Sadly this car is so fast the usual Nordschleife Tourist does not even see it coming and forces you to hard break almost all of the time. Thanks for sharing both laps and for also posting Lukas footage. This really seems to capture all of the GT3 vibes except your sitting in a plush interior with a meridian stereo.This sounds like the kind of car that would have me hold on for dear life after the first rev 🤣

You think you're fast until an AMG GT Black Series or GT2 MR comes up on you. Accelerating into corners where people were already braking because you can brake so late and corner so much faster, what a machine.
Some seemed slow to move over - Maybe the drivers didn't expect the GT to close so fast -
Man, the way they both (especially Misha, first time in the car) could attack the apex was mind blowing. Watching, it felt like as soon as the car was settled and you could see the apex, you could just accelerate right through it 🤯

Seeing Sabine sling her Frickadelli Racing RSR straight race car…. She was a FORCE . I saw an in car of a modified GT2 RS and a AMG GT modified race car was leading for a lot of the lap… real powerful… but those Porsche’s are just too good

I use a racing wheel on the ps5 to practice racing more infamous tracks like nurburg or Laguna Seca.
nothing beats real world experience buy its a great tool to get familiar.
And take corners at 130 .... htf ?
Those are very large corners though. The tight corners were down to 60 KPH or so.

Impressive how any other cars on the track look slow whilst they're pushing hard... And funny how the engine sounds like a wah pedal when hitting around 7k rpm :)

That's not the engine. That's the speakers and honestly it's not even just a bad sound it's even an earrape. I couldn't hear what they were saying.
@@EliullGameplays It's sort of a sound generator. They take sound from the exhaust and amplify it electronically in the cabin, same system they use in other AMG cars. I think the camera filming this is not doing a good job picking it up, it does sound better in person.
It would be a bit too quiet otherwise, unfortunately.
Seen a lot of Nur lap videos on TH-cam ranging from casual drivers to pros, but no one makes it look as effortless and smooth as this guy. Something special abt the way this guy drives and you can tell even at this pace, he’s only pushing max 70% of his abilities and the car’s.
That sound after 6500 rpm is magical 😌

I both agree and disagree. In the hands of a driver that is anything less than very respectful of the safety of other drivers, yes it would be dangerous. But that’s not why anybody gets on track here. Everybody that drives the ring is aware of the risks involved, everybody there signed up for this kind of event. This location is known across the planet for fast cars and fast drivers pushing their machines in a location where everybody involved signed up for that, don’t neuter it.
I would love to see a rear camera view so you can see how quickly the other cars disappear out of view.What an amazing car and drivers!!

That car makes every other car on the track look extremely slow. I’ve been lucky enough to film two of them so far. They are breathtaking in person!!!
Hell, that car makes 200km/h feel slow, I watched the video like any other usual lap but every time I check the speedometer, he's going twice as fast as usual.
I work at a Mercedes Dealership and saw way over 100 of them.
When I saw the first few i made photos of them and thaught that i was luky to see them.
And still after seeing tons of them i am still exited every time i take a look at one of them.

Wow....That car is so capable, and with capable hands: Seeing is believing. Great lap even with so many cars in the track.
So much respect to those cars being overtaken. Holding their line where it's appropriate, indicating when they're ready to be passed.
It's such an undervalued skill, seeing these drivers being aware of the fast approaching car, but if it's at the wrong time, they'll just hold their line (as they should) and then when the opportunity presents itself, they'll make sure the pass is clean.

I watched many laps with you Misha, and I'm a GT3 track guy, but I think of all the cars I've seen you drive, I would take that one - so much power and poise.
Just being able to daily this race car is so much more enjoyable than a gt3
I understand that Misha was playing it safe as it’s his first time driving it, but really love how Lukas went for super high revs before upshifting. Man’s got my driving personality haha

Everyone having a great cruise round the track and all of a sudden a mammoth shadow appears and roars past...that must have been insanely intimidating but also amazing to hear boost past!! :D
Absolute unit of a car! It’s insane to me how fast F1 cars really are when this is the pace car and F1 drivers keep telling them to speed up because their brakes and tires are cooling down. Both laps were blistering and it just gets through traffic like they aren’t even there..
F1 cars are pretty much twice/2.5x as fast as the fastest road car atm if you compare laptimes
@@HelixBeats98 they aren't twice as fast only around 1.3x to 1.5x depending on the track, take SPA for example the fastest F1 lap time is 1:41 (101 seconds) and the fastest road car is 2:23 (143 seconds) so the F1 is 1.4x fastest no way near twice or 2.5X for 2.5X the F1 would need a lap time of 57 seconds almost half the current record

@horvathmartin1623 The person I responding to specifically said the fastest road car, which for my example is a Paganini Huayra Roadster BC. Of course, a normal road car will be no way near as fast.

That intro and walkaround was incredible! I feel this car has the mix of the best qualities of the GT2RS, 720S and Viper ACR mixed into one monster. At first I didnt love it but now it just looks so evil. I want one so badly.
why would you even mention ACR? if i remember best it did is 20th time on track.. you have Subaru with better time.. :S and 720s is even worse. Christian did 7:08 with it ranking 26th just above GTR.. :S never compare this type of Merc to these my guy.. no hate, and have in mind that im not merc-guy but i have huge respect for this brand..

Really hard to describe the sound. It's a flat-plane engine, but it doesn't sound like a Ferrari (nor the new Z06). Neither does it sound like a typical American V8. But even more unique is that it literally sounds like someone's pressing on a wah pedal instead of a throttle pedal after 6K... I don't think I've ever heard anything like it. ...And apparently it's fake sound pumped through the speakers... Wunderbar...
@@sntslilhlpr6601 I think you're right what we're hearing is exhaust through speakers. Once on track it sounded very....odd. As if in a video game. May just be audio pick up from the mic but given how it's normally very good I have my doubts.

@@550LMS what we hear in the video is one hundred percent fake despite the pops and grumbles you get to hear once in a while. the fake sound in this car is either really loud and aggressive like in the AMG GTR Pro (Shmee commented on this) or the camera/microphone position is just very close to one of the speakers

That car is staggeringly quick... it's quite apparent why they limited it to "only" 880hp. That traffic was ridiculous but especially bad for Lukas' lap... I thought that black Miata was going to hit you as you overtook it.

Very nice demonstration. Luka is so relaxed! Was good to see extra data like tire temp and pressure. Pressures looked a little high for Cup 2R.
Yep. Also I usually had the best grip at around 80-90 celsius, but I think the pressure was the reason for poor grip at that temp.
