Depends on your play style and how accurate you are . Most aggressive players don't use sidearm because when you are switching in a firefight you will always die . Best option is to run if you can or pickup enemy weapon which is the best option if you can.
It’s quicker to switch guns then reload . I don’t know how many times the pistol has saved me . Plus finally a game where a pistol kills the enemy with less that 2 - 3 clips lol

I disagree. Take light armour. You will survive a grenade if its far enough away. Also you can survive 2-3 more hits. Its only 1 point. Also take a carrier and try to spend your points on utility as much as you can before spending points on a gun. Don't cheap out and skip the secondary. Always take a pistol. It will save your life more then you realise. (Switching to your pistol is faster then reloading. ) You can take a masterkey instead of a pistol but i only reccomend it if your defending. Its also 2-4 points more. As always: -glhf -always double check before going in -check those corners. Everyone camps. This game needs a class that can drop an ammo station and a class that can recon the area. The issue with push on both sides is a lack of intel. It would help the game so much
Well lack of intel is what makes the game unuque...if you will have UAV or somthing like that in COD the game will be much faster and will loose its spirit of presion on each player...

I would say the Smoke Launcher is pretty much a must on attack, especially if you take a carrier because it only costs 1 point and you can get at least 1 smoke out of it, up to 3 for the same cost.
Here's what I learned playing both insurgency games for some time now: 1. Light armour is the best protection for the price, as it will increase your survivability against pistol calibers like 9mm and .45ACP. 2. Always take light carrier. When playing demolitionist it's wise to take heavy carrier for the extra 40mm grenade and extra rocket. 3. Flash hider is useless. The maps are relatively small compared to other FPS games and players rarely rely on visual cues to spot an enemy, but rather audible gunfire. If you are getting shot at, you will die trying to see where the flash of the gun is. It is wiser to seek cover and determine the location of the enemy by their gunshots. If you are trying to be stealthy, use the suppressor, it will not only make your gunshots quieter but also hide your flash. For higher caliber guns with a lot of recoil use the compensator. 4. Pistols are only viable if using a machinegun or a bolt action sniper rifle. Otherwise they are nothing but added weight. By the time you will pull out your sidearm you will already be dead. If not, you could've already reloaded your primary. You will most likely die before running out of primary weapon ammo. Unless you are a camper, and in that case fuck you. If you ever actually landed in a situation where you needed to engage someone with a pistol head on, your chances of surviving against an opponent with a rifle are slim. 5. Grenades: flashbangs for CQB like Ministry, smokes for push mode, frag grenades are always worth having. Incendiary & molotovs are only useful for destroying caches. 6. Weapon attachments: I personally find 1.5x PKAS and 2x-1x holographic sights the best, for sniping 3x-6x. Best grips are aiming grip for faster ADS and recoil grip for higher caliber rifles. Extended magazines will save your life more times than you think, use them instead of a sidearm. Use tracers if you're an idiot and you want enemies to find you.
@@genericgamer8507 yep, unless you're using the desert eagle or the revolver. I found that the desert eagle one shots people, so it's basically just like a shotgun with slugs, but secondary
Flash hider helps a lot for full auto. Your muzzle flash actually obstructs a lot of vision when you full auto, especially at range. I’d never take it over a mask, but if it’s between aiming grip or loading grip and flash hider, the latter every day. Also sidearms are very useful. I always take one
"Armor is very expensive" Is *literally* 1 point bruh, the rifle plates of light armor take you from dying in 1-2 hits to 2-3, and increase of 50-100%. Heavy armor just adds greater protection in the form of soft armor for explosives, fragments from bullets through walls, etc, and has a place for defenders. I can't justify not running light armor most of the time.
Light armour makes you survive one more bullet in like under 10% of your engagements. Almost everyone is running 5.56 guns in this game, which basically ignore armour. As for explosives it just lets you be a little bit closer. If you're getting hit, you're already doing it wrong.
@@BlacksmithBets 5.56 is two shots regardless of armour at common combat ranges. Almost everyone is using 5.56 guns. And even if they're not, and it does take them one more shot to kill you, then its still unlikely it'll be enough time for you to survive since they just need to fire one more shot. If you're getting hit, you're already doing it wrong.

Against common calibers like 5.56, 5.45, and 7.62x39, it will take 2 shots to the torso to kill except at extreme ranges. 7.62x51 will 1 shot unarmored chests (except the MK 17 Mod 0, for SOME reason). Armor will increase that number to 2 (except if they're using the FAL within 20m, where it still takes 1 shot). Armor only really helps against pistol and SMG calibers and explosives. I suppose armor also helps with wallbangs, as the damage is reduced. It might give you one extra hit.
It’s expensive in the fact that it only helps in certain situations in every pvp mode except for dom you only get 15 supply keep in mind every security side is going to have a gun that’s at least 3 points a grip of some sort ranging most likely between 2 and 3 points since at the higher level of play you should use either reload or aiming grip then you should always have a frag thats 2 more a gas mask 1 point and a light carrier that’s another add flash hider on your gun so no one can see muzzle flash through smoke 1 more point thats 10 without a sight or smoke which ranges between 5 and 3 points since 2x scopes are the meta scopes so yes armor is expensive for it’s amount of utility it brings when you add on points of necessity
Additionally, it's very worth it to get a heavy carrier on Observer. Seeing as you'll be staying safe to be ready to call fire support with the Commander, having a heavy carrier can allow you to have 6 smokes in total. 3 smoke grenades and 3 smoke rounds from your underbarrel launcher. Pair that with the M16A4 and a 1x-2x or 1x-4x sight and you're golden!
Flash hider and gasmask save your live a thousand times more than armour Also, if you are prone, do not take a backpack, it will nearly triple your silhouette when prone, snipers don't need more ammo, and gunners can instead use galil+drums since you get 3 of them w.out a backpack
@@bardanmalla193 Light armour stops G3 1 shot, and FAL 1 shot at about 10m, however, they deal enough damage and have enough pen to one shot when you hit an arm, and then penetrate and hit the chest, not sure if heavy armour fixes that. Heavy armour can save you from one shot of dmrs and some sbrs, that's about it tho.

I got the game a couple of days ago on xbox noticed alot of these things like coughing when in smoke and muffled voice when useing a gas mask really helped alot.
If you have a few points left, already has your loadout of primary, secondary, utility and equipment ready, you should spend your extra points on attachments as they don't add weight to your character

First day playing it, even training i got to say, I love that everything is available, you can practice and get good and firing every gun and test drive the vehicles as well as fight your own style of bots to get you ready for PvP
After almost 1000 hours of gameplay I have to say that I don't really agree with a fair amount of the statements made in the video. Lighweight armour is utterly useless, yes. But heavy armour is definitely not. Being able to survive 2/3 extra bullets and explosions makes a huge difference, even if you cannot move as swifty. Either go with heavy armour, or nothing at all. I prefer to be protected though. The same goes with carriers. As you said, smokes and grenades in general are your best friend. Being able to carry 3 of them is a huge advantage, as well as having the ability to supress with fire. You can only do this with a heavy carrier, 3 points very well spent. In regards to primaries, I always recommend getting used to either not using a scope, or using the one who's less space-invasive (MRO, 2x Red Dot and the like). Using a large scope cripples your ability to play 90% of the times. Using Compensator+Recoil grip is the best loadout if you want your weapon to be really effective. And yes, always carry a secondary, even if it's the cheapest one.
Fully agree with your statements but the compensator and recoil grip depends, because the aiming grip is also very good if you want to be extra fast like with the mp7
You gotta remember weight tho being heavy limits movement and thus makes maneuvering the map a lot slower movement is key when it comes to playing against good players in sandstorm being fat makes movement worse making you easier to kill

I will always say take a light carrier just so you have another second to get put that callout or to fire back at pistols. I also always Carry a sidearm bc unless I'm playing breacher the gun length can get you killed in certain situations
I literally just downloaded the game and played 3 matches. I actually haven’t finished a match cuz assholes keep voting me out of the game. Gotta give me a chance to at least get used to playing the game so I can at least slightly get good at it
As rifleman I usually try to use a rifle with 7.62mm caliber, because it can kill in one shot even with armor, and in longer distances. On Insurgent side it's AK 47 or FN FAL, On Sec side it's usually TAVOR I think. When attacking more smoke. When defending more frag or inci. Light armor is always on, and usually light carrier. Also flash hider and nice scopes depending on map. As sniper the lower class primary like M24 usually does one shot kill. Just use 7 or 8x scope. In contrast the SASS cannot kill with one shot on long ranges, so it's far worse, even with faster fire-rate. Add a nice sidearm. Also supressor. As gunner I opt for higher caliber, and magazine size, 1-4 scope and flash hider.. With heavy carrier, or extended mag with light carrier. For observer I don't bring much smoke, because commander cannot call fire support through smoke. For commander I bring basic rifle and 6 smokes, including launcher and heavy carrier. For breacher I rarely play it, but faster fire rate SMGs are preferred for me. For advisor I prefere higher caliber rifles with best scopes. And some smoke during attack.
I’ll never understand why people don’t carry a secondary…I think using a pistol can even be fun sometimes but they come in handy in CQC when you are getting pushed and don’t have time to reload…gotta hit shots though
They do, I always have P226 with Quickdraw Holster in HC, furthermore in HC night ops, It's best to always have a flashlight equipped on your sidearm, as you always spawn back with your sidearm intact.
heavy armor will save you from a bullet that would otherwise kill you. since it only need 1 or 2 bullets to kill your enemy, armor will play a significant role of whether or not you would survive from a bullet to the chest (very important atleast for me). i'd go for light at the start of the match so i could go to obj faster then switch to full armor on the next respawn.
And before going full bonanza with 'nades, go and practice throws on bots - if you go solo there's no problem of flashing teammates, obsuring view or burning teammates 1 bad smoke can cancel out attack, 1 molotow can kill/burn/block one attack
I agree. Also In the comment section, some of them say that secondary is useless. Thats bs. When enemy attacks, and ive got to reload in the middle of it, drawing secondary has been saving my ass since the first day. What they are doing when their clip runs out and theres still enemy coming. They say here in the comments That its a death sentence if your mag runs out but really its not when switch to Pistol. Are we playing the same game. :D
y would be better if you lose your stamina faster with gasmask because breathing isn't that easy to make it so you wear it only in the right situations
Correct me if I'm wrong but in regarding the gas mask tip, I believe uncontrollable voice lines (RELODING, ENEMY DOWN, etc) are team sided. Optional voice lines in the scroll wheel (INTIMIDATE, ENEMY THAT WAY, etc) and observers calling in fire support are global. I don't know if I'm misremembering this but I think that's the case.
You're right. The enemy can't hear you reload, or when you capture an objective or when you're the last one alive and you say something "hey where is everyone" etc etc. But I reckon they can hear you yell something when a friendly dies, I swear I've heard it before. But most voice queues are audible and can be heard by the enemy.
good buff to the armor would be capable to carry 3 extra mags, 3 center mass 7.62 or 55 6 50% chance to completely deflect in stacked impact of the round, one extra frag, and a utility of small explosive breach, 15 overall hp gain...

Honestly you can toss away the gas mask if your doing PVP which is sadly the only way to get challenged in this game, PVE has been nerfed to all hell, and your more likely to be shot by team mates instead anyways. You don’t need a gas mask, use it for other stuff

The fal pkm mosin and svd will still one shot through light armor and the akm ak74 aks74u and alpha ak is a 2 shot with or without light armor 3 with heavy for all of those guns the only place light will take one more is 556 9m 8mm Mauser (the mg3) and the g3 for some odd reason is an outlier of 762 which the g3 since it’s nerf has been used less and less by the day which makes light armor even more situational

They are very different in the way they play so quite frankly it's whatever you prefer. Personally I love PVP a lot more than Co-op so I would suggest going in there and getting a feel. It will be super frustrating to begin with as you'll die a lot but in the long run I do believe it helps more.
I suggest PVE for a while, or at least in tandem. I almost quit early on because PVP was so brutal, at least for me. I used PVE to learn the feel of the guns, the maps, etc...
@@sac_YT I’d recommend console players jump straight into the main gamemodes like Push and Firefight to be honest. Everyone will be new and unfamiliar with the game at launch so it’s not like they’ll be at a disadvantage.
I really disagree with the armour argument. Turning a 1-shot kill into a 2 or 3-shot kill is an absolute godsend when every bullet is lethal. It gives you way more time to react, especially against slower firing weapons like the AK or QTS. Works great on pistol calibers too, even if the fire-rate is jacked.
Not really since your head is almost always what going to get hit and you already way a lot as gunner since you should be taking heavy carrier and the gun and ammo is already heavy so mobility is lower
This game supposes to be realistic but sometimes it makes no sense. Like when a guy killed me with 2 pistol shots while I was in heavy armor(and it wasn't headshot) while in reality, he would do close to no dmg even with a full magazine. Sometimes enemies go down with 1-2 riffle bullets and sometimes I see the enemy, I start shooting first, I see bullets hitting him but he still manages to stop, aim and kill me first:(
Desynchronization between your computer and the server is what causes enemies to look like they've been hit when they weren't. On your side you see that your weapon fired, and blood spattered where the hitscan/projectile should have hit, but on the server's side it either registered it so late that the enemy moved before the shot could have landed or it wasn't registered at all. Sometimes the enemy isn't exactly where it looks like they are on your screen as far as the server is concerned, though I've only ever had issues with that when my internet was being cut off. As for the pistol, unless the enemy was looking down or streight up, you were probably hit in the head.
better go with the standart edition. weapons, maps etc updates are free in insurgency. you don't need the extra skins tbh and the base game char customization is already good enough. and maybe later you can buy skins if they release something that's you like. (but you can buy it if you want)
You unlock the rest by leveling up. It's to prevent noobs from picking up important roles that require lots more knowledge than they have, like Commander or Marksman.
@@sninctbur3726 Sadly I still see a lot of new players picking Marksman and not dealing with enemy snipers/gunners, or doing anything useful. imo, they should raise the level requirement to 100 at least.
You have to unlock them as you level up it’s so low levels don’t just use sniper gunner demo and commander which would be taking up important spots that take skill to learn to use properly
I cannot get my friggen sensitivities changed for my controller, cannot fine tune at all. Every time I change my ads sensitivity, look on x and y, etc, I hit x to apply, and nothing changes. Any ideas?
you get points back, every class starts with a specified amount of points. Something to remember is to not be afraid to have some extra points left over if it means you're keeping your weight low, weight in this game is so overlooked but so important for mobility. Can't tell you how many flanks i've gotten because I could run faster than the rest of my team lol.
the points are just there to balance the loadouts so you cant equip everything. more modern or powerfull gun cost more points so do more ammo more nades etc. but you can always flip your point around how you like it to adjust your loadout and resuply or respawn.
Calibre is the round being fired which effect's velocity, damage and PP. So for example a 5.56 round is a smaller round than a 7.62 round, which means it will fly faster for longer which results in a higher velocity, it can penetrate walls better etc etc. 7.62 doesn't always mean more damage either. I wouldn't concern ya self with the recoil units too much. It can be a guide, but fire rate can affect how a weapons recoil feels too.
Some adviceds for new players after 400+ hours in game: -Do not equip any armor, its useless. -Do not use bolt action rifles as marksman, semi-autos are much better(SVD M110 M14). -Do not equip pistol if you have an automatic rifle, better spend this points on attachments for your main gun. -Equip light carrier, it has 5 mags and 2 grenades which usually is enough. -For guns: anything that shoots 5.56 or 5.45 like M4A1, MK18, AUG, L86, AK74, QBZ03. Recoil for them is practically non existent. -For attachments: mandatory - flash hider or suppressor(so enemy wont see you that easy), highly recommended - 2x-1x scope and recoil grip(or quickdraw), optional(if you have spare points) - extended mag, never - tracer rounds, laser sight, compensator(maybe useful on very specific guns, but you better take flash hider anyway).
after 1.6k hours pistols can rock. but y dont spent much points on a pistol... still m9 silenced is a pocket beast if you can click those headshots. i always pick one if I go out with my mosin. sure SVD is better.... but the mosin. and even with some of the assault rifles I take a pistol with me if I have some points left. saved my ass ofthen enough.
Always remember Extra Magazine plus extended Magazine and Speed Reload Double Tap R. You are welcome. Insurgency SandStorm is basically Run and Gun but use cover frequently and you will be fine. Oh And I'm level 400 so don't worry im no cod fan nor a battlefield fan and not bias to this game.
You really should only take one of the two attachments either recoil grip or compensater mostly the one that affects vertical recoil and not horizontal unless you use mgs but I highly recommend learning the recoil patters of the guns as soon as possible so you can spend a couple points elsewhere

you dont. you basically only unlock cosmetics and the more specific roles like commander or breached when lvling up. When you unlock a class you get everything right out the start. you just need to make your build out of the things aviable. insurgency is about the gameplay not the grind... and thb its awesome you play to get better but not by your gear or perks. you improve your skill, aim, knowledge etc.

Extended magazines will save your life more times than you think, use them instead of a sidearm. Use tracers if you're an idiot and you want enemies to find you.

Flash hider helps a lot for full auto. Your muzzle flash actually obstructs a lot of vision when you full auto, especially at range. I’d never take it over a mask, but if it’s between aiming grip or loading grip and flash hider, the latter every day. Also sidearms are very useful. I always take one

bruh, the rifle plates of light armor take you from dying in 1-2 hits to 2-3, and increase of 50-100%. Heavy armor just adds greater protection in the form of soft armor for explosives, fragments from bullets through walls, etc, and has a place for defenders. I can't justify not running light armor most of the time.
Light armour makes you survive one more bullet in like under 10% of your engagements. Almost everyone is running 5.56 guns in this game, which basically ignore armour. As for explosives it just lets you be a little bit closer.
If you're getting hit, you're already doing it wrong.

@@BlacksmithBets 5.56 is two shots regardless of armour at common combat ranges. Almost everyone is using 5.56 guns. And even if they're not, and it does take them one more shot to kill you, then its still unlikely it'll be enough time for you to survive since they just need to fire one more shot.

Against common calibers like 5.56, 5.45, and 7.62x39, it will take 2 shots to the torso to kill except at extreme ranges. 7.62x51 will 1 shot unarmored chests (except the MK 17 Mod 0, for SOME reason). Armor will increase that number to 2 (except if they're using the FAL within 20m, where it still takes 1 shot). Armor only really helps against pistol and SMG calibers and explosives. I suppose armor also helps with wallbangs, as the damage is reduced. It might give you one extra hit.
It’s expensive in the fact that it only helps in certain situations in every pvp mode except for dom you only get 15 supply keep in mind every security side is going to have a gun that’s at least 3 points a grip of some sort ranging most likely between 2 and 3 points since at the higher level of play you should use either reload or aiming grip then you should always have a frag thats 2 more a gas mask 1 point and a light carrier that’s another add flash hider on your gun so no one can see muzzle flash through smoke 1 more point thats 10 without a sight or smoke which ranges between 5 and 3 points since 2x scopes are the meta scopes so yes armor is expensive for it’s amount of utility it brings when you add on points of necessity
Additionally, it's very worth it to get a heavy carrier on Observer.
Seeing as you'll be staying safe to be ready to call fire support with the Commander, having a heavy carrier can allow you to have 6 smokes in total.
3 smoke grenades and 3 smoke rounds from your underbarrel launcher. Pair that with the M16A4 and a 1x-2x or 1x-4x sight and you're golden!
Flash hider and gasmask save your live a thousand times more than armour
Also, if you are prone, do not take a backpack, it will nearly triple your silhouette when prone, snipers don't need more ammo, and gunners can instead use galil+drums since you get 3 of them w.out a backpack
Or just a 249 since its 200 rounds
That changes if the enemy uses higher calibar round
@@bardanmalla193 Light armour stops G3 1 shot, and FAL 1 shot at about 10m, however, they deal enough damage and have enough pen to one shot when you hit an arm, and then penetrate and hit the chest, not sure if heavy armour fixes that.
Heavy armour can save you from one shot of dmrs and some sbrs, that's about it tho.

I got the game a couple of days ago on xbox noticed alot of these things like coughing when in smoke and muffled voice when useing a gas mask really helped alot.
If you have a few points left, already has your loadout of primary, secondary, utility and equipment ready, you should spend your extra points on attachments as they don't add weight to your character

First day playing it, even training i got to say, I love that everything is available, you can practice and get good and firing every gun and test drive the vehicles as well as fight your own style of bots to get you ready for PvP
After almost 1000 hours of gameplay I have to say that I don't really agree with a fair amount of the statements made in the video.
Lighweight armour is utterly useless, yes. But heavy armour is definitely not. Being able to survive 2/3 extra bullets and explosions makes a huge difference, even if you cannot move as swifty. Either go with heavy armour, or nothing at all. I prefer to be protected though.
The same goes with carriers. As you said, smokes and grenades in general are your best friend. Being able to carry 3 of them is a huge advantage, as well as having the ability to supress with fire. You can only do this with a heavy carrier, 3 points very well spent.
In regards to primaries, I always recommend getting used to either not using a scope, or using the one who's less space-invasive (MRO, 2x Red Dot and the like). Using a large scope cripples your ability to play 90% of the times.
Using Compensator+Recoil grip is the best loadout if you want your weapon to be really effective. And yes, always carry a secondary, even if it's the cheapest one.
Fully agree with your statements but the compensator and recoil grip depends, because the aiming grip is also very good if you want to be extra fast like with the mp7
You gotta remember weight tho being heavy limits movement and thus makes maneuvering the map a lot slower movement is key when it comes to playing against good players in sandstorm being fat makes movement worse making you easier to kill

I will always say take a light carrier just so you have another second to get put that callout or to fire back at pistols. I also always Carry a sidearm bc unless I'm playing breacher the gun length can get you killed in certain situations
If your playing slow taking your time,and watching your corners then armor is almost always worth. Armor has saved me in many a gun fight.
I literally just downloaded the game and played 3 matches. I actually haven’t finished a match cuz assholes keep voting me out of the game. Gotta give me a chance to at least get used to playing the game so I can at least slightly get good at it
As rifleman I usually try to use a rifle with 7.62mm caliber, because it can kill in one shot even with armor, and in longer distances. On Insurgent side it's AK 47 or FN FAL, On Sec side it's usually TAVOR I think. When attacking more smoke. When defending more frag or inci. Light armor is always on, and usually light carrier. Also flash hider and nice scopes depending on map.
As sniper the lower class primary like M24 usually does one shot kill. Just use 7 or 8x scope. In contrast the SASS cannot kill with one shot on long ranges, so it's far worse, even with faster fire-rate. Add a nice sidearm. Also supressor.
As gunner I opt for higher caliber, and magazine size, 1-4 scope and flash hider.. With heavy carrier, or extended mag with light carrier.
For observer I don't bring much smoke, because commander cannot call fire support through smoke.
For commander I bring basic rifle and 6 smokes, including launcher and heavy carrier.
For breacher I rarely play it, but faster fire rate SMGs are preferred for me.
For advisor I prefere higher caliber rifles with best scopes. And some smoke during attack.

I’ll never understand why people don’t carry a secondary…I think using a pistol can even be fun sometimes but they come in handy in CQC when you are getting pushed and don’t have time to reload…gotta hit shots though
They do, I always have P226 with Quickdraw Holster in HC, furthermore in HC night ops, It's best to always have a flashlight equipped on your sidearm, as you always spawn back with your sidearm intact.
heavy armor will save you from a bullet that would otherwise kill you. since it only need 1 or 2 bullets to kill your enemy, armor will play a significant role of whether or not you would survive from a bullet to the chest (very important atleast for me). i'd go for light at the start of the match so i could go to obj faster then switch to full armor on the next respawn.

Heavy armor costs and weighs too much (which limits mobility heavily) and light armor is alright just situational at best
And before going full bonanza with 'nades, go and practice throws on bots - if you go solo there's no problem of flashing teammates, obsuring view or burning teammates
1 bad smoke can cancel out attack, 1 molotow can kill/burn/block one attack

When enemy attacks, and ive got to reload in the middle of it, drawing secondary has been saving my ass since the first day. What they are doing when their clip runs out and theres still enemy coming. They say here in the comments That its a death sentence if your mag runs out but really its not when switch to Pistol. Are we playing the same game. :D
Secondaries aren’t useless they just aren’t as good as having map knowledge and ttk knowledge which in this video is assumed which is fair to do so
I refuse to wear a gasmask at all times. I want to see the game as it is not through a gasmask, so I only use it when close to enemies or in smoke.
y would be better if you lose your stamina faster with gasmask because breathing isn't that easy to make it so you wear it only in the right situations

Correct me if I'm wrong but in regarding the gas mask tip, I believe uncontrollable voice lines (RELODING, ENEMY DOWN, etc) are team sided. Optional voice lines in the scroll wheel (INTIMIDATE, ENEMY THAT WAY, etc) and observers calling in fire support are global. I don't know if I'm misremembering this but I think that's the case.
You're right. The enemy can't hear you reload, or when you capture an objective or when you're the last one alive and you say something "hey where is everyone" etc etc. But I reckon they can hear you yell something when a friendly dies, I swear I've heard it before. But most voice queues are audible and can be heard by the enemy.

good buff to the armor would be capable to carry 3 extra mags, 3 center mass 7.62 or 55 6 50% chance to completely deflect in stacked impact of the round, one extra frag, and a utility of small explosive breach, 15 overall hp gain...
Reason this won’t happen is bc it’s makes the game less competitive and more luck based which makes for a shaky experience where skill is unrewarded

Honestly you can toss away the gas mask if your doing PVP which is sadly the only way to get challenged in this game, PVE has been nerfed to all hell, and your more likely to be shot by team mates instead anyways.

Light armour stops a one shot torso from 7.62 nato, it’s useful. I wouldn’t use heavy armour though
The fal pkm mosin and svd will still one shot through light armor and the akm ak74 aks74u and alpha ak is a 2 shot with or without light armor 3 with heavy for all of those guns the only place light will take one more is 556 9m 8mm Mauser (the mg3) and the g3 for some odd reason is an outlier of 762 which the g3 since it’s nerf has been used less and less by the day which makes light armor even more situational

Would you recommend new players to go straight into PvP or try going against A.I first to get a feel of the game ?
They are very different in the way they play so quite frankly it's whatever you prefer. Personally I love PVP a lot more than Co-op so I would suggest going in there and getting a feel. It will be super frustrating to begin with as you'll die a lot but in the long run I do believe it helps more.
I suggest PVE for a while, or at least in tandem. I almost quit early on because PVP was so brutal, at least for me. I used PVE to learn the feel of the guns, the maps, etc...
I personally used Domination (pvp) to get used to the game. I'd recommend playing that and pve before you jump into push/Frontline
@@sac_YT I’d recommend console players jump straight into the main gamemodes like Push and Firefight to be honest. Everyone will be new and unfamiliar with the game at launch so it’s not like they’ll be at a disadvantage.
Go straight to PvP, if you go PvE you will find the PvP very difficult after :)

I really disagree with the armour argument. Turning a 1-shot kill into a 2 or 3-shot kill is an absolute godsend when every bullet is lethal. It gives you way more time to react, especially against slower firing weapons like the AK or QTS. Works great on pistol calibers too, even if the fire-rate is jacked.

Not really since your head is almost always what going to get hit and you already way a lot as gunner since you should be taking heavy carrier and the gun and ammo is already heavy so mobility is lower

This game supposes to be realistic but sometimes it makes no sense. Like when a guy killed me with 2 pistol shots while I was in heavy armor(and it wasn't headshot) while in reality, he would do close to no dmg even with a full magazine. Sometimes enemies go down with 1-2 riffle bullets and sometimes I see the enemy, I start shooting first, I see bullets hitting him but he still manages to stop, aim and kill me first:(
Desynchronization between your computer and the server is what causes enemies to look like they've been hit when they weren't. On your side you see that your weapon fired, and blood spattered where the hitscan/projectile should have hit, but on the server's side it either registered it so late that the enemy moved before the shot could have landed or it wasn't registered at all. Sometimes the enemy isn't exactly where it looks like they are on your screen as far as the server is concerned, though I've only ever had issues with that when my internet was being cut off. As for the pistol, unless the enemy was looking down or streight up, you were probably hit in the head.

better go with the standart edition. weapons, maps etc updates are free in insurgency. you don't need the extra skins tbh and the base game char customization is already good enough. and maybe later you can buy skins if they release something that's you like. (but you can buy it if you want)

You unlock the rest by leveling up. It's to prevent noobs from picking up important roles that require lots more knowledge than they have, like Commander or Marksman.
@@sninctbur3726 Sadly I still see a lot of new players picking Marksman and not dealing with enemy snipers/gunners, or doing anything useful. imo, they should raise the level requirement to 100 at least.

You have to unlock them as you level up it’s so low levels don’t just use sniper gunner demo and commander which would be taking up important spots that take skill to learn to use properly

I cannot get my friggen sensitivities changed for my controller, cannot fine tune at all. Every time I change my ads sensitivity, look on x and y, etc, I hit x to apply, and nothing changes. Any ideas?

you get points back, every class starts with a specified amount of points. Something to remember is to not be afraid to have some extra points left over if it means you're keeping your weight low, weight in this game is so overlooked but so important for mobility. Can't tell you how many flanks i've gotten because I could run faster than the rest of my team lol.
Of course, but if u edit ur loadout mid game, it'll change after u died and respawn or u resupply in resupply box.

the points are just there to balance the loadouts so you cant equip everything. more modern or powerfull gun cost more points so do more ammo more nades etc. but you can always flip your point around how you like it to adjust your loadout and resuply or respawn.

What about the gun stats, no videos mention those, I have no clue what caliber means and horizontal recoil or vertical
Calibre is the round being fired which effect's velocity, damage and PP. So for example a 5.56 round is a smaller round than a 7.62 round, which means it will fly faster for longer which results in a higher velocity, it can penetrate walls better etc etc. 7.62 doesn't always mean more damage either.
I wouldn't concern ya self with the recoil units too much. It can be a guide, but fire rate can affect how a weapons recoil feels too.
Some adviceds for new players after 400+ hours in game:
-Do not equip any armor, its useless.
-Do not use bolt action rifles as marksman, semi-autos are much better(SVD M110 M14).
-Do not equip pistol if you have an automatic rifle, better spend this points on attachments for your main gun.
-Equip light carrier, it has 5 mags and 2 grenades which usually is enough.
-For guns: anything that shoots 5.56 or 5.45 like M4A1, MK18, AUG, L86, AK74, QBZ03. Recoil for them is practically non existent.
-For attachments: mandatory - flash hider or suppressor(so enemy wont see you that easy), highly recommended - 2x-1x scope and recoil grip(or quickdraw), optional(if you have spare points) - extended mag, never - tracer rounds, laser sight, compensator(maybe useful on very specific guns, but you better take flash hider anyway).
Yeah I forgot to mention that the laser site and tracer rounds are useless lol
after 1.6k hours pistols can rock. but y dont spent much points on a pistol... still m9 silenced is a pocket beast if you can click those headshots. i always pick one if I go out with my mosin. sure SVD is better.... but the mosin. and even with some of the assault rifles I take a pistol with me if I have some points left. saved my ass ofthen enough.

Recoil grip is kinda useless imo, aiming grip is much better since you can learn to control your recoul but you cant learn to ADS faster

Always remember Extra Magazine plus extended Magazine and Speed Reload Double Tap R. You are welcome. Insurgency SandStorm is basically Run and Gun but use cover frequently and you will be fine. Oh And I'm level 400 so don't worry im no cod fan nor a battlefield fan and not bias to this game.

You really should only take one of the two attachments either recoil grip or compensater mostly the one that affects vertical recoil and not horizontal unless you use mgs but I highly recommend learning the recoil patters of the guns as soon as possible so you can spend a couple points elsewhere

you dont. you basically only unlock cosmetics and the more specific roles like commander or breached when lvling up. When you unlock a class you get everything right out the start. you just need to make your build out of the things aviable. insurgency is about the gameplay not the grind... and thb its awesome you play to get better but not by your gear or perks. you improve your skill, aim, knowledge etc.
You buy all the dlc, personally pay me $200, and then you receive a .005% chance of getting a bonus point when playing Skirmish.
You only get 15 same as everyone else in the lobby
