Comfortably Numb 2022 : Before lockdown I had been working on a demo of a new version of ‘Comfortably Numb’ as an opener to our new show “This Is Not A Drill”. I pitched it a whole step down, in A Minor, to make it darker and arranged it with no solos, except over the outro, where there is a heartrendingly beautiful vocal solo from one of our new sisters Shanay Johnson.
It’s intended as a wakeup call, and a bridge towards a kinder future with more talking to strangers, either in “The Bar” or just “Passing in the Street” and less slaughter “In Some Foreign Field.”

The Happiest Days of Our Lives : is a song by Pink Floyd. It appeared on The Wall album in 1979.
Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2 : is a three-part composition on Pink Floyd's 1979 rock opera The Wall, written by bassist Roger Waters. "Part 2", a protest song against corporal punishment, and rigid and abusive schooling, features a children's choir. At the suggestion of producer Bob Ezrin, Pink Floyd added elements of disco.
Another Brick in the Wall, Part 3 : Following a violent breakdown in "Part 3", Pink dismisses everyone he knows as "just bricks in the wall." - เพลง

Even Jolly Roger knows he is too dark sometimes. Makes me wonder, as we all get old, what might have been if they could have blended.
I like this version, just as I like more traditional versions. What I don’t like is Rogers inability to express his views WHILE still entertaining

Well just watched Waters butcher Comfortably Numb! What a dark soul he is! Proves Gilmour, Wright and Nick were Pink Floyd!
He wrote the thing. As an artist,.he is free to do what he feels right for it.
This version might miss the classic thing we love, but this take is equally good. It is a much more haunting song now ;)

Was the lead guitarist away to the toilet. Not on the same level as Dave Gilmoir
the guitar is absent from this revisited version, but Dave Kilminster, the lead guitarist on this tour is very good, certainly not at David's level, it's a shame but it's been like that for 30 years...

it's a totally different version, without guitar to make up for David's guitar, but I nevertheless find this version interesting, with a much slower tempo, very different arrangements
