We don't see triple battles since gen 5, and in swsh there are a ton of gen 5 mons and some gmax forms. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw bw3 soon

Gen 5 has a special place in my heart.
Bruh pokemon Black was my first main Pokémon game (my first was actually rescue team blue) and I’m not lying when I say I played that game to oblivion. I had shinies from every region, all the legendaries from every region, AND completed the pokedex while only using the GTS like once and that was for my last pokemon. It’s not working any more because the chip was near water and I didn’t know about the rice trick. I’m so sad because of that.
I miss when Pokemon stories had so much effort in world building and compelling theories.
Now theory exists because the stories are badly told and people need to fill the holes.
Like, what is Eternatus? The game never really explained.

When the 5th Gen Pokémon games are able to give even simple Team Plasma Grunts personality and character. I haven’t seen this in other games.

It is sad, but B2W2 did come about the end of the DS life cycle and followed up the controversial BW. Even though GenV was amazing overall, it had a lot of things stacked against it. Maybe if it sold well modern Pokémon games wouldn’t have continued to handhold players through their journeys.

From the plot and storyline, to the new features it introduced like reusable TMs, seasonal changes and new battle mechanics, the music, iconic locations, and best of all, some of the most well-written characters in pokemon, *Black and White* would forever remain the best Pokémon games in my opinion
High up there I only played a few of them and this is really good but if it could change one thing is that the Pokémon in this generation were kinda weak

Oh man, the last story of the 3 gym leaders might be the saddest gym leader story in the entire series. I miss having some depth to the characters.

When people criticize Gen 5, they usually focus only on some pokemons looking like ice-cream, garbage and construction workers. I bet they actually never played the Gen 5 games. Everyone who has played the games appreciates the storyline, characters and features. Also, Gen 5 gave us a lot of cool pokemons like Volcarona, Hydreigon, Galvantula, Keldeo and Genesect.
Hydreigon is my favourite Pokemon and Volcarona is also up there with my all time favourites, and I don’t even think that the people who criticise gen 5 have even PLAYED the games.

ultimate Recoil You could just enter it into a selection screen. Or you know, it does save all information to your sd card, so it realistically could’ve been extracted from there. Yes I know that requires a lot of work and still would have issues but it’s one thing that would work.

These flashbacks feel like Pokémon Generations episodes, just a little.
I never watch it tbh, but I think it has that same feels from the manga.
My problem with generations was how short the episodes were
they could have made hour long episodes with 100 of them per generation, could have even sold them as part of a ripoff subscription, but they still would have sold for good content

rartin that poses the issue of how will the game know what the name of your black 1 white 1 character without connecting to it. As well as knowing what starter you chose for black 1 white 1 so when cherry uses his old team he uses his old starter
rartin what would be ideal is if in a possible remake ( that doesn’t gut the best features of the region like hoeen remakes and battle frontier) is if the game console detects game data of black white one it would then let you transfer that data if you choose. Then add a fight with your main character from the first game’s team into pwt like everyone wanted in two

I never did used to like Black/White that much as a kid when I first played this game, I'll admit that. I was all in it for the battles and the training and the winning.
Coming back to this as an adult, I can really see the gem that it is now, and its astounding that it's nearly a decade old. Where are these dev's at? We need more of this with our older characters.

Even though it may be lacking something, it's still much better mechanic wise than the first few generations and their illogical way of constructing the pokémon themselves.
I really can't forget the fact that there were pokémon that became useless because of the way of distributing stats or movesets (like the Voltorb with no electric moves)

Alder was the only champion the entered and left differently before. He became champ because the league asked him. He didn’t beat the four he was such a good trainer that they asked him.he left because he wanted to help out the region.that shows alder’s true character and that’s why he’s best champ in my book.

Nah, there really is nowhere the story can progress from here. I just want a gen 5 redux where it's both games combined (when you beat the champion of the first, you start up as the second). Then, where ghetsis would have had black / white kyurem, it's ultimate kyurem. Queue up raid boss style battle where you and your old self now 2v1 the ultimate kyurem as if it was eternamax. Then, have free trading between the two main characters, and there you have an awesome gen 5 sequel.

Fun Fact in BW2 we were supposed to battle the former protagonist in the regular Black and White games based of which gender you choose in BW2 but the creators scratched that idea out for some reason.. that’s why there’s a whole plot about your mom in BW2 knowing the mom of (Hilda/Hilbert) the protagonist in Black and White.

Bianca had trouble getting her pokeball out of her bag in B/W and proceeds to give starter pokemons to us in B2/W2, and so far there are only 2 games with actual sequels (Pokemon R/B or FR/LG -> G/S or HG/SS, and B/W -> B2/W2)
A lot of people appreciate Gen 5 because its prequel & sequel are in the same gen, and also the fact that it has quite an assortment of interesting characters

Such a beautiful and detailed story with even more detailed flashbacks that are quite interesting and enlightening
There is so much character development in those characters... That's so great. In the other games, team admins and Gym Leaders, as well as the Elite Four, feel so bland and uninteresting... With those flashbacks, you understand everything in those BW1 and BW2 Games.
Is it just me. Or i would want an HeartGold SoulSilver remake of a remake. 2ds but with sprites like in Black and White 2. Because its legitibly has one of the best sprites.

Black and White where the peak of development in the franchise. Good history, great difficult, good characters and a truly evil team with original ideas.
I never forget how connected to my team I felt when N told me "He said he liked you, he said he wanted to be with you", truly a great game with a wonderful message.

Hunnterh While people predict B3W3, I would rather actually have a remake and reimagine the story in a newer direction. After all, we are still in the “Mega” universe and things could become drastically different with those implications. But really, I want the Dream World explored more.

i played gen 5 and did all this stuff as a kid and just found my old save file and played the game all over again and going back and watching all the things possible in this game…the nostalgia brings a tear to my eye
The memory links were the absolute best parts of these games imo. Every single one had me squealing like a little kid or bawling my eyes on out. Especially when you can battle Bianca and Cheren with their BW original teams. THAT was epic.

I love these cutscenes they were such an underrated part of the series and i wish they would bring them back. These games really did an amazing job at flushing out the backstory to characters you didn't even know you had a deep backstory. The music and the stories show that despite what team plasma did during the events of B/W it still affected everyone and really made people think and change themselves. I've said it once and I'll say it a million times, Gen 5 had the best games of the series by far.

I know i am probably over analyzing but for me two brothers of unova represents plato and aristotle as one was realist(truth) and other one was idealist(ideal), which as respectively represented by two parts of same coin, the empty husk of kyurem was meant to represent the chaos, the lack of order, order which is created by the merger of truth and ideal

The way how BW and B2W2 had good story's and flashback memories the characters has is one reason why Gen 5 Unova is my personal favorite.

But I must admit this was the peak of Pokémon
this will forever be my fave gen of pokémon

And this is why BW/BW2 are my favorite Pokémon games. Sadly, this doesn’t seem like it will change for a long time.
I'm glad my brother let me borrow his Nintendo a couple of months ago so that I can equip the memory link to this game. It brings out the best in gen 5.

I literally haven’t seen these since I last played them which was the same year the game released, and I forgot how great the characters was. Iris backstory is interesting, and and her character seems great

Team Plasma always reminds me of PETA who became really active against Pokemon around the same time when BW was released. They also made such a mock game where you free Pokemon (iirc). Kind of funny that Nintendo had made PETA antagonists in BW, let it be coincidentally.

I love how Team Plasma had genuinely good people in their ranks. People who believed in saving Pokémon, people who put Pokémon before anything else, people who followed Ghetsis’s lies. It’s heartbreaking, but beautiful to see them now take a stand for what is truly right.
