An increase in cell proliferation is basically synonymous with an increased risk of cancer... Given the absence of long-term human studies, I'm wondering if there is any theoretical knowledge or insights you might have about this subject. I've recently started using these agents, and with a family history of cancer on both sides, I'm feeling apprehensive. Your perspective would be greatly appreciated.
For hyperpigmentation, I prefer the discolouration serum from Paula's choice. it contains niacinamide, tranexamic acid and bakuchiol and do work on skin for dark spots.
Paula's choice recently launched a Vitamin C product targeting hyperpigmentation. It has 30% Vitamin C including Tetrahexadecyl ascorbate and Ascorbyl glucoside. I think Dr V will love it. They also have a discoloration product with Tranexemic acid which is also well formulated.

It's got no icky ingredients, such as perfumes or drying alcohols. Have extremely dry and sensitive skin, and have been using this as night for about a year now. So far, it's the only product from that particular brand that doesn't contain the 'bad' ingredients. 🤗

Bc hydroquinone unfortunately causes rebound hyperpigmentation. I have suffered with years not knowing this and being prescribed it by one inexperienced derms with brown skin.
Use a Retinoid, sunscreen reapplied throughout the day (sunscreen powder is good) and microneedling if you can can (it’s the only thing that took away all the darkness)
