You had your loader boom all the way up in the air just before you tipped it over. Keep your loader down low as much as possible. You were lucky.. With as much clearing as you want to do with your subcompact you need a grapple. with a grapple a lot of times if it's tippy you can quickly drop your loader with the tree grappled and save yourself unlike with your forks cause you can't clamp your trees. I have had a grapple for about 20 years so I've been there, and haven't turned my 45 hp tractor over yet. Been close.
Every time I see a small tractor on its side the loader is raised up high. I never move my tractor unless my bucket is as colse to the ground as I can get it.
Ol' guy here. Been turning wrenches for bout 45 years now.Pop the injectors out then crank with the starter.A lot of fluid will blow out:probably 100% oil. If you don't remove the injectors and there is ANY oil on the piston tops you will trash the engine when you turn it over either with the starter or a wrench on the flywheel with the 4' cheater that will eventually be used. And why the heck was the loader raised so high where you had the tractor? Rough uneven ground, narrow wheelbase tractor: keep loader LOW or: well you now know why.
I’m going to pull injectors and crank by hand. Tractor was only tipped for an hour so it shouldn’t be too bad. I was pushing the limits of the tractor.
Real old guy here and been farming my whole life. I’ve been to several funerals over my life because people were pushing the limits of tractors. Years ago tractor were only found on the farm and accidents were enough then but now day everybody it seems has one and accidents are way more often. Center of gravity on a tractor especially a little one like that with loader up and the weight of those pallet forks and uneven ground your lucky is all I have to say. Have a neighbor does the same thing, bush hogs real uneven ground with heavy pallet forks and first thing he does is raise the loader as high as it goes. It’s just a matter of time and his will be on its side too. Lucky thing for him is he has a family cemetery he started on his property if he needs it.
@@oldfarmer4700Agreed, based on what I saw he had the wrong tool for the job. I would've rented the excavator for the tree work the cleanup the brush on the ground with the tractor. A grapple sure is nice for brush work.
Ballast the rear tires! And it's a pain but every time you start to turn lower the bucket or the forks. I like at the end of the video you said ... That went pretty good 😂 🤷♂️
Mate , hard work can only be done with a hard , heavy machine , this company are expert at getting very many versatile solutions out of their products , but the base unit needs to be heavy to continue standing upright . There was always a safety sticker inside Bobcat ROPS cages , which reads "WARNING -AMONESTACION - CARRY LOAD LOW , it really means it ! we work bobcats by in effect strapping them to your back , I,ve picked up a big bale in a little bobcat muck grab & positioned it , to the disbelief of my mate , because I was skating along on just the front wheels & couldn,t feel it . Work safe mate or work dead .
Nice video. I agree with the others about the forks being high, but sh-- happens and you learn from the experience. I have almost tipped my compact tractor on multiple occasions. Keep up the positive attitude and keep putting out content. Thanks for the Video. Subbed, Liked and watched complete. -Tod
It was tipped for about an hour, so I’m gonna let it settle for 2 days. When I go to start it, I’ll pull a glow plug or something to relieve any pressure if there is some oil on top of pistons.
That's something you try to avoid but accidents do happen. Glad you had the Roll Bar to help keep you safe. I hope I never do that with my J.D. 750 with loader. Glad you didn't try to start it and sounds like it will be fine.
Don't use the starter to turn it over. Use a socket on the crank to feel the resistance. I'm sure there are other YT videos on recovering from a tip over.
My Kioti CX2510 doesn't fit in my garage unless I put the ROPS down and I often forget to put it back up when i drive it out of my garage and this makes me want to make sure I always put the bar up when I'm using the tractor. Glad all is well.
Did that myself. Motor would not shut down, revs increased, broke drives haft. Couldn't get out of seat belt. Lots of boots and other parts broke . 6k dollars repair bill.
To increase your stability fit dual wheels. You will be shocked at how much more secure your tractor feels. Look at Click duals or an other form of quicktatch connection. I have driven little tractors(30hp), and compared to the ag tractors they are horribly tipppy.
Leave the logging to people that know what they are doing. U get off flat ground with that little kubota you'll get hurt. U want to play logger you will get hurt.
I let it sit for three days and I figured I’d give it a quick crank and it started right up. It actually didn’t smoke or anything. It was only on its side for approximately an hour.
I bealive the Bush hog is not for this model..looks bigger...so if it find a root that didn't trimmed make the tracton wheeling and with the fork that High combined with the field angle...there you go flipin!! Be careful respect the machines
It doesn't take much of a hole or log combined with an already sloped path, but I haven't done it....yet. It looks like your forks being high up didn't help :)
Great safety training video with about SIX major mistakes. Apparently neither operator has much equipment experience. Also very little mechanical knowledge, as the injectors or glow plugs should be pulled, engine cranked, then reinstall parts and fire it up.
Starting and stopping your engine will kill it. No , I am not going to watch the whole thing. carry your bucket always below the hood line. Years ago someone rolled a Ford 1700 carrying sawdust. Bucket was up to high. Judging what I see you don't need to brushhog. A small trailer will work for moving the boat. cheers
Sale the tractor while your still alive and walk away before you get killed by a tree or flipping the tractor again and not be so lucky the second time
For this job I would've used a 30k lb cab excavator with thumb I wouldn't even attempt this with my tractor at all. The tops of the trees can break off coming down onto your head..that's why they call them "widow makers".
Thanks for the video. How has the BX23 held up so far aside from the tip-over? Any serious issues? I'm looking at getting one for my 2.5 acre property soon. Learning from mistakes won't stop any time soon for any of us. Sometimes we just have to find out the hard way. Glad you came out of it fine and the tractor is in one piece. Keep working hard at a steady pace. Good luck.

Sometimes it’s unexpected this one looks like it could’ve been avoided but there’s cases where the machine is tipped and it’s unavoidable
Have felt mine tipy on the slightest hill incline. Glad your ok.
Good Recovery thank god nobody was hurt. It happens so fast eh...Thanks for sharing, Cheers Mike
Thanks 👍
I rolled my Kubota B a couple of months ago. It wasn't a slow roll it happened very quickly. I ended up with a torn rotor cuff.
Impressed with your positive attitude and your work ethic.

Thanks for showing all of us that this happens the blink of an eye , glad your ok.
Specially when you're not experienced... Beginners luck. Bad luck that is

As we all do, I did push the tractor to its limits, always. As seen in my other videos
Might as well grease those hard to get at grease fitting while there handy😅
At least nobody got hurt and you are smart enough to know not to try and start it right away . Hope it works out ok .

I always recommend keeping the rollbar up. I even have it up on my zero turn all the time
Hope you have good insurance, you are going to need it!

Same here. Put a note on your dash !
50 years with tractors haven't rolled one yet.. had them on 2 and 3 wheels many times.. just need to know when to compensate with the loader
Did that myself. Motor would not shut down, revs increased, broke drives haft. Couldn't get out of seat belt. Lots of boots and other parts broke . 6k dollars repair bill.
Should have used the roll bar to right it, keep the loader down centre of gravity is kept down
This is why you never have the loader all the way up on uneven ground.. even though it's still surprises me doesn't look that hilly
I’d say based on where those folks where you leaned a valuable lesson. Glad you weren’t another tractor statistic.
What possesed you to pick that MIND NUMBING Diatribe Tune ??
Take the glow plugs out of it and ture the motor over get the oil out of pistons put glow plugs back in and start her up done that once.
To increase your stability fit dual wheels. You will be shocked at how much more secure your tractor feels. Look at Click duals or an other form of quicktatch connection. I have driven little tractors(30hp), and compared to the ag tractors they are horribly tipppy.
Dual wheels?? That's a newbie move.. learn how to run the tractor.. Dooley's 😂
We use wheel spacers and tire ballast. Have a kubota b3030. They are very tippy from the factory. Ours has a cab and makes it even worse.
I live near an old stagecoach road. Maybe we’re neighbors 😁
Possibly!
There's a lot of people who buy equipment that have no😮 idea how to run it and that's why this happened .
It's easy to see how you dumped it. Look how high the bucket is!!
Lack of experience... You learn after you roll them once or twice maybe😂
Gotta keep them loaders low.
Leave the logging to people that know what they are doing. U get off flat ground with that little kubota you'll get hurt. U want to play logger you will get hurt.
fiabilité sur les bx de chez kubota , a 2500 h boitier de direction a changer sur bx 2200 et bx2350
How did start after all that?
I let it sit for three days and I figured I’d give it a quick crank and it started right up. It actually didn’t smoke or anything. It was only on its side for approximately an hour.

What!? Boat in the woods!? Is it only me wondering how that got there?
Not sure, but I’m going to have a video soon on pulling it out of there!
Gin pole and a winch will get that upright
It doesn't take much of a hole or log combined with an already sloped path, but I haven't done it....yet. It looks like your forks being high up didn't help :)
💪 STRONG 👍

That tree felling was very dangerous looking
It looked like it could have went anywhere
Especially dead trees, they can break off when you start cutting and go anywhere.
Get some wheel spacers!
Check out my other videos! I actually did install them. Definitely help a lot, but not in this case.
Why? Probably wouldn't have made a difference with the operator error. Too much stress spacers.. but all the amateurs want them I guess

Less haste more speed.
Man was stealing road signs
I’d say he was!
Training wheels might help
There was definitely a better way to put it upright, you had excavator, lift it from far side, duh😮
Push on back and bend shit up
Starting and stopping your engine will kill it.

Loader to high while moving......Big no no
I have a BX25. Very disappointing machine. Nearly tipped many times. Under powered and overheats.
For it size it works pretty good

They are not PINE Trees they ARE BALSAM FIR. If you can't get it right refer to them as evergreens........ To small a tractor for the job.....
I found out they are basically Christmas trees planted years ago and got too big. I didn’t know till after I recovered tractor.
When your dumb you’ve gotta be tough
You can't fix stupid..
If you have to push the tractor to its limits on a regular basis, you need a bigger tractor.

Kubota sells this stuff knowing who is buying it and how they are using it. High dollar Tonka.
