At some point this happens on every single Ford vehicle of this era that uses this design whether it’s from a Super Duty to even Windstar & Taurus. I had the same issue on my Ranger, but thankfully this is a very easy fix.

This happened to me some years ago!! Can’t remember the video I found, to point me in right direction!!
Mine shifts fine, but I will probably do this anyway a preventative maintenance.
Just fixed that 3 weeks ago.
My cable loop is broken how can I bypass just for trouble shooting because I have more than one problem
