoot you can kick back and enjoy.
Firstly, qualifying was cut short after an accident, meaning if you didn't put a fast lap in the first 2 laps of being out, then tough! Note to self, go hell to leather at Cadwell incase someone bins it. Race 1 was okay but I let myself down, Race 2 didn't even get started before it was called off.

Awesome guys thanks! I kept thinking I will do something better before making a store, but haven't managed that yet. I think some people would be happy with the simple logo design so hopefully they are good! Teespring seems nice and easy too, and gives me about 5 dollars per item profit and I don't have to deal with any logistics. Kerching!

Quality video, quality racing mate! Shame about the engine troubles but you really did seem faster than most through the higher speed corners, I don't know if it's the cars setup your experience on cadwell or just plain old bigger balls.
I reckon when you've solved the motor problems and can keep up on the straights you'll be right up there.

Hey Danny.🖐 Got busy after work, so I saved this one for after supper. I'm usually pretty patient, but I have to admit, this one was callin' me and the content did not disappoint. One man show is right. Sometimes it's hard enough to just make a living then find the time to work on your car among all the other chores that get in the way. But to set up all the cameras, get prepped, go racing, and edit all the footage so that it's interesting to watch... well done, mate.👌 You could just go out there and do your thing, so I just thought it was worth mentioning that it's much appreciated with all the extra effort you put into these videos. Holy shit, what a crazy day at Cadwell! I'm sure the majority of the competitors are like-minded, good people. Then you have those "kamikaze" pilots who don't give two shits about the carnage they cause as long as they get to the front of the line. Lil' Red has battle scars and more stories to tell, but all in all, faired well compared to a bunch of the competition. You should look into a few extra sets of those extended lugnuts... might help keep the comp off your fenders.😉 Thanks for the ride-along, front and review racecam edits, play by play anotations, and video contents in the description. Back at the Barn, I know you were toast after such a long day and even hung in there to wrap it up for us. Respect!👊 I didn't get to comment it before, so congratulations on the new Dixcel sponsorship. And finally, the last item, Mr. Engineer, was definitely worth adding to the list of pros.👏 haha. Cheers Mick! I have to say I still really enjoy making the videos. I can't remember the last time I stuck out a hobby for this long haha. Now with the patreon support and even my first "merch drop" things are moving further forward! I quite enjoyed putting that mask on the rear view cam so it faded into the cabin view. If you compare against the first time I used the rear cam at Donington I kinda just plonked it on top. Now it has that Carlton Banks fade and looks fresh if I dare say so myself. What a brilliant video. A very eventful day's racing. It's a nice addition having others help you with the recording. I also enjoyed the subtitles during the racing highlights to make sense of what was going on. I've been subscribed to the channel for a long time and if this isn't my favourite video so far, it has to be up there.
I loved the typical Dan low key 'by the way I crashed the M3' at the end of the video. No frills, or no fake Yewtoob drama to be found here. Love it. Keep up the good work man! :D

Great video, realllllly makes me want to look at doing my trailer licence so I’ve not got any excuses to not be able to do something similar. Might be worth me finding my own barn storage equivalent though first, units are fecking expensive to rent!

Yeah I guess there's a few things you need to be able to do it, but you can always do an arrive and drive. Will cost you 1k ish per race plus vat to rent a car for a round but might be more accessible for some
@@dannyDC2 not a chance I’d be spending that much per race in that format. I might not be from Yorkshire but when it comes to money I might as well be 😆 I’ll be finishing putting back together my 330ci e46 first and then might look at something like a clip sport or copper S to do some track days in before jumping right in with a heavy rwd car with enough power to get me into trouble.
If anything this video confirmed to me that I need a garage/shed big enough for a car to go in along with a trailer in case the worse happens and I needed to reshell or similar.

Always worrying when others crash around you. Just takes one silly mistake, instant carnage!
Can I suggest a temperature gun as a wise investment.
First it'll tell how much heat is going into your back tyres and if it's even across and you changeyoursetup to suit.
Second, check the temperature of your exhaust manifold, this will give you an idea of one of your cylinders is cooler than the rest, giving you an idea that the engine is or isn't running correctly. Making it easier to fault find.
Looking forward to more content, the racing and Yorkshire sense of humour is lifting you above other vloggers.
I've got a temperature gun, infrared style. Used to live in my toolbox and come to the racing to check tyres/camber after a session. Definitely comes along to track days! Not sure how useful it would be on the cylinders, would have thought the chinesium manifold would warm up quite evenly..

The Temp gun pointed towards each exit manifold exit should tell if each cylinder is balanced, if one is cooler then you'll know that there's an issue with that cylinder.

It could be yeah. I don't have oil temp gauge so no way of knowing, but didn't get any oil warning lights. I had 5w40 before but wanted to try the 30w

great vid Dan, shame the second race didnt really happen, is it against the rules to run a 6 speed box? I have the head and 6 speed box from a facelift roadster that im trying to flog ifin ur interested. (kswap so dont need the yota bits anymore.)
It's not out of the rules but I don't think 6spd would be any good for racing really
