I used to take NR for acne several years ago, at the recommendation of my dermatologist. It didn't help. I also have been doing intermittent fasting for about 8 years. Nevertheless I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at the age of 36 with fatigue as my biggest complaint. Personally, I feel that taking NR should've alleviated the symptoms I was having in the years before I was formally diagnosed with fibro. I'm not willing to try NR again because it let me down. Lab work shows I have high oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction. I've also tried D-Ribose, NAC, and CoQ10 on and off, and I'm getting nowhere.
@@in2caffeine I started out on 10 but hated the way I felt the next morning. This year I started with 1 mg, and just a couple days ago I started taking 1.5 mg of Life Extension's XR melatonin. I also take a number of prescription medications for sleep and pain.
When taking any medication or supplement, the first question is what are the harms? There doesn’t appear to be anything serious, so far, with NR. Second, are there studies showing reduced heart attacks, neurodegenerative conditions, diabetes, etc in adults taking NR? While NAD may be a widespread chemical throughout and levels decrease over time, does supplementing make an important difference in clinically important disease?
There isn’t a straightforward conversion formula because they serve different biochemical roles in the body. NMN is specifically used as a precursor to NAD+, while niacin directly participates in NAD+ synthesis through different pathways.
Hi there, Arsalan! I have been trying to contact you through your email address regarding some business offer... It seems like the email address is not valid - I would appreciate it if you could share the correct email address with me. Your videos are just great! 🤩
Probably the most thorough breakdown on it’s role on nad and sirtuin activity.
Thank you!
@@ArsalanAspires hi, what about liposomal nr
Excellent lecture - this clears the bad info from previous research about causing cancer.
I prefer Elysium NR because their NR is crystalline. Which means it survives gut acid better.
I use both Niacell400 and ResveraCell
Long C. Why is it censored?

Dr. So during fasting at what time is a good time to take the supplements?
Are you saying NR is superior to NMN for the desired effects, or just more readily available? Does niacin contribute to any of the same benefits?
Niacin and CA-AKG
50 mg of niacin = 1000 mg of NMN

NR is half as effective for me than NAM or NMN.
What NMN do you use?
