A glimpse of the newly built Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport
The recently constructed Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI) will be opened officially on Oct. 16, replacing the Siem Reap International Airport near Angkor Wat.
Situated about 51 kilometers east of Siem Reap city in South Nikom district, construction began in March 2020 with a budget of $880 million.
The new airport has 38 gates with a runway about 3,600 meters long and 45 meters wide. It will be able to handle seven million visitors per year.
