Hello, I am fairly new (since August 2024) to the crypto world and have learned quite a bit and enjoy your content on your TH-cam channel. In any case, although I have not sold any of my crypto (I have swapped), I have been researching if I have to pay taxes from my gains. I store 99% of my crypto on the Tangem 2.0 cold wallet. I was wondering if you plan on doing a video on how to safely do taxes from the Tangem wallet? Seeing how it is tax season very soon. What is the safest way to do taxes from this wallet? Thank you.
Could you also do a OneKey (classic ?) restore tutorial ? Saw you did one for tangem, trezor, ledger, not yet for OneKey though. Would be very much appreciated. Or did I overlook ? Thanks,
I have doubt sir if i forgot the access code can i reset it? If this option available what will be the security because if my card got anyone they can easily reset the access code and take my crypto
It is my understanding that you can reset the access code if you possess two of the cards. So in order to prevent anyone else from resetting the cards and gaining access, you must practice good, physical security. Keep your cards separated and hidden well. They are not able to reset the access code if they find one card. But if someone manages to find two cards in your card set, then it is possible. I have never confirmed this feature, but other people have told me that it’s in their support documentation. I’m not a big fan of this. I think it should be impossible to reset the access code. But too many people would lose access to their crypto, because most people are pretty careless and forget their codes. So they have included this feature.
@@CryptoDadThey also included an option in the app to disable the feature that allows two card possession to change the access code. This option is on a per card basis if I recall correctly. Also, I think around the 2:19 mark in the video you misspoke by saying that changing the access code would reset the card. The card is not reset when changing the access code.

Hello, good time, I have some Ethereum-based rendering currency in the Ledger Nano X wallet, according to the rendering team's announcement, this currency migrates to the Solana platform, how can I transfer this currency to the Solana platform?? Or will it be transferred automatically? Thank you for your advice
The biggest difference between version 1 and version 2 is that version 2 has an optional seed phrase. This means that you can back up the wallet with a seed phrase in case something happens to your entire card set. Version one relies solely on the cards for backup. If you lose all three cards, then you lose any crypto that you have stored in the wallet.
The real question is what if you need to migrate to another wallet if tangem goes bankrupt or stops supporting the app or if nfc technology dissapears in the future. Not your keys not your money. And in this case you don't know what the keys are!
All of those questions have been addressed with the new Tangem card, which allows you to create a 12 word backup. There is also this from the Tangem Support page: Will the card work if Tangem doesn’t exist as a company? Does Tangem use its own servers? Even though we have no intention of going out of business any time soon (we’ve been running smoothly since 2017), in case something terrible happens, Tangem cards and the app will continue to function. The Tangem app uses the company's servers to verify the card's authenticity, synchronize the list of tokens added between backup cards, and calculate the value of the cryptocurrency in your wallet. Without these services, you will still be able to use your Tangem cards, though it will be a little less convenient. You can read more on our blog via the link: tangem.com/en/blog/post/after-the-apocalypse-how-tangem-wallet-will-function-without-tangem/
In addition to the response from CryptoDad, I would add that you can create a wallet by importing a seedphrase. You can use something like Ian Coleman’s BIP39 utility to create a 12 or 24 word seedphrase from random entropy such as die rolls or coin tosses. If you do that, be sure to run the tool offline and do not save the seedphrase on the computer. I use a usb live distribution of a minimal Linux OS to do such things with the internet access turned off.

Yes, if you forget your access code the recovery process asks for a seconds card from your backup set and lets you input a new access code. That's why you should never store 2 (or 3) cards together. Please note that iPhone 7/7 Plus and some Android models do not have full NFC support, which means you cannot transfer the required amount of information during activation. In this case, making a backup of a private key on your phone is not available. You can, however, use any other phone (iPhone 8 and up or Android 6.0+ with full NFC support) to create a backup and then continue using your device.
On devices with custom firmware installed (not modified by the manufacturer), the correct operation of the app is not guaranteed.

I refuse to do business with a crypto company that doesn't accept crypto payments for their product.

You can talk to Robos all day long if you want to. Just don't give them your 12 word recovery phrase, and you'll be fine. 😉
Congrats, you brought literally NO clarity. Lots of assumptions and a vocabulary of those in-the-know.
Yes, this was a bit of a specialized video for people who already own Tangem cards. Although in the description I have links to both the full setup video and a video on doing a restore, if you're interested.
Their apps lacks alot of futures. Trezor /Ledger still solid 👌. Tangem on the go for petit cash 💸.
