Man team flare could have been so cool if they cared enough about the story. Most of the flare admins literally are nothing characters. It would've been cool if flare was a team so integrated into society that you couldn't tell the difference between your average person and a flare member. The admins being notable people youve met throughout the kalos region and stuff.
The balance between which trainers had full intros and which didn't was really weird in X and Y, and only a slight bit better in ORAS Sun & Moon/Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon I feel had the best balance prior to Sword & Shield
it really was strange how the generic Team Flare Grunts & Admins got their own fully expressive 3D models, but none of the gym leaders, Elite 4 or even Diantha had their own models... it was an off choice for sure
X and Y just screams “rushed game” to me. It was a miracle that the game actually ran pretty well on the console. If only they took the time on the game, i believe it really could have rivaled platinum/emerald/bwb2w2 with the innovative graphics and the mega evolutions. XY was still loads of fun imo and it doesnt get the fanfare it deserves. SM and USUM was pretty good and I enjoyed it tho.

this, the dev team put more effort into Sun & Moon compared to the other 3DS titles. (mainly because X/Y is their first 3DS game) if only they would put this much effort into base SwSh. But hey at least the DLC is looking nice.

Every Pokémon game has charm, especially the 3D ones. Team Flare’s members having threatening animations at the beginning of the battle with shocked or angry animations at the end, Brendan hyping himself up for battle and then grinning sheepishly at the end to cover up his disappointment from losing, Hau warming up before battle, Team Skull’s grunts dancing as they give their Pokémon commands, Hala laughing as you beat him to show that he is proud you won, Milo patting his Pokémon before Dynamaxing it, Raihan taking a selfie before he Dynamaxes his Pokémon for his fans, and MARNIE USING HER FINGERS TO SMILE!!! These games have just as much if not more charm than the 2D games.
I just LOVE how in gen 6 and 7 trainers have different keystones. The XY protagonists have a black bracalet, the ORAS ones a white one, Sina and Dexio one that looks like Calem and Serena one but is white, Steven Stone has a little jewel, Maxie has a keystone in his glasses, and so on.
Same I honestly love that kind of detail and I wished that there would have been ways to have customized what your keystone was in, maybe next time on a remake or a game that brings back megas
@Ollie Haze ever heard "Silcence is Golden" ? and usually, people who pissed of by something they can't achieve is often called childish and tbh, Ghetsis is kind of selfish too, he is the worst villain boss ever in my opinion (if you're talking about Ghetsis in his character lore-wise) both Ghetsis and Cyrus never redeemed on their action in the story, but Cyrus's goal is quite understandable, and his followers even follow his order naturally, but Ghetsis? not only he manipulated N and use Seven Sages as his pion, he also recuit Colress to act as his thrump card, and both version of Plasma grunts are brainwashed to follow their action
I'm legit not kidding. I almost cried 6 or 7 times watching through the entirety of this. Ladies and gents, this was our childhood and probably our fondest memories. In the end I actually shed a single tear, I'm not proud but I guess it was an emotion wanting to be expressed. So glad I was allowed to grow up with this, truly the greatest fandom to ever be created.
Pokémon Trainer Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno, 3 of the worst “rivals” in Pokémon history, get an expressive 3D battle model. None of the members of the Kalos Pokémon League, not even the CHAMPION, get a 3D battle model.

I dont wanna be that guy but I actually miss the Sun and moon anime. No joke. For some reason when I see the first Sun and moon anime intro I get nostalgic for some reason. I wanna go back in time and watch the entire series when it first released. And go back when x and y anime started.
Sun and Moon anime was really good! But I'll never forgive the English team for not running the Japanese openings and wasting all the pretty animation and slammin music
The music was very good, and there were some great episodes, although I really would have preferred that Ash won a league at Kalos and then changed his goal at Alola.
@@KazuhaEien Keep in mind that him winning the Alola league makes the most sense since the league was just established and anyone could join. As impressive as that may seem Alola doesn't have a lot of talented trainers. Gladion was without question the best trainer next to Kukui. From what I heard from X and Y fans, if Ash couldn't use either his Pikachu or his Greninja the rest of his team in X and Y just wouldn't have been able to keep up. The only questionable pokemon on his team in Sun and Moon was Rowlet but they really wanted to show the importance of a pokemons power not being limited by its evolution.
You know how BW2 is the last hurrah for the DS by adding animations to all the trainer sprites, and giving us the PWT, I feel like USUM is the last hurrah for the 3DS by adding animated 3D models to all trainers, polished up the defeat animation, and giving us Team RR.
When I saw Ryuki (17:25),I remember myself like "who the f*** is that?!" but I think he's not too bad actually. Nice cosplay costume and a Garchomp is a nice step for making a good trainer
If the worst rivals in the series Trevor and tierno could have their own battle animation, the gym leaders and league members should’ve had them too🤦♂️
Thank you for not including shauna because as much as she sucked battle wise, she did have a personality and charm to her. I love watching the fireworks with her at the mansjon...its so wholesome.
@Roger Loe I guess hoenn has an excuse for having barely any rival battles, you never even see Brendan/May with their full evolved team, but at least you get to se Wally with one before the league, I think.
I like how the USUM Archie and Maxie battles used 3D renditions of their old models and not the newer ORAS ones. Then again old Maxie’s face still scares me.
for the qotd, my favorite animation is definitely kukui’s from the player’s first title defense. ^_^ bc i remember being kinda emotional during that battle lol. the song that played made me realize how much i appreciate pokemon for being a part of my life for so long. 💕

Every Pokémon game has charm, especially the 3D ones. Team Flare’s members having threatening animations at the beginning of the battle with shocked or angry animations at the end, Brendan hyping himself up for battle and then grinning sheepishly at the end to cover up his disappointment from losing, Hau warming up before battle, Team Skull’s grunts dancing as they give their Pokémon commands, Hala laughing as you beat him to show that he is proud you won, Milo patting his Pokémon before Dynamaxing it, Raihan taking a selfie before he Dynamaxes his Pokémon for his fans, and MARNIE USING HER FINGERS TO SMILE!!! These games have just as much if not more charm than the 2D games.
Honestly I played almost all games, with exceptions of XY, ORAS, and SWSH and I have to say that every game has some charm in some way, even SWSH
I can give credit to Gen 7 but Gen 6.......eugh!
I just LOVE how in gen 6 and 7 trainers have different keystones.
The XY protagonists have a black bracalet, the ORAS ones a white one, Sina and Dexio one that looks like Calem and Serena one but is white, Steven Stone has a little jewel, Maxie has a keystone in his glasses, and so on.
Same I honestly love that kind of detail and I wished that there would have been ways to have customized what your keystone was in, maybe next time on a remake or a game that brings back megas

I dont wanna be that guy but I actually miss the Sun and moon anime. No joke. For some reason when I see the first Sun and moon anime intro I get nostalgic for some reason. I wanna go back in time and watch the entire series when it first released. And go back when x and y anime started.

The music was very good, and there were some great episodes, although I really would have preferred that Ash won a league at Kalos and then changed his goal at Alola.
@@KazuhaEien Keep in mind that him winning the Alola league makes the most sense since the league was just established and anyone could join. As impressive as that may seem Alola doesn't have a lot of talented trainers. Gladion was without question the best trainer next to Kukui. From what I heard from X and Y fans, if Ash couldn't use either his Pikachu or his Greninja the rest of his team in X and Y just wouldn't have been able to keep up. The only questionable pokemon on his team in Sun and Moon was Rowlet but they really wanted to show the importance of a pokemons power not being limited by its evolution.

You know how BW2 is the last hurrah for the DS by adding animations to all the trainer sprites, and giving us the PWT, I feel like USUM is the last hurrah for the 3DS by adding animated 3D models to all trainers, polished up the defeat animation, and giving us Team RR.
When I saw Ryuki (17:25),I remember myself like "who the f*** is that?!" but I think he's not too bad actually. Nice cosplay costume and a Garchomp is a nice step for making a good trainer

Setsuna ik, you only battled them like 3 times, I think to qualify as a rival you have to fight them at least 4 or 5 times through out the game
Thank you for not including shauna because as much as she sucked battle wise, she did have a personality and charm to her. I love watching the fireworks with her at the mansjon...its so wholesome.
@Roger Loe I guess hoenn has an excuse for having barely any rival battles, you never even see Brendan/May with their full evolved team, but at least you get to se Wally with one before the league, I think.
