I’ve made this bread twice. It turned out really good. I added chopped walnuts, used white sesame seeds coz that’s what I have available. Also substituted flaxseed with chia seeds. My son is allergic to flaxseed. So we stopped having them at home. I also added extra milk around 2-3 tablespoons and added 1 more tablespoon of butter. The first time that I have made the bread was a bit dry. I figured out that chia seeds absorb more liquid. So this time it turned out really good. We really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing this recipe with us. God Bless.

PLEASE NOTE!!!! 200 Degree temperature is in Celcius (392 Degrees in Fahrenheit). I followed this recipe to the letter (baked it at 200 Degrees (F) for 35 minutes. Ummm yeah, can you say STICKY BRICK? Needs to be 400 degrees (F) for about 35 minutes. I Put it back in the oven at 400 Degrees F for about 25 minutes, and while it baked fine, it turned out REALLY dense! The next time I try this recipe, I will most likely proof the dough first. The bread tasted delicious with copious amounts of butter and jam.
So sorry for late reply first and sorry it turned out a bit unraised at the end... I have mentioned in the description that, its 200 degree celcius, which is 392 degree Fahrenheit. Upto 400 degree Fahrenheit will also be fine provided the bake time is reduced by quarter
Yes, its possible ... and you could add any other grain of your choice except to remember that the moisture absortion of the grain has to be taken in to consideration, so that the bread is soft at the end.
Is the baking at 200 degrees Celsius? I think that converts to 392 degrees Fahrenheit. That is a hot oven for 35 minutes with a small loaf. I will still try it but leave off the seeds on top. Adding brown sugar should be very tasty.
I used instant yeast..ensure room temperature of water before using active yeast. And if you have a colder climate, ensure the water is luke warm for good results....
I think 200 Celsius is 392 Fahrenheit which makes more sense. I’ve had my loaf in for 35 minutes and it’s definitely not baked. Will see if I can save it by raising the temperature
Hi MOM, I have a question... Where can I buy that loaf cast? And another thing is...I want to know what makes the dough rise and fluffy and to what extent can it rise and be more fluffy? Can we use jaggery powder instead of brown sugar? And that plastic sheet you used to cover the dough while letting it rest, I don't have it... What is it and where can I buy....I just have a microwave oven🤭
Of course u can do it even without brown sugar. Brown sugar provides extra flavor, tenderizes the crumb, increases browning, and holds onto moisture, which keeps the bread fresh for longer.
What kind of wheat flour do you use, is it white wheat flour or all purpose wheat flour? I tried the recepi, whenever I proof it it proofs well, but when I bake it always starts to fail and the bread ends up dry and hard.
Sorry for late reply dear. You can use either whole wheat flour(healthier option) or all purpose flour. I have used whole wheat flour in a this recipe. Temperature of cooking is very important here and the time it takes to cook. Preheat oven and bake it to get best results. Check Proofing time of dough for the soft texture
I have used instant yeast... active yeast will require different fermenting and raising times.... And in addition the colder your area, the difference it makes in raising.. ensure you use luke warm water for your yeast... Happy baking..
