Top notch job again. 👏. I've just done a boot that was reversed into a lamp-post took me two days 😅 was pretty folded up though. Don't think I'll be quick to take another one of them on again in a hurry working as a smart repair on a drive way.

Great videos!!. How would you blend paint and clear up to a body line? I guess the question is: how do you end base and clear at the body style line and then wet sand? Wouldn't there be a suttle line as the paint and clear end at the same point?
Well you want to do something like that with a panel that has a sharp body-line to roll the tape off of. That way the edge of the clear isn’t very visible. Another thing is that you shouldn’t have to sand and polish a repair like that. And if you do have to sand and polish it I wouldn’t sand and polish where the edge of the clear was taped.

@@J.Lulo_ Thank you for the reply. Yeah, my skills with spraying clear, even after doing it many many times, is not that good. Always a lot of orange peel. I always find that I have to sand and polish. I will try your method of spraying clear and see if I can get a smoother finish. Thanks again. And I look forward to watching your videos!!

Most tell me primer should always be allowed a day to cure/vent before painting over to prevent solvent pops. I rushed into them myself,,, Obviously not always the case. What is your trick/thoughts ?
I agree 💯 percent on letting the primer cure properly over night and then painting it. But sometimes the customer wants the car the same day so you do what you have to do. Because we have a baking cycle in our booth I can primer the car put it to bake let it cool off and then sand and paint the same day. I also use a fast hardener in the primer and add a little bit of accelerator so it cures faster.
