I like how the player talks about how hard these clubs are to hit and then goes on to stripe pretty much every swing he takes. 😄I made the mistake of buying a split set of P770s and P7MCs. Love the 7MCs but don't like the feel of the 770s. Was planning on replacing the 770s with 7MCs. During my fitting I hit the 7MBs just for funsies and absolutely LOVED the feel. Ended up buying 6 and 7 iron in the 7MBs and will eventually build out an entire set with the MBs and use my MCs as my secondary set.
Haha on another day I’m sure I’d struggle!
I'm a 9hdcp, I love these clubs. I want feed back to get better rather then muted club feeling.

I agree. I've been a Mizuno fan boy since the mid 90's when I got my first set of MP 14s in high school. I've had MP 33s, MP 4s, and MP 18s and was dead set on getting the 221s a couple months ago but these P7MBs are the most beautiful irons I've ever hit and they feel just as good, if not better, than any blade I've ever hit. Taylormade knows what they're doing and their 2000 ton press lives up to the hype.
bit dramatic, most amatuers can hit blades fine, maybe not a 4 iron but they really aren't all that difficult to hit well

Most people that have never taken lessons by someone that can show you on film and launch monitors exactly what you are doing wrong should probably not use these. You have a good swing and would do well with these. I bought mizuno 923s last fall and took a series of good lessons and can't wait for spring. I was a 12 and hopefully get to mid low hc. Hitting into a net every day.
Blades all day I hate the Gi irons. The lofts are so beefed up it’s awful in the longer irons. And it doesn’t teach you how to feel the middle of the face. That’s why I love blades it will teach you to be consistent impact. control is better to have then just forgiving distance irons.
You can play the MC’s, have the same lofts and gain a bit of forgiveness….
I’ve gone for the MC’s which I’ll combo with my 770’s. I brought a 7 iron MB just for fun on the range and to look at! 😂

I don't know why folk say blades murder your hands if you mishit them. It's no where near as bad as folk on here make out. Decent shaft and grip combo almost nullifies that feeling, and it's only really an issue if you're blading the middle of the ball with the leading edge.
We say it because they butcher your hands when you toe them in the winter…. I’m not lying 😂
im 16 and play blades, i am playing the old tour preferreds from taylormade and i love them but i am looking to upgrade in the next month or so.. i think im going with these bad boys

I grew up hitting blades…Wilson Staff were the bomb back in the day. These new beauties from TM had me salivating a bit so I gave the MCs a try and found they were similar in performance to my T-100s. I will say that I could ‘feel’ the miss in my hands a tad more but the end result was similar. Surprisingly the T100 has a slimmer top line than the MCs. Both felt great. So much incredible equipment options these days. The MCs were beautiful…will try the MBs next. Thx for the video!

I play T100s and they hthe thinnest top line of any iron I've seen on the market in the last couple years. Titleist beveled the top line so the appearance is a bit of an illusion.
Went to a free taylormade fitting today at my local simulator spot. I'm playing off 13 right now and I'm currently gaming my mizuno JPX 921 hot metals (game improvement irons). I'm starting to get to the point where I feel like I'm outgrowing my mizunos and I wanted to try some players irons. Started with the 790s which felt good, but were super juiced. I think the 7 iron I was hitting average 190+ in carry. Then tried the 770s. Also felt pretty good, but was still going pretty far.
Just for shit and giggles, he had me try the MCs. They felt amazing and I was striping them. I loved the look of the smaller head behind the ball and for some reason almost inspired more confidence than my big chunky irons do. I had a lot of time with the TM rep, so he had me try the MBs as well as I was just curious how they felt. And they felt absolutely amazing. I was able to shape shots on demand, hit a few off the toe and a couple thin, but the result wasn't really any worse than my mizunos would have been. And the ball flight was just so much more consistent. A nice high 175-180 carry in the 7i. Exactly what I was looking for. The TM rep said I was hitting the MB's the best and the numbers looked great. He was surprised but said that if I was looking to order clubs that day he'd probably put me in the MB's (probably from PW-7, and maybe go 770's in 6-4).
It was really a pretty unexpected result, and really changed the way I think about bladed irons. Everyone on YT makes them out to be really scary incredibly unforgiving monsters. I did not find that to be the case. Maybe I'd feel different after gaming them for a few months, but I found them to be amazing for the limited time I hit them.
I use to play my Dad's McGregor blades. They are not scary at all. The ball tends to fly lower and straighter. They are actually easier to chip in my opinion. Club up and take an easy swing with blades for a stress free round. A lot of fun. Almost impossible to hit the high ballooning shots so blades are more consistant on windy days.

Not true. He said if you don’t hit it perfect it will batter you. Not the case at all. Probably the most forgiving blade I’ve ever played

How forgiving are they? I’m a scratch golfer just sold my ap2. Considering these bad boy. Should I fear the blades?
@@Bigfarmffs you’ll definitely get to be a better ball striker. When you hit these, they feel like butter. As forgiveness goes, Id say it depends. But you won’t be sorry you play them. I’ll never go back to anything else as these are consistent, and I get crazy spin with them when needed (or unintentionally 😂)
No no Uber traditional lofts from back in the day. PW 50 then 4 deg incremental. So 7 38deg. Lofts started moving in the 90s

I have a set of blades I use for a casual round it helps me become a better ball striker so I absolutely flush my 770's
How drastic of a difference did you feel thete was between hitting the mc and mb
The MB’s slightly softer off the face. But both looked almost identical at address which I thought was brilliant

I've been playing Nike VR 2 blades for 10+ years. Time to upgrade even tho i love the new MBs and my ego wants them.. I'm going for the new P-770s.
what is your personal reasoning?
@@DustinSince91 I just feel I would benefit from having more of a forgiving set of irons. Will be hitting a few sets from different ranges before buying. I do like the look of the new Taylor made irons for 2023.
I just bought blades (the new Callaway Apex MB) for the first time ever and wow! Same feeling you were having in this vid. Shot +2 first round with them and I normally shoot low 80's. So soft, and best I've ever hit an iron. I don't buy into the 'hard to hit' tbh. Very accurate and able to shape.
The MBs are great. Just swapped my pros for them. I play it down to the 4i. Didn’t loose much yardage. And saved my self some hot 6 irons going 220 out the first cut 😂
I grew up hitting blades but now I use taylormade stealth hd irons im 50 years old now and nice as they are I don't think I could hit em now 😊🏌👍
