Did we all understood what Roger has told us in this masterpiece?!? I say this as a Bavarian who have seen him in Munic on 21 May. Many of us had tears in our eyes... Shame to all of who discredit this fighter for all the abandon humans! (sorry for my bad english...)
Yeah me and my best friend for over 40 years were in Glasgow last June 2023 and I had tears streaming down my face & when I turned to look at my m8 he was in floods of tears. Without him knowing I was crying. The 2 of us just gave each other a hug and there’s no need for words as he knew what I was feeling and I could feel his pain through the same song. Absolutely incredible. ✌️😢
Das sehe ich genauso. Es ist mir unverständlich, wie RW in Deutschland von offizieller Seite so behandelt werden durfte. Das hatten wir schon mehrfach in der Geschichte. Leider. @EmptySpaces ... Thanks for sharing❤
Great lyrics. It is just more proof that Roger was the soul of Pink Floyd. He is authentic and genuine. The years have really separated the wheat from the chaff. Most of my idols proved to be cardboard cut-outs, fakes, and sell outs. Roger never lost his beautiful soul. A man on a mission. The muses are with him still. He's THE REAL DEAL.
Now this is Pink Floyd I love so much. I couldn't cry since I was 17 and I'm 44 now but this songs brings me as close to it as possible. You are unique and amazing person artist musician and poet Roger.
Yeah. I was with you on Friday 02/06/23 in Glasgow. I was in tears a few times during Deja vu & the bar. It’s such an amazing experience That gets you straight into the heart. It’s such an emotional journey the whole show is just an epic experience and only Roger has that ability to make us all feel nostalgic with his awesome song writing. Backed up with amazing musicians the whole show is just incredible. 🐖☝️
Me too. Prague, May 24, 2023. Fare thee well, Mr. George Roger Waters. You've accompanied me throughout my life. Thanks for this song that sprung from your heart. Like your other ones. Thank you, dear man. Thank you.

I feel like as personal and authentic as Roger has always been, this piece and his forthcoming new album, may be the most to the centre of his heart he's ever done...they feel like a final piece of his artistry, like he's wrapping up his story and our story in song...With Roger at 80, that be the case...one last time reminding us all and don't you forget it, that he's one of the greatest living songwriters and remains so...
Damn. This kinda stuff just solidifies Rog as one of my favorite songwriters ever. The part about his little brother being spared of the memories of their dad was so heavy. I love Pink Floyd and do still hold the post Waters albums dear to my heart, but Rog really was the soul and heart of the band imo.
i watched this concert sitting next to someone i was madly in love with, that was the first time we held hands, to the sound of the second part of this song. That was one of the happiest moments of my life, everything felt like a movie. I'm not someone who cries often, but when I felt her fingers circling around my arm and her head resting on my shoulder, I couldn't help but shed a tear. Our love didn't last long, we both made mistakes and learned from them. This is the first time i hear this since she left, and I realize that even though I dated girls before and after we dated, I've never loved anyone as much as I loved her.
Ahh me too, it was insanely good wasn't it! So good I had to buy a ticket for this Saturday in Manchester. Had money been no object, would have went to every single one of them!
I will be there too! Cannot wait, saw him in Glasgow with my mum last week and it was easily the most incredible thing I have seen in 10 years, since the last time I saw him playing The Wall at the M.E.N. So emotional and powerful. Only me going on Saturday as unfortunately my mum couldn't make it. Cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to see him again in a few days time! Hope you have a blast at the show! Treasure the memories, it's lovely to hear you are taking your son! My Mum and Grandad got me into Floyd as a young kid and I have carried such a great love for their music, especially Rog, through the years with me, now 31, but I remember being a little lad at 9 years old and being just mesmerised and blown away by Roger's in the flesh tour back in 2001. It's made my life that I've gotten to see him multiple times live and in the flesh! Can hand on heart say I have fulfilled my childhood dreams!!

Does everybody in the bar fell pain?
Yeah, sure they do.
Does everybody in the bar a little maimed?

Bought into the carpetbeggar's lies
Now we're hanging on this cross

I guess we all feel pretty much the same
Kind of wore out by this crazy fucking zoo
The smell of napalm, with cornflakes
The chafe of killing everything that breathes
Imposing sanctions on the lady down the street
'Til she takes the hint, and packs her bags, and leaves
Come on in here, sister, and sit a spell
You are most welcome in the bar
We may seem few, but we are many
Have you been travelling far?
The girl who brought you in here is Lakota
From Standing Rock, where they made their stand

When I was born my brother used to sit
On my daddy's lap when he was home on leave
Daddy'd smoke a cigarette
And sometimes as a jest
He'd blow smoke-rings up my big brother's sleeve
More fire daddy, my big brother would shout
At least that's story survived
I was mercifully spared
The memories that they shared
Cause I was only five months old when daddy died
Gonna call up a friend in Australia
And order in some bush tucker snacks
And dance here with you to the didgeridoo
And listen while you sing me all the maps
Is that a foghorn in the distance
Are we heading for the rocks
Come sit here by the fireside and hold me in your arms
And tell me, how was life before the cops
