They didn't trust Jesus with their lives because they thought Jesus failed to delivered them from Rome, but then after Jesus rose on the third day and appeared to them after that they believed and then they trusted their lives to Jesus and to follow him and listen to him because they believe he is the Christ

I used to be fond of such a "spiritual" man. Then I couldn't understand why I felt like I needed a shower after watching a sermon. In April, I was introduced to GRACE and then it all made sense. At first I felt sorry for him, and now I know that he is a wolf in sheep's clothing. But what's worse than a wolf in sheep's clothing? A "shepherd." Try telling people about the false minister Billy Graham, or John MacArthur and you have a fight on your hands.

Amen Brother. John MacArthur wrote a book call, "Hard to be saved". In that book he made the statement, "It is not the words we speak, but the life we live that determines our eternal destiny."
HOG WASH. It is the life Jesus lived that saves us by grace. Second Corinthians 5:21. For He who knew no sin, became sin for us, so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
Thank God there are still those standing on the promises of God and calling out these false teachers.
See you in heaven brother. John 3:16-18. Romans 3:26-28. I have nothing to boast in except the finished work of Jesus on the cross. John 6:47. God cannot lie. John 6:40. John 5:24. Romans 1:16

It grieves my heart that any believer would be living without the assurance of their salvation. And it grieves me even more when pastors actually are the cause of it. I am so grateful that God is raising up men of God like yourself who are battling Calvinism. It really has got to go. I recall reading about a situation with Jonathan Edwards of telling those assembled that they couldn't be saved unless they were "elect." This produced a horrible scene of people who heard this, who clearly wanted to be saved, but who were crying out and begging God to "choose" them so they could be saved.

Yes, surely saved people still have capacity to lie and do lie. It doesn’t mean it’s okay, but it surely happens. Your sin nature doesn’t go away after you believe.
The part of the believer that goes to heaven is the new spirit nature that is born of God. It doesn’t sin. We aren’t perfect! Every sin is condemned.

I heard a message of MacArthur once and he said and I quote “unless you forsake all you have you can’t be his disciple, meaning you can’t be saved” end quote. Thats what he said. They never know how to rightly divide salvation and discipleship. How tragic because what leadership and influence he has with MANY and yet they are lead astray.

At 3:20, that is not what MacArthur teaches at all. Just those 30 seconds showed that you do not fully understand this topic and what MacArthur teaches and then you hop on TH-cam and "disprove" him or call him a "false teacher". Absolutely ridiculous.
In the great commission, we are commanded to go and make disciples (Matt 28:16-20). Not, go and make "believers". Disciples follow the way of Jesus and undergo progressive sanctification to conform to the perfect image of Christ. True believers are followers, and that's why they are baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Nowhere does that violate faith alone, WE ARE NOT SAVED BY KEEPING COMMANDMENTS OR GOOD WORKS! We are saved by the blood of Christ.

    Thanks Jesse and Trent.
Calvanism is ILLOGICAL, you have to persevere to the end, BUT you are the elect, chosen to go to heaven from the beginning, so you were never in danger of hell fire even before you were born and well before you know you were saved, (you were born again BEFORE THE FLESH BIRTH,) even though you were always saved cause you are the elect, but you can never know you’re the elect, you have to try and live a perfect life in the flesh to prove you are the elect, so you don’t really have to persevere cause you were always saved, you can just test your faith to figure out for yourself and prove to others if you are possibly one of the elect. AND HENCE, why you can never know and always have that fear that you may of deceived yourself and you may not be one of the elect and go to hell.
What a depressing way to live.
There is a video online of RC Sproul just before his death, himself talking about that he may of deceived himself and not be one of the elect and what he’ll do if he does end up in hell, that would be soooo scary that you’re pastor doesn’t know and he’s so righteousness and learned so how could you know, that is not good news. It’s great you guys are calling out this wicked theology.
If I find the video I’ll send a link, it’s jaw dropping and sad. But they need to be called out, preach another gospel be accursed.

      @BibleLine  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

It’s on the chopping block. Lots of content in our future. Getting to filming is the part that takes time haha!
      Short answer:
This portion is not about being cut off from salvation. Notice ALL Israel was set to the side for the Gentiles to come into play. God isn’t finished with Israel - please don’t misconstrue me - but it’s about his choosing for a purpose. Majority Israel rejected and rejects him today, so they were “cut off” from being used to continue his purpose. God would now use the body of Christ (the church - those who believe) to carry out his work. This doesn’t mean many Jews stopped being saved… The warning is to the Church (Jew and Gentile) that we should be careful as believers to not make the same mistakes as Israel did.
The portion of scripture from Romans 9-11 need be carefully and slowly examined. There is no tenant of Calvinism or Catholicism found on this passage. There is only cherry-picking to form doctrines and traditions of men.

12:20 he said that's a lack of assurance. Assurance=faith so yes the person never had it to begin with. He didn't forget, he's the one that would forsake, abandon and apostasize in his heart because he never had assurance. How could one have assurance and forget? I think its imposiible ? 🤔

    • @Jesussaves.7777
      @Jesussaves.7777 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

That's is not what is being said.
When a believer lives in sin they can forget assurance
I think also because sin leads to more sins and a believer can get so far down in sin that they forget that they are a believer becoming lukewarm and not being useful and losing fellowship with GOD
Also GOD will take away their peace and joy from them they can actually go further because of their mindset and become insane as well I believe.
We all need peace and joy.
If GOD takes that away life will feel really numb , cold , dark and lonely.
Even though we still have The Holy Spirit we will still suffer loss.
As believers we are Saved. But would be losing more on earth and loss of Rewards in Heaven.
Remember as Believers if we're being disobedient we can get sick or lose our life early but still be saved.
There is no such thing as " evidence of being saved or salvation"
It's if a person believe that Jesus Christ alone paid for all their sins past present future through Jesus's Death Burial and Resurrection . Of what Jesus did on The Cross by shedding of His Powerful Innocent Precious Blood that they have Everlasting life.
If they believe that then they are Saved forever. Heaven bound and can be with The Savior Jesus Christ forever.
I think you should look up what apostate means it is not the same as reprobate .

@@BibleLine yeah but the statement about Abraham being justified by his works takes on more meaning then the context of the book. I don’t think it’s honest to say that the context determines every thing contained in the book, John’s gospel is written so that people may believe yet we don’t say that’s only for unbelievers and dismiss everything in it. I am reformed and I feel like your representation of the reformed position is not honest. I don’t believe I’m justified by works I believe I’m justified by faith but a true faith will seek to obey, if someone has no desire to obey then we don’t say obey or your not justified we address the belief, have they truly believed on Christ, that’s the point of what James is talking about and compares mere mental assent to demon faith. Demons believe Christ died for sins but they are not justified. Demons even tremble and they know more about God than us yet they are not justified. It’s just as bad as reformed people saying arminians believe they are justified by works by believing on their own, i don’t think that’s true. You demonize a whole group of sincere believers through your teaching. We ought to be seeking unity. Not more division.

I would rather say I trust in Jesus for the life he promised us to those who believe in him. Everlasting life.
Salvation is Gods free gift to us so we need to receive it. As sinful human beings we stand condemned to perish for eternity, only by receiving everlasting life can one receive salvation from eternal punishment. Jesus is the Son of God, the promised Christ, who died on the cross for our sin and rose again, he removed the sin barrier between us and God, so that everyone who believes in Him shall, never perish but, have everlasting life. His promise to those who believe in Him for it, is that you shall, never perish, never hunger, never thirst, never come into judgement and have everlasting life. God said it. Believe it.

I’d like to know more about such tests that supposedly prove one is saved.
What kind of tests are required? Exactly how many? How long should they last ? and so on.
This is sad as it misleads believers to place their trust in their works instead of His his finished work and unbelievers to misunderstand that salvation is a free gift already paid for. Regardless, in both it can cause undo and maybe overwhelming dread that either they’re not saved( but are ) or just never accept Christ because it leaves them with a burden to big to carry because “ when is it good enough to give assurance?” ( and they remain lost, thinking it’s up to them and it’s unattainable.
There can be a Christian who comparatively has less struggles and testing than another Christian who has more yet both are saved because it’s about faith and the object of that faith : Jesus and not Self.

Jesus told Peter he would deny him three times and Peter didn’t believe it because there is no WAY he would ever do that.
Jesus knew Peter, but Peter didn’t know himself, so he was tested and it was revealed to him.
It might even be that when Satan asked to sift Peter, it was actually the days after this moment. I mean, he rejects Christ, whom he loves 3 times and right after he does it, he looks up and Jesus is staring at him. They never even got to speak, because Jesus was being taken to be tortured and killed.

I’ve also read this part of 1 Peter. Honestly, I could see that this passage is referring to those who has true faith in Christ when it comes to trusting in His work on the cross. Many people believe on Christ for the wrong reasons. They might believe in Christ thinking it’ll get them rich, thinking they’ll have good health, thinking life will be easier. They come to Christ due to their own fleshly desires. And when a trial hits, they walk away because their fleshly desire isn’t getting fulfilled. Why do you see people who walk away from God cause they believed in a prosperity gospel someone preached to them, or they had a false assumption of what the gospel and life with Jesus offered.
Real Christian’s believe on Christ simply for salvation and nothing else. Not for fleshly desires. They understand that their life can honestly take a hard left even after putting faith in Christ.
Im open to rebuke, but as I said before, many put their faith in Christ for the wrong motives. They think life will be sweet but thats only the flesh talking.

Frankly, the NIV is a watered-down elementary school, superficial presentation of the Greek text. So very loosely "translated" with not too subtly imposed elements of doctrinal presupposition. The NASB, on the other hand, is arguably the most literal version available aside from a Greek-English interlinear version. Keep in mind that any and all "commentaries" are nothing more than that: COMMENTaries. MacArthur is adequate if you are a 5-point Calvinist, a Dispensationalist, and a Cessationist. I imagine that there should be Christian guidelines to ensure that everybody understands the same thing. Hmmm, but given that there are all these different names of churches, maybe God allows people the freedom to believe what they want, as long as they say the prayer and feel bad about what happened to Jesus.

How do you know the warning is not concerning men like MacArthur?
He preaches a false gospel, and he condemns himself by his own teachings.
His “gospel” requires works, trials and discipleship as a “proof” that one is saved. There is no “proof” that one is saved through your own good works.
Jesus Christ did the work. You believe it. You’re saved. Full stop. 1 John 5:10-13.

@BibleLine no, he does NOT preach salvation by works in the SLIGHTEST. I can't even begin to fathom what you've listened to that makes you spout such a false accusation. Go listen to his teachings on galatians! You're also clearly uneducated on calvinism and have only studied counter points. I'll have a phone conversation with you if you want, but to go on and argue on comments further proves my point about the warning in thimothy. If McArthur preached salvation by works I would have stopped listening to anything he had to say decades ago.

@BibleLine goodness gracious. I am flabbergasted. Salvation is by faith. True saving faith produces good works. Macarthur was simply saying that if someone struggles with assurance that they've not seen the fruit of their salvation. That fruit is never more clearly put on display than when you're being tested, so to speak. Our salvation is by faith in Christ and nothing else, but I challenge you to produce the proof of YOUR salvation. Show me the certificate. It's only natural that as human beings left to struggle with our nature, which God uses both to remind of who we were/are and as punishment for what we've done/doing, that we would question if we are truly saved or not. Salvation in the bible is explained in many different ways, even by Christ, because not one physical and temporal example can do it justice. Those who God justifies manifest it through faith, perseverance, and obedience in sanctification. Not in a synergistic way as if it was dependent on us, but also not devoid our choice to exercise and express the new life.
