I found your channel for another video about a different topic. I subscribed then and glad I did. I am much older than your target viewers and only a few years getting an unofficial autistic diagnosis which has been helpful understanding why I couldn't find a relationship for a family. In any event watching you talk about parenting has me agreeing I would have these traits and problems . Good luck on your journey . It has been helpful for me understanding so much of what I couldn't understand about my characteristics.
Thanks so much for your comment and for the sub. Actually, I'm working on a video (quite personal) about how people on the spectrum often opt out of having kids. I did so until about age 33. I'm 40 now. If you have any insight to share on this topic, I'd love to know and possibly include some of it in my video. Thanks in advance! 🤗
Thank you for sharing your melt down story. It’s nice to hear that other moms lose their shit sometimes too. I had one over the weekend but I didn’t see it as an autistic meltdown, I just saw it as my own anger problem and inability to self-regulate and I feel so guilty that my kids have to see that. I have to say that since I’ve been diagnosed and treated for ADHD, that medication has helped immensely with overstimulation and helps me to not escalate so quickly or as often, but I still have my moments sometimes.
