dont run heavy carrier if your not a demo guy or mini gunner, its not worth it trust me, you probably wont live long enough to use 7 mags anyway, 2 less mags for 2 points is a great deal, those points are better off spent elsewhere, combined with no armor, you get way more points to play with and kit yourself out, trust me
I would use the M16s so much more if NWI programmed the burst fire like in real life, where it functions as a limiter and doesn't force users to fire 3 rounds for every trigger pull. I hate having to constantly swap firemodes when switching between far and close targets.
If it worked like in real life it would be extremely annoing, as it just counts how many shots have been fired via a ratchet and it still counts in semi, leading to inconsistent burst count, for example if you fired 1 round in semi and switch to burst it would just fire 2 rounds, and if in burst you fire 2 rounds the next burst would just fire 1 round
Yes the M16 A2 was a solid weapon over all, was our replacement after they switched us from the A1, the 3 round burst saved alot on ammo and the jump from 20 rd mags to 30 increased our kill ratio alot just one of the few upgrades in my time that worked well. 1/9 The WalkingDead Infantry (USMC) does wonders in the game too!!! yes im 57 yrs old and playing Insurgency this game rocks !!!!
I love the dynamic you guys have on the team, MGE requesting a Heli for support from the commander, running headfirst into the building with the truck and generally causing confusion and disorder for the insurgents for security to capture the point, it's really beautiful.
I always liked the m16 in previous insurgency games too it dont matter that its cheap it gets the job done. And thats good about the whole game that you could use almost any gun and still win or get kills.
I love running it as a commander or observer when attacking. If you combine the 6 smokes you can run with it and then a smoke artillery you get a long window of time for your team to push the obj.
The M16A2 was my rifle in the army so naturally I used it when I first started playing the console release and got 75 kills, definitely my favorite gun still to use after trying others by now
That three round burst is amazing. Not too much recoil and it can kill in one go. Not to mention the amount of ammo you save not spraying and praying. I also love the look of the 3x sight on the insurgent version.
M16 was soo good back in Insurgency 2014, good go see it back where it belongs: King of the cheap quality pile. Old loadout was M16, foregrip, X2 scope, heavy barrel, AP rounds, modify to contentment on almost every role New loadout: M16, recoil grip, recoil break, ×2, further equipment to user satisfaction. Love this platform in both games.

Dude please do a settings and sensitivity setup video, ive got 900 hours in sandstorm and I feel like my setting and sense are still wrong. I need the pro setup
I like to run this gun with the 4-1x scopes, smoke launcher and extended mags on either team as observer. My idea with this observer loadout is to be light, so no backpack or armor, and able to chase the commanders faster, and yeah, this weapon is pretty reliable and sometimes I like it more than the other rifleman guns. I didn't ever use the burst though, I feel like it was pointless in Insurgency Source with AP ammo, but I guess I'll try it in Sandstorm.

As a newb my biggest problem is recognizing my own teammates from enemy. That second hesitation gets me killed a lot 🤷🏻♂️ I’m learning how to use the mini map
Don't know about the mini map. When I use map, it just blocks the whole screen. Still not that hard to identify frendlies and not frendlies. Insurgents are wearing a hodge podge of civilian cloathes with usual of civilian colors, like white, blue, red and usualy a turban. Security is the most easiet to identify. Green or sand color, with the exeption PMC, Police SWAT look alike bundle.
@@supernate760 took me a while but I’m over level 200 so not so much a problem anymore 🙂 Helps that I mostly play as a sniper too so I have time to recognize enemy

Give this gun the A2 Scope or this scope and an Aiming Grip with a flash hider. They will never see you until half your mag is in them. Bonus points if you shell out stocks for suppressor.
"cheap and reliable gun" PUTS VERTICAL GRIP AND COMPENSATOR FOR 6 POINTS :^/ I am not just hating here, but with this setup spent, each and every AR in this game going to demolish people. M16s can be good to carry a lot of support for your team (additional smokes and smoke launcher, also big backpack), but in CQC they are nowhere near in effectiveness as AKM (3 points, can be good stock without any attachments) and g36c (same as AKM for 3 points). If you are playing mostly against new players - yes, m16 usually rock. But against somewhat experienced players with auto rifles - its mostly sucks. Also FAMAS burst fire is much more reliable for me. But not gonna lie, m16s are good as a DMR (but if you play with 4x scope and bipod with flashhider on regular rifleman class, and not pushing obj - you're bad and DELET ZIS GEYM). It is all from my own experience in the game (270 hours in, still enjoying it), it is completely subjective, but i do believe, that recommending m16s to a new player - is a sin. M16 are not bad guns, but they are having much higher entry threshold (as I think).
I prefer M16A4 with flip-up sights and recoil grip. Shame A2 doesn't get any 1x sights, those stock suck, and 4x/1x is way too expensive. But the gun is so cheap I can put Masterkey on it for some cheeky kills and memes, and still have more than enough points for equipment.

This must be in response to China blowing it out of proportion. 8:27 Oh, and I could never run so far away from D when defending. If the last defender on point dies, you'll have no way of knowing until you check the map.

M16A4 was my gateway weapon into el cheapo loadouts, not being restricted by a expensive primary or the 3 point backpack is such a breath of fresh air

I love that this game doesn’t kill you for going outside the map or a restricted zone. Makes for great high risk high reward gameplay.

If you turn on your HUD it’ll help, but if not you gotta learn all the customization of the teams, so it’s easier.

Only the M16A2 keeps the carrying handle with scopes, the M16A4 removes the carrying handle.

keep in mind the aug does more damage than the m16a4, 5.56 cal @ 970m/s, being automatic with low recoil and being 3 supply makes it competitive.
