Doctor. Can you suggest list of moisturiser water based which is suitable for people with active acne. I am now currenly using the ordinary based on your suggestion and my skin are doing well, but when I am using Cerave, I feel like it's a bit too oily to my skin and my skin feels irritated. Thank you so much. Your reply would make me very very happy :)

I’ve combo skin, more on the oily sensitive acne prone side and large pores.. I’ve been using niacinamide for a few years now from the ordinary and the inkey list.. The country I live in, we are now slowly starting to get products available here.. but the high end ones are almost double the price compared to the USA.. So I want to stick to more reasonable brands.. I’ve been using youth to the people cleanser and moisturizer and serum for few yrs and I really did enjoy it.. but now that the ordinary and the inkey list is easily available I’m going for those brands now.. aha bha stopped using it, it irritates my skin on and off.. I’m using on and off salcylic acid cleanser 2-3 times a week coz I already use SA Mask do I don’t want to over use it.. lactic acid dies irritate my skin a lil bit so I’ve stopped using it for now.. I started using alpha arbutin recently and every time I apply it I love my skin but recently I noticed that the one I use have oxidized.. since I’m using acids, I try to use more of less irritating cleanser and moisturizer, the squalene one.. now i want to introduce 0.5 retinol or granactive retinolid and azelic acid in my skincare routine( ofcourse now all together) l.. can you guide me which one should I start 1st and which one is better

I'd love a video on a minimal(simple) skincare routine for hyperpigmentation. Many of your videos have a 6 layer process for hyperpigmentation but I also hear you share by the 3rd layer there is minimal penetration. Love a video on what would be a simple routine with one cleanser one moisturizer and one active...! Thanks! My head is spinning with all these layers and It is just not realistic for me to use all these products. Many thanks

The best serum that I used and still use for hyperpigmentation is the Tiam 10% Niacinamide and 2% Arbutin. It's a holy grail and a lot of people commented on my skin after 2-3 months of using it. It's 40ml so it can last for up to 5 months. Korean skincare is quite underrated.

Great video, thank you for sharing the tips! I have questions:
    1. Can I use retinol after applying BHA toner?
    2. What other products (serums) do you recommend to layer with after applying retinol?
    3. Can you do a video on your skincare routine using retinol?

No don’t use retinol with any bha or aha at the same time!! And nicanamide is a good ingredient as it is compatible with pretty much everything and it’s hydrating so use it first then apply retinol x

Hi Dr V, just came across your channel and is thinking about introducing vitamins a and c. Just started my skin regiment, I know right “why did I wait for soooooo long”. I always used spf though but hardly reapply through out the day😱 I can say this is the first time I go all out and follow a skin routine. I’m using the la mer brightening range and loving it. I hardly put on makeup as I like the natural look and recently loving the dewy look. I’m am 43 today and want to make sure I keep my skin hydrated for winter (FYI I’m in South Africa). Please make a video regarding la mer skin care for both morning and night including vitamin A and C with my routine 🎀💕

Hi DrV! I am a relatively new follower of your videos and am absolutely loving learning from you.
My question about retinol and is that you never mention tretinoin- why is that? I know that it’s a much stronger retinoid and it may not suit everyone but I for one would like to try it out.
