All great tips Ross, we are lucky to be able to park our tractors in a garage 👍🏻. You got some fun tractor therapy and the our BX2822 snowblowers are amazing 👍🏻. Have a great week 🙋🏼♂
Thank you Luc! Yes the BX2822 is amazing. Have a great day.
How's she goin'? Thanks Ross. You gave us some good tips here for cold weather tractor time!! LOL You have a nice property Ross. You have done a lot to it and it's really coming along. Nice. Thanks for posting and take care!
Thank you Mike. Been slowly improving it over the years we have been here. Glad the tips are helpful. Cheers
Great tips, Ross. It’s mesmerizing to watch that snow blower in action. Great shots and editing!
Thank you Ed! I really enjoy clearing the trails. The blow shoots so far, and looks good doing it.
That looked like an EXCEPTIONAL day, Ross!!! Enjoy the snow. (Still no joy here...😢)
It really was! The BX handles it effortlessly! Awesome weather and good work.
Good morning Ross and Aidan😁 👍Some good tips. The BX did a fine job. Have a great week, Ben ❄️🚜
Hi Ben!! Thank you! Extremely happy with how well Aidan worked. Oh, and the BX as well 😀
@@RossOnTheLand 😁👍
Good Morning and good advice Ross, I call it both, plowing with a plow, snow blowing with the 'blower, to me, it clarifies what exactly what I am / or was doing when telling somebody. :)
Excellent! Thanks Reg. Have a great day.
👍✊Hope your weekend is good Ross. Hopefully more snow here again Tuesday
Hi Bob, ya wanted to get this stuff cleared out, and ready for or this week's snowfall we are expecting as well. Have a great day and week ahead.
Great tip/reminder about hydraulic fluid during warm up! I have a block heater, 3 hours before using the Kubota, turn it on. Start up is so easy and while letting it run, do some shoveling in hard to reach places. Will add running the implement about 1/2 way through warm up to move the hydraulic fluid. As I have a rear mount snowblower & snowpusher on the front - I call it "snow removal" - blowing, plowing & shoveling! Great video - thanks for the POV of what snow looks like coming out of the snow shoot and into your face - ha ha!!!
That sounds like a good setup on yours. I do the same with shoveling while I wait. I didn't expect the snow to fly that far... But it affected the mic 😢 thanks for watching, have a good week.
Good morning Ross☕️☕️
Starting the video off with a bang!😀
Haha. Yup. Thanks Gary
Hey Ross, great tips. I call it snowblowing. That way it distinguishes a blower vs a snow plow. Have a great week.
Thanks Dave. I want to call it that as well, but catch myself being lazy I guess and just say plowing.. haha. Maybe I should just call it snow clearing... :) have a good week.
@@RossOnTheLand we all know what you mean 😂
Haha!
Good morning Ross! All really good tips for cold weather tractor work.
Now that is a good workout for the BX! Well done and thanks for the tour. Cheers, Mike.
More than welcome, It was a fun day.
that stuff is sold at my kubota dealer wich pretty cheap for $15.00 a jug
Excellent. I've been using it for years. Thanks for the comment. Have a good day.
yeah my kubota dealer allways reconmmend that @@RossOnTheLand
Good tips Ross. Today I snow blowed the trails around the side hill and cleared out an area for a tree to be dropped. It is too close to the tractor shed. I use the diesel conditioner also even though the diesel has the additive in it for the winter. I like how the video shows the snow coming out of the Shute. It is like a spiral. I do not plug the block heater in as the tractor is in the shed out of the wind. Take care and stay safe. PS: that is one crazy snow shoveller you have there. He must do the trails really fast. Reminds me of when I was a lot younger. 😅
Thanks very much for the comment and good luck with the tree. Ya Aidan does move snow well 😂😆
Morning Ross. Some great tips there. I also add conditioner to the fuel. And for me the block heater is a must being outside. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Thank you Gord. Totally agree. Have an excellent day!
I don't think I'll get to make a video like this at all this winter buddy ... its all melting right now ... which I am totally fine with! Nice job!
It rained all night long, and now in the past. Very messy and spring better come in like a lion!
@@RossOnTheLand amen!!!
Nice video Ross. Like your set up, at really eats the snow. Great reminders for everybody on the cold weather. Thanks for the content. -Tod
Hi Tod, thank you. I'm very happy with the BX! Have a great day
Thank you for your video. Nice property and the BX is the prefect tractor for you. Had to be bloody cold snow blowing/plowing.
Hello, yes it was very cold, so cold in fact that it affected the microphone. Yes I really like the BX! Have a great day.
Snow blower really has the push out of the tube I give you an 11 for covering the camera so viewer gets covered in snow also :)
I was surprised how far it tossed the snow. Thanks B. Have a good week.
I didn't do anything on my land today or yesterday. Too stinking cold! Well, I took my grandsons out to check the game cams and played in the snow a little, then brought firewood in from the shed. For snowblowing, I call it 'snowblowing' or 'clearing'. Occasionally I will say 'plowing'.
Keep warm. To me, your "On The Land" items can be considered enough :) good job playing with family.
It's finally starting to warm up here in south Sask and I still don't have enough snow to take the Blower Van for a rip. My neighbor came through with his plow truck at 3 in the morning as he thought it looked a little bit thick on my road approach and now my road is 6o feet wide all the way to the house...lol. What great neighbors I have. but we still have more winter to go so there is still hope to get out at least once this year. Great video as always and great tips for cold weather on the equipment. Cheers.
Ya we are getting close to the end.. 40 more days and we will be through the worst of it. Nice to have nice people around eh? Thanks.
It’s cold here in PA
Stay warm! It'll be over sooner than when it began. Cheers
Good Morning Ross 👍👍😇You are so funny both of you 🤣👍👍 🚧🚧 Truly OUTSTANDING informative Tips about the hydrolic Implements during winter time amd field demo 👍🧐🥶❄🚧🚧 Plowing is with a Snowplow and Snowblowing is with a Snowblower 🧐😇👍Very Nice Field Snowblowing Live Action and very nice running water 👍👍😇Keep Warm Ross Cheers 😇👍👍🍻🍻
Thank you David. Lots of good tips and it was fun! Have a good day
Hi Ross, I like your rear box blade, I have a regular scraper like Luc has, but now I wonder if I should have gone with the box blade... it seems much more efficient for driveways. For a really long driveway, the regular back blade would be the way to go, but I do like how that box blade keeps all the snow inside that area. Nice to see your water working nicely after that big project !
Hey! I keep looking for the one you have, as I think it's way better for snow! Haha. We should trade! Yes so happy with the water.
Mine gelled as soon as i got it in the wind -40 was able to push it back to the shop even the tank was jelled. Just switched to power service anti gel and seems to be working ..... HAPPY WINTER ROSS
Oh no! That's not good. Minus 40 is disgustingly cold, glad you got it working! Happy Winter
You've got 2x the snow we have! Worried about underground plumbing freezing! but above 0 for the next week!
Ya we definitely have more. And going into the +'s by the end of the week but a few more days of light snow.
Hello Ross. You’ve got more snow than I do. Tractor was using most of the horses that day. Just wondering if you wanted to trade stickers. Let me know.
Have a great Sunday. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
The BX was pushing hard! Yes I'd really like to share stickers! I tired asking in your last video, but I think the message was blocked.
@@RossOnTheLand If you could send me your mailing address I can send to you. 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻
No snow here yet but some great tips, thanks. Despite being cold, it looked like lots of fun blowing the snow. The Kubota does a great job even when it is really deep
Do you sun at least? Ya the blower is amazing and does really well. So happy
Nice video Ross, I don’t understand why you didn’t you the box blade when you exited the garage to clean up that area, I think it would be more effective if you had pushed with the box blade and then use the snow thrower to eradicate the snow. Is the front blower running from the front pto, seems the snow thrower auger is not moving fast enough for some reason?
Hello, you are right, I should use the box blade at the garage. Thank you.
The front blower uses the mid mount pto, and the augers may be moving a bit slow but the impeller that throws the snow is a monster! So the PTO speed is fine, the gearing in the auger is not adjustable and is a fixed ratio. Much appreciated, and thanks for the tip.
I plow you blow..😅 though I do have a blower....walk behind, 2 ft, hate todo my drive and road with a walk behind blower.😮
Haha! No kidding I wouldn't want to do your driveway with a walk behind either! Maybe use it to clear off your first floor though before they finish the walls :)
@@RossOnTheLand That I am doing today, plowed yesterday
Ross, I noticed that you wear your jeans down inside your boots, do you think you could benefit from wearing the pants OUTSIDE as any falling snow will not go inside your boots and
keep your tootsies dry? Hahahaha.
Well, I have been wearing my rain boots, lately. The snow isn't high enough to crest the tops, but also because I seem to have thicker legs now then last winter... For some strange reason, my jeans are pressed tight. I assume the rubber boots have shrunk eh? 😁 And yes my toes were really cold. I should have put on my winter boots.
@@RossOnTheLand Ahh, clothes sizing can't be trusted these days Ross.
Hope your week runs smoothly for you. Cheers!
Exactly. And shrinkflation happens with close as well. Haha. Have a great week.
😎👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you
Did Aiden buy the Jeep?
Yes he did :)
