The lyrics here- I don't need no thought control, a certain type of controlled education system that compromises a soul's free will, God's gift to everyone, this song to me stands up against this type of systemic oppression of a younger generations choices to be themselves, in schools, worse more in some countries than others.. given only the choices that the world demands of them based on who you are and where you're from, only a very small miniscule percentage actually break the mould and make it themselves, God gives us the desires of our heart, these are talents a talent is a measure of potential to spend on what you are genuinely interested in, to become whatever you genuinely want to be, the Christian view is if its given by God then its 100% possible, genuine interest cannot be forced... so the difference lies there. Thanks Roger Waters for sticking it to the man...
This hero-I mean the legendary Roger Waters-is a true and shining treasure for all libertarians around the world. Regardless of nation, color, or any other difference between human beings, he teaches us all to resist force and forced obligations in life, from school days to all aspects of life! Beautifully, he tries to organize concerts everywhere to remind us that in the new world, we must resist hierarchical coercion. This man is more than a musician. He is a world-class social activist, and the world must admire him more and more.
I don't know if it's because of the stress of the last couple of months, teaching kids through a screen thanks to the pandemic, but I'm crying so hard right now :/ I'd love to see Roger again :( This record means so much to me ♡
I hope those kids appreciate how iconic that song is. How legendary Pink Floyd are and how utterly fortunate they are to have been there on that stage. Amazing.
I saw the first concert of The Wall in London in 1980, then 1981 again.... Amazing, it was just amazing then!! I'd love to see the video of it from the beginning of its release!! And im particularly found of Roger Waters and all the work he did for the group from the very beginning!! 🥰

I saw the show in Peru, such a beautiful experience that I will never forget. Thanks Roger for waiting 28 years for me until the day I finally got to see you live.
When I was a teenager in the 70s I listened to Pink Floyd, and a lot of other bands. But Pink Floyd has saying power. Its great music for older and more sophisticated tastes too. It has a real message that is delivered in an aesthetically relevant manner.

Seeing Waters live is my #1 Bucket list item. Loving the new renditions lately and stay healthy.
👍👍👍
such a moving version...I was checking live versions since I'm putting this song together with 50 kids, my English high school students in a rural school in Argentina... none of them and most of their parents had no idea who Pink Floyd is but now they will... Thanks Roger Waters for sticking it to the man...

You are the greatest Mr. Roger, thank you
The end of the song is especially high quality. Way to go, Roger.
Nothing compares to Roger. Pure genius!
Im 56, its 2023. Roger is a huge part of my thinking, my music and logic. Thank you roger and Pink Floyd.
I went to his show in Lisbon, for the Us and Them Tour!...and i still havent recover from that thrill..! Roger Waters is great!!!
I don't know if it's because of the stress of the last couple of months, teaching kids through a screen thanks to the pandemic, but I'm crying so hard right now :/
I'd love to see Roger again :( This record means so much to me ♡
hope you're doing better :)
I felt the same watching my son lose contact with his classmates doing everything in his room alone...
Roger is a new brick in the wall and it is very sad. 😢
Just so unbelievably happy I was there. It was truly a dream come true. An evening never to forget. Thank you Roger Waters X.
Beautiful.
Pink Floyd was the greatest with Waters and Gilmour together
I've been listening to this song since I was seven years old...and still listening and loving it 41 years later.....good music cannot go out of fashion!!!
Roger Waters is the greatest musician and a greatest artist personality. in the modern world.
I saw the show in Peru, such a beautiful experience that I will never forget. Thanks Roger for waiting 28 years for me until the day I finally got to see you live.
5:14 that priceless moment
Even after all these years, the man can still put on a damn good show
When I was a teenager in the 70s I listened to Pink Floyd, and a lot of other bands. But Pink Floyd has saying power. Its great music for older and more sophisticated tastes too. It has a real message that is delivered in an aesthetically relevant manner.
The original was a brilliant piece of music - this rendition polishes it to a diamond. Tremendous imagery and stage craft - this is a show I would love to see live.
Always get goosebumps with these 3 tunes playing in a row. Weather its on Rogers tours, or the original album with the rest of Pink Floyd. Its freaking awesome!!
Soul of freedom
The music world would be dimmer and dumber without Roger Waters, wouldn't it?
It would certainly be less pretentious. But really I can't give Mr. Waters enough praise for what he's done and is doing for music
@@maxineoneillbananapeel but without Roger, Pink Floyd wouldn't exist
Yeah... without any truth spills
@@maxineoneillbananapeel I think with the amount of skill, experience Roger has, he's aloud to be somewhat pretentious.
Name a better duo than Waters and his concept album
You can't, they're inseparable
Dear Roger Thank you very much.. You are a real idol. We are proud of you … You have reached out to people with disabilities and created a perception. Greetings from Turkey … Thank you very much🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

@@bartholomew1613 For the physical product, Roger's website has a release date of Sept 20, 2020 while Amazon has a release date of October 2, 2020. There is no mention of a physical 4K Blu-Ray release, but a digital 4K is mentioned on the SDE website and is now available. www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/roger-waters-us-them-tour-film-comes-to-physical-formats/
lav火山 just found out it’s out on the 2nd October on Blu-ray but nothing about 4K yet. Also cd and LP same day. Nice.
Roger Waters is Pink Floyd ... it's always been his voice and his vision. ... 🌹❤🌹
Greatest preference, Roger absolutely amazing! Keep it up, stay safe!!!
Greetings to heaven! hahaha
Yay Rick!
just bought a couple tickets to the 9/23/22 show. I saw Roger Waters about 30 years ago performing with Eric Clapton and now I get to bring my 14 year old son. I can't wait.
Happy 80th Birthday Roger Waters.
Here in Brazil, in 2018, my eyes were happy to see a septuagenarian gentleman show that we still have to fight for a better world. Thank you, Mr Waters
Never listened to you solo Roger. The Wall was so good, I thought it inseparable from the name Pink Floyd. Well, it's you who are inseparable. Love this video so much; ALL becoming FIRE for the Cause!
Have you watched his a Wall tour concert film? It’s from his previous tour in 2010-2013. One of the highest grossing solo tours of all time. The production is absolutely incredible. Everything he does is incredible.
@@kmanek1 I'll make sure to catch that, thank you.
This never gets old. Best thing that happened to me was that when I was nine years old (1993), my father played me some of his favorite records and there where couple of classics from Pink Floyd. I never forget that moment when these songs bursted out of those speakers. In that day, I found my religion and that was music.
I still can't believe I saw this live. Even in my wonder dreams of childhood I wouldn't imagine. Was awesome. Thx Roger, you are the Bertrand Russel of our time: Philosopher, protesror, poet and hero.
Did anyone hear the bass line at minute 4:00 ?? Waters Magic .
The Legend That Is Roger Waters .
