@@EBKnispel another specialist that's a good idea to use is Irish as his shoot down sentinel is super effective against pretty much every explosive infantry can throw at you
Something worth noting, play irish as your specalist, if you are being targeted by a jet, you can drop a trophey system and it explodes the AGM's. Also works well if you just wanna camp somewhere as a wildcat.
i thought this was a good idea at 1st but you can achieve the same result by jumping out of the vehicle breaking the lock. and does not have an ammo supply. its worthy choice but i feel piak, sundance and others you can use as well. all comes down to your personal choice what you need.
Very detailed mate. Good job. Wildcat is definitely jack of all trades. Heatseekers being broken still is my choice of secondary, 57mm does enough damage to not need anti tank missile. 3 tips I can add, if you have your gunner/passenger on comms or random team player knows what he's doing, when 1 v 1 tanks/wildcat just stay stationary and let him rep you. Repping is stupid fast atm and enemy tank will run out of shells before killing you. Gunner can also run emp nades for closer fights. Ive been using buggies and Bolte mainly and emp nades come in clutch so many times. Last one, use Sundance anti armor nades against harassing choppers. Can scare them off, make them use flares or even kill the really bad pilots. Gunner can throw them between reps in tank battles. Do these nades track drones? Something to test seeing as drones are the best anti armor weapon on the battlefield haha.
The Sundance idea is pretty net, though some chopper pilots are cluing in on the warning from them. EMP is real good for sure! the best part its there is a couple choices i could not narrow down into a video under an hour 😂 and yes, sundances nades track the drone from what iv tested with Fuzzy Just a matter of seen them before its too late given they can fly 200m up in the sky :(
The teams and squads I almost always have to play with are people who will steal my tank the second I leave it or switch the seats, so it's basically a no no for me to do half of the things you've explained. I am completely furious at EA for not making you - the owner of the vehicle, able to take back your own driver seat, it's a extremely obvious thing to do, also they already have the mechanics of it when you have AI with you, so there can't be much work required on it. Since the release of the game I had mechanics only two times for my tank and I've made like 6k tank kills so I've played those quite a few times. When I have gunners they almost never look back and only look where I am already pointing, and me - the driver has to be in charge of constantly peeking back to make sure there is no C5 kys bombers.
Dunno if someone wrote this allready. Unlocking the stuff in "Solo Co-op" mode is Ez Pz. You need to play Breakthrough though, else you only spawn as US. But you can unlock all the Vehicle weapons AND Weapon attachments this way. Getting guaranteed vehicle spawns and 2-300 kills and assists for 15 minutes of gaming is well worth it. Would take ages to unlock everything "legit".
They removed the best thing about tanking in Battlefield. As soon as I logged in and saw a certain word that it was going to be a prominent feature in them lowering the skill ceiling.
Keen to see how the different 3rd seat weapon pods can be utilized, that 60mm mortar sounds like it could have a use chipping away at a tank that has retreated behind small cover if the range isn't too limited.
You don’t like the mortar? I found it’s a one shot on infantry, has amazing range on targets if you know how to use it. And good help when your enemy is hiding behind cover.
This game really has failed to give you any feedback as to what is going on, and honestly it goes a long way to help people improve. The fact this game doesn't give you any of this, is what triggered me to make this video. Glad I can help!
The setting you are looking for is vehicle aim-relative controls at the very bottom of the vehicle tab. So you turret won't follow the way your tank is facing.
Great guide. Very useful info thanx. Wildcat is an optimized Bradley I guess. Better rounds, movement and technology. With the right squad, specialists and strategy, you can absolutely dominate in any situation. Id say its very OP. Lookin forward to more tank and vehicle gameplay. Keep rockin it steady.

I’d love to gun and rep for you some time man, I’m in Melbs so region suitable. I find it decent to go Sundance as well because you can equip the seeking anti armour grenade and pop out of the tank throw one off and jump back in, I’ve won a few 1v1 using that strat. I haven’t tried rao yet but but I think the quick exit and throw the anti armour grenade will work better than hacking because it’s faster. Another thing for anyone having trouble seeing enemies is to use the recon grenade, jump out thrown one where enemies are and make them easier to see while shooting.
Sucks about the angle shots now. Can't help but to run heat shell in breakthrough, can run some big streaks up on them poor infy, but yea mpat is the best. Great video.
One thing I would add if you're the gunner, just two in the tank. Hop on the spotter position and pop the spot thing then back to machine gun (or whatever).
Highly agree. I normally play solo so I designed this based off the solo tanker. But to be honest. I have barely touched as to what is #1 meta for teamwork in the tank cause there are so many good ideas I have seen, or had rare chance to try out. Really existed to do a video on it sometime soon
@@EBKnispel When I play (in this game) we don't really have dedicated tanker or pilot but just naturally gravitate towards things when we get vehicles. Have to say the best things in gaming come with few mates and voice coms to coordinate. Even if the game is shit, you have fun. Maybe even more so.
For those who don’t know, the T-28 is just a T-14 Armata which is a real tank. M1A5 still doesn’t exist. The closest thing you can get to the M1A5 is the Israeli Merkava MBT
It's unsurprising really in previous titles the high velocity armour piercing shells do more damage but require direct hits and the HE ammo does less damage against armour but has splash damage so doesn't need a direct hit. Not sure if the HEAT shells do this in 2042 because I realised quickly MPAT was the way
On the Wildcat, I do very well with the 40mm cannon and with anti air missiles and for when I got a friend in the gunner seat I use 40mm grenade launcher and has been a pretty good combo
Why the heck did they remove angular damage bonuses? I swear every day i discover something stupid that lowers the skill gap. It's genuinely annoys me so much. I f****g hate it
@@EBKnispel my only theory as to why they’ve done this is that ea are so money hungry that in order to keep casuals playing the game, they physically handicap the good players so the casuals don’t feel like crops. It makes sense, cause playing against a good heli/jet pilot or tanker in say bf4 is painful if you don’t know how to deal with them. So to keep them playing they dumbed down every vehicle mechanic and made them so easy to use so the players they want to keep playing will keep playing. But it sucks for us who actually want to master mechanics and become better than the casuals, which for some reason dice don’t agree with considering these changes.
Nice vid :) Personally to get Tier 1 with the Wildcat, I used the 30mm AA guns exclusively, wasn't a fan of running out of ammo/reload time with the 40/57mm... and a bit of burst firing with the 30mm allows you to fire without ever having to cooldown, that paired with the AT missile really was a versatile combo, still could win vs MBTs (needed a little extra thought) and could shred aircraft too... that and remembering that you are not indestructible guiding your movements :D ...I also found the flak weapon pod was pretty good on the wildcat for seat 3, actually does good damage and has a decent rate of fire... might even be the best at shooting down drones? (if you see them)... oh yeah, using the 4th seat to spot enemies was also really useful too, not to mention the proximity sensor ability on that seat to check if people are nearby. As far as specialists went, I used Boris, mostly due to being able to plop a sentry down nearby to cover your back against sneaky infantry :D But yeah, great coverage of all the main points in this vid ^^
LTTP AKA Late to class 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 So my current setup for the MBT is as follows HEAT SHELL | COAX HMG | THERMAL HP | Repair System and I chose the HEAT Shell due to its AOE against infantry but might switch back to the MPAT For Tank battles or jump between both
I have a recommendation for binding your side mouse buttons. What I do is use my mouse software to bind keyboard keys to my side mouse buttons. I personally use F6 and F7 cause they rarely conflict with other bindings but it's personal preference. This completely avoids the issues that some games have with binding side mouse buttons. Hey EB Knispel, I wanted to say thank you for the tips and advice! I was recently able to throw down a 107 kill tank game and I attribute some of my success to you. I’d say that the most important tip that I took away from your videos is to support and fight with your infantry. Or you will die…a lot. You may be a tank, but you’re made of paper in this game. I’d like to post my gameplay as a way to build a tank community here but I wanted to ask your permission first. I’m not in it to build a TH-cam channel just rather add solid tank gameplay based on your tips.

Top vid bro! what do you reckon about the mortar over the kinetic grenades I find that a more skillful player can put in more work with the mortar than kinetic grenade, would you agree?
I personally think the kinetic gl is better in a good majority of scenarios over the mortar. The gl has better range and damage at the lack of precision aiming. But even then the mortar sucks to aim. I really really want to use the mortar though. However, it needs to have its aiming reticle adjusted.
While in a vehicle and you zoom in, you can actually decouple your turret from your hull... just a quick tip :) That's how i always aim, zoomed in and drive around.
problem is, it always wans't like that. shouldn't have to drive in zoom for this. Dice has really harmed the game. Also remember the Zoom bug from BFV STILL is in this game, which has not been fixed since the Alpha of the game.
I’m watching this because i’m confused why I was losing my tank 1v1s. Turns out it was the staff shell that suck at damage. Because I come from games like World of Warships and World of Tanks, and i’m positioning like so.
Great video man! After long time just on foot Ive decided to start using tanks, and boy im sux on it! For some reason my aim is bad I cant find out how to switch off that aiming blue square that follow my turret. Any idea what to do? It seems to shoot in directinon to that blue square and not to where im aiming to.

Good guide. AI servers or solo/coop option makes unlocking everything so fast. not sure if I like that... but what you think about the 60mm mortar option there was barely any mention about it.

I can use some help when ever I use a tank and I stop to fire my tank keeps on driving forwards even though I am not pressing the forward button it always screws up my shoot. How do I fix it it like an assist drive

When in the driver seat and using the zoom on the tank my crosshairs uncontrollably swing about for what appears to be no reason. Why is it doing that?
One thing I think is annoying is when you drive the tank and turn the turret, the tank will change direction with the turret ( while moving ) is this possible to turn of?
Have you tried out the 60mm flak pod much at all? Seemed OK vs infantry to me given its fire rate, haven't had a chance to test if it actually does decent damage against helis at all though.
to be honest not yet, given how the canister shell pod worked i had a feeling might be very useless and had a few friends tell me what seemed to be meta to them. i honestly think at this point ill make a whole video on the pod launchers alone cause there very interesting and could in future add some cool teamwork in feature patches!
@@EBKnispel if you hit tanks on top with the mortar pod it does significant damage. It's probably my favorite anti infantry pod to use when I'm gunning for a friend
Make sure your checking your hud, take notes which flags JUST got capped and imagine if you were thst enemy which flag they go to next and meet them in between there. And when pushing flags with the team, just sit outside the flag and look for people spawning in to defend the flag. Good starting point!
@@EBKnispel Normally I look at what points we don't have and try to push the safest one. Actually attempting to cap with the tank is almost suicidal though. Probably need to change up my way of thinking.

A good specialist for tankers would also be Dozer, because of resistance against explosives, which helps while repairing and getting shot at.

yeah mortar is nasty when you get the distance down. hands down the bestr for mopping whole squads of ground infantry

Wildcat in my opinion is best with the 30mm to shred apart aircraft, anti-tank if its necessary to assist damaging/destroying enemy tanks.

If you zoom in with the tanks, turret aim is decoupled from vehicle movement.

I’m watching this because i’m confused why I was losing my tank 1v1s. Turns out it was the staff shell that suck at damage. Because I come from games like World of Warships and World of Tanks, and i’m positioning like so.

Idk about PC & playstion but on Xbox the tank Don't reverse properly, ive played with the settings its definitely a bug

Great video man! After long time just on foot Ive decided to start using tanks, and boy im sux on it! For some reason my aim is bad I cant find out how to switch off that aiming blue square that follow my turret. Any idea what to do? It seems to shoot in directinon to that blue square and not to where im aiming to.

Good guide. AI servers or solo/coop option makes unlocking everything so fast. not sure if I like that... but what you think about the 60mm mortar option there was barely any mention about it.

Ive been using HEAT shells for infantry. I cant aim quickly and precisely on console with the MPAT shell.
Do what suits you! Would recommend get grinding MPAT though. You can get away with HEAT on breakthrough more though.

How do you make those 6 lines that is on there of the tank?
When in the driver seat and using the zoom on the tank my crosshairs uncontrollably swing about for what appears to be no reason. Why is it doing that?
One thing I think is annoying is when you drive the tank and turn the turret, the tank will change direction with the turret ( while moving ) is this possible to turn of?

Have you tried out the 60mm flak pod much at all? Seemed OK vs infantry to me given its fire rate, haven't had a chance to test if it actually does decent damage against helis at all though.
to be honest not yet, given how the canister shell pod worked i had a feeling might be very useless and had a few friends tell me what seemed to be meta to them. i honestly think at this point ill make a whole video on the pod launchers alone cause there very interesting and could in future add some cool teamwork in feature patches!
@@EBKnispel if you hit tanks on top with the mortar pod it does significant damage. It's probably my favorite anti infantry pod to use when I'm gunning for a friend

Best way to score 42 kills in a match? Best I've managed so far is 37 in Conquest.
Make sure your checking your hud, take notes which flags JUST got capped and imagine if you were thst enemy which flag they go to next and meet them in between there. And when pushing flags with the team, just sit outside the flag and look for people spawning in to defend the flag. Good starting point!
@@EBKnispel Normally I look at what points we don't have and try to push the safest one. Actually attempting to cap with the tank is almost suicidal though. Probably need to change up my way of thinking.
