If the whoop wasn't so ridiculously overpriced I'd probably have had one for years! Just can't justify it when I can buy a Garmin band for £80 and get all the same data for free forever.

Super duper helpful video as I try to figure out how to best spend my $1400 fitness equipment reimbursement and $200 sitting in my HSA, definitely most interested in the circadian rhythm devices.
bro that garmin watch is more than a little more than the competition. its almost 1k. and i saw another guy who tracks watches accuracy of heart rate monitors against a polar chest strap and garmin is nowhere near the top for heart rate accuracy. not to mention sleep accuracy as well
@@ashilsalim409 technically apple watch, but thats an apple product so, like, ew. i think iirc the best android heart rate accurate watch is the pixel watch 2. the channel "The Quantified Scientist" does alot of good testing for heartrate and sleep accuracy and pixel 2 is the best andrioid one from his tests so far
I have the Garmin Fenix 7 pro, it's the MIP display the version of the Epic. Excellent watch and I will never go back to a traditional smartwatch that only gets one or two days of battery life
@@superiortoall22 It can receive notifications, receive and send text messages, emails, access ur calendar and display, control the sound and media on ur phone, snooze alarms. The only thing it can't do is make make phone calls on the watch, control ur camera and take pics, change ear buds settings. I'm not sure how much smarter it could be, no it's not a phone on ur wrist, it's an extremely capable smart watch that is also an excellent fitness tracker that gets 2 weeks of battery life. It's all 99% of people will ever need, too many people get suckered into buying an apple watch or Samsung watch because of the "ecosystem" they're really just buying an inferior product. But hey if you don't do fitness and don't mind charging ur watch everyday, go for it. Not trying to sound harsh. I had a Samsung Watch 4, it was kind of cool to be able to change the ambient noise settings on the watch, and being able to respond to text messages via voice, that is literally the only thing I miss about that watch.

I appreciate the honesty especially with 8-Sleep. Was really looking into a smart Thermostat!

Well the Garmin is a fitness tracker, not a smartwatch. It can't do as much.

What air quality meter do you use or recommend?
You did mention a while back that the Charge 6 was your most recommended wearable in 2024 for fitness 😐
