Meh gen 3 was more epic cause it was the start of the serious cutscenes..You would never wait a cutscene in a pokemon game and then the rayquaza cutscene just hit us in the face

Gen 4 (particularly the Arceus and Giratina cutscenes) just has this certain foreboding and intimidating presence to it. It really captures what they represent, which is being supreme deities over all creation.

The intention behind that is that Arceus is physically destroying and recreating the universe - the only difference being the egg that sits before you at its rebirth.
I personally like the Ho-Oh one the most, it shows how tranquil and beautiful it is while hiding the fact that it’s insanely strong

Matter of opinion. Dialga and Palkia+Giratina were better for me. Conceptually and in practice. Those two are just not as impressive as the gods of time, space, and literal pokemon hell.

Watching the Gen V cutscenes reminded me that they left me wanting to meet the Original Dragon. Why did they had to hype it and then leave us with an incomplete Kyurem?
It's based on yin, yang & the abyss. I guess it's sorta the metaphor on why it left.
Another reason, I can see if they want to reveal the original dragon in a Gen 5 remake. I guess they wanted to leave us in suspense until they ultimatily reveal it.

Gen 5 games are too powerful for the Nintendo DS console.

HGSS, BW, and B2W2 will always be my favourite. They just give me a sense of nostalgia that nothing else does. I feel like the 3D games were dumbed down, and nothing has emotion.

Giratina appearing is the best cutscene and the distortion world is the best area. why can’t we get something like this again? Can’t wait for the remake, hopefully it’s either just as cool or cooler.

These have so much more impact to me than the 3D games. They all seem individually special and terrifying or curious, and the music is _amazing._ It just totally hypes you up.
I don't know why the later games don't seem to have this. X and Y got it a little, but after that it just seems.. ineffectual. All the music in the games is too smooth, most if not all of it uses the same instruments and it gets super boring.

I still remember how nervous I was seeing N revive the first dragon and I thought I’d have to battle without the other legendary. And the cutscene introducing the second one allowing you to catch it, felt like my proudest moment of the game.
I own White (still have yet to play Black) so I hugely loved Zekrom and it still is my favorite legendary of the region
I freaking SCREAMED when Giratina appeared. Literally it's one of the creepiest things that happens in Pokemon and one of the creepiest jumpscares I ever seen.

When I saw the Rayquaza coming out of the sky cut scene for the very first time I remember resetting the game over and over just to see it so many times cause it was so Amazing and Badass. I grew up playing Diamond. I remember when I first saw the Dialga cutscene, I was so scared that if would destroy the world that I actually cried and refused to watch the rest of the cutscene.

My first game was Pearl in 2008 ( I was introduced to the series at 16).
I was six when I first played my first Pokémon game, that being platinum. I’m seventeen now and have nothing but good memories for the game. Giratina had some of the most ambitious animation for its time imo. Though I remember looking at the opening loop for soul silver of lugia swimming and thinking it was revolutionary lol. It blew my mind for what pokemon games could look like and just set the stage for the rest of the story.
The Azure Flute made the noise from the beginning of the game! I never knew that!
