- Welcome all to Part 2 of our EnduroKA racing series at Cadwell Park and as you may have guessed... it's RACE DAY!!!
It's the car's first ever race, Blake's first time driving a FWD car in anger and also his first time at Cadwell Park circuit. What could possibly go wrong?! (Spoiler alert, it wasn't Blake's driving!)
You can expect to see many (many) sends, front bumpers going for walkies, unplanned pit stops, wing mirror folding, bumper bumping and LOTS OF FUN!

20 years ago, just the month I got my license, my aunt had asked me to drive her to the airport and look after her Ka for some 10 days. It was a riot; the amount of abuse I gave to that car in those 10 days was probably more than what it had had during it's entire R&D. I've had several, much more serious cars along the years but the Ka experience stayed in my head, reminding me how much fun a light car could be! Great to see they're still being ragged, and amazing driving as always! :)

Yesssss epic! Love it how you manage to make half an hour going around a circuit in a Ka exciting to watch. Couldnt keep myself from laughing from excitement a few times watching the video. More more more!!

This type of racing is so much fun ! I think it's a great formula for beginners to understand racing, with low powered cars at a reasonable price . Here the driving is what makes the difference (although some cars were definitely faster in the straights).

Would loved to have seen each drivers fastest lap time & against the fields fastest lap time! Surely with a team like that you managed to get some fire laps!
I just think they didn't want to belittle the racing driver by showing that Matt was quicker 🥴 🤣
Quick googling showed the official results and 22nd (my counting so rough estimate) fastest lap time of them all... (3,5 sec slower than the fastest lap time)

@@CamberandCombustion there sure were fast cars and drivers but these kind of races aren’t so serious and you are just out there to have good time and it seemed to me that you had a blast. Wishing I had a change to attend this kind of racing.

i think losing the bumper negatively impacted the aerodynamics and that's why alex was losing on the straights

The engine must be a standard 1300cc, 2002 - 2008 Duratec Engine, Engine Code BAA
(60PS) and A9A, A9B (70PS). No engine modifications are allowed whatsoever. The fitting of
standard pattern parts is not allowed unless expressly allowed in the following regulations.
The organisers reserve the right to power test vehicles during a meeting, without prior
notice. Persons in control of any power testing equipment, or any electronic systems
analysis, may be appointed “judges of fact” under Motorsport UK regulations.
When i saw Enduro Ka, in my mind come the Endura engine. Im frim Brazil and i have a Ka 97 with the Endura-E. Its very slow, but this engine don't like to drink too much gas. I'm studying to put a turbo, lets see how works.

how/where do you mount the camera so high and so you can see the mirror? Part of the rollcage? It's awesome, kinda gives an all time 360 view

Thanks Rory! Pretty basic mods as per the regs - coilovers, pads, cage, tyres and not much else...
@@CamberandCombustion what tyres did you run and did you have to change in the race? just done my first trackday ever, at Cadwell in a yaris t sport and road tyres aren`t great
@@benbrown01209 series standard R888Rs which ideally need more camber to work properly. Any entry level semi slicks will be a step up from your road tyres such as NS2R or similar

How much is it out of interest per year?
They vary per event. Some are 5 hours, some are 12, some are just sprints and are all priced accordingly on their website 👍

Racing incident the driver infront could have been more aware of their surroundings. Your drive could have perdicted the gap was going to close. My point both drivers could have done something diffrent. However in such close knit racing things like this are going to happen and i get the benifit of hindsight and rewind to make my decision.

first of all a turn sign is not turned like that and the that collision is not our fault.
6:50 that's the other driver's fault in my book. Could've held a wider line and Alex was alongside for a good while beforehand
That driver was a bit of a twat by the look of it. Running people off everywhere
The driving is a bit too aggressive, divebombing is always going to get you into accidents and quickly earn you a very bad reputation.
Racing is racing people like you are the reason the sport is dying where's the fun in driving like a wet flannel?
