Great series of interviews. Who has more credibility than Eddie Conway? The Real News needs more guests like Eddie. Peace.

Paul: You want our comments here, forgive me for not doing so before this. This Interview is really good. Mr. Conway gives a clear and truthful picture of the times back in the 70s. It's so important for young Americans today to know their true history. And I thank the Real News Network for putting Maryland back on the map. I practically forgot about it until this show and "The Wire" came out. Very gritty stuff and your programming is great.

thats the thing with real news: you get great quality content, but it's poorly produced and horribly organized and distributed. they could take some basic hints from Vice, who always has links to the other parts of series, and who groups the multi-parts together much more intuitively

Wonders aloud, “Is this the Fred in the song? The one with the cheap sunglasses?”
That said, this is serious stuff. Proscribed people get to live with this kind of stuff. I could not see it when I was younger - either this kind, or that reserved for (disfigured and disabled) people like me.

How come the RNN makes it so hard to find all these multi part episodes in order ?

Do a TH-cam search of: Eddie Conway on Reality Asserts Itself. Or if you go right the uploader channel, it's in the playlists called Reality Asserts Itself - Eddie Conway. (Yes, I know I'm late to the party)

While the government's wings of "homeland security" will seemingly do anything to circumvent and deteriorate groups it deems hostile, I really would've liked to be a fly on the wall in those FBI meetings about the various Black civil rights groups then; Eddie said he thought the FBI was involved because it was a socialist group, not so much because of its Blackness. Maybe I'm screwing his words up, but this dynamic is fascinating. It definitely broadens history for those who've previously seen the Black Panther's as "just a Black thing" and unrelatable. Especially for Libertarians and COnservative Whites who'd probably have choice words about the Black Panzers belying a stereotypical xenophobia normally. Now, as desperate as these Tea Baggish types are for validity, they'll probably be reminding every Black person zealously (although "duh" milktoast in reality) who defends Obama or government what "the GUBMENT" did to their "OWN PEOPLE" lol
