A guy has a dishonourable discharge, a fucked up view of women, an attempted SA on the missing woman AND a previous murder - and kills himself before he can be brought to justice. He's responsible for the disappearance, no doubt.
I knew Bobbie. Unfortunately he has passed. He was trying to get the money to try and help find her. This absolutely destroyed him. He loved her so much. The police definitely focused only on him.
I’ve revisited this case from time to time since I first heard about it several years ago. I was not aware that Bobby passed! So sorry to learn of his passing.
He wanted money to try what? You didn't finish your thought. You wrote that Bobby had a desire to help find her, but you didn't write what he was trying to do.
Please never brush it off when someone tells you they feel/felt h*rassed by someone. It might happen again, but they might not tell you about it this time oder downplay it as well, because of your reaction. You might not feel the same way, but as soon as someone feels uncomfortable in a situation take it seriously. A professor at my university was kind of fixated on me. I always dreaded his courses, because I felt so uncomfortable around him. He would turn around on stairs when I passed him and so on. I told my family about him...well, they reacted like as if I should feel flattered and asked me, if he's at least good looking. He once became angry and threw his stuff on the table like a child having a tantrum when I decided to not sit next to him. At that time I struggled with dissociation and as soon, as the lesson was over, my mind started to shut down. At home I finally broke down. I was left alone with it, because my family wasn't there for me and my friends didn't know how to help me. So yeah, never brush it off.
@@YongamaLove Who said he was old? People don’t suddenly turn into “creeps” when they get old-all of them were once young… Don’t let appearance fool you!
This happened to me, except the professor grabbed me, held me and kissed me. I never went back to his class, magically got an A after missing the majority of his classes. This was the proof I needed to go to the college and report him. Found out he was also being looked into by another student from my class regarding some racially inappropriate comments. Come to find out he had been at a LOT of colleges and never stuck around for long, he was immediately fired.

I don't understand how being vain is a 'sign' of her fiancée being guilty of murder. Like, if he was vain before, he's not going to stop being vain now. If I wasn't guilty of murder, I would definitely be worried about how I look, since the public is always judging.
Not only that, people have different ways of coping. When I m extremely sad/stressed I start cleaning the house as a distraction. Probably he was just trying to cope
yes, exactly! plus him being a Black man, just Black people in general .. we have to dress and look "proper" to be taken seriously and seem "more trustworthy". at least that was my first thought lol since he mentioned the cops wouldn't help bc he's Black. he knows what he's talking about and what he's doing.
Ngl , I fistly thought it was going to be the fiance...but nothing can top Tommy's disgusting actions before and after Niqui's disappearance . I'm 99% sure that not only he's a serial killer , but him "unaliving" himself was the coward way to escape accountabilities of Tina's murder as well as being his confession of Niqui's alleged murder. Call me naïve , but I now think the fiance "suspicious " actions after her death were only circumstantial . The reasons he gave for those pretty much make sense and didn't sound made up imo. Everybody is different, everybody deal with grief differently. I hope one day Niqui’s family will have a sense of closure by finding her whereabouts or something .
Another reason Bobby might not have wanted to file a missing person’s report as he would have been a prime suspect and perhaps not treated well by the police as they investigated/interviewed him.
Right that was my thought , he is the bf and he’s black . I wouldn’t be the first to call the police either but him telling her family was his way of trying to be caring

Kendall, thank you so much for covering Niqui’s case. I am from Richmond and knew both Niqui and Bobby. She always loved him. When I was dating his best friend she’d always ask me about Bobby and he would ask me about her. I was so happy when they got back together. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She loved Payton so much. I hope her family gets closure one day. Again, thank you so much for doing this. You have a huge following and I’m hopeful this could help the family get those answers they so deserve.
I hate listening to cases that end like this and I used to avoid listening to them entirely. But while the despair of not having answers or justice is heavy, it's important to tell their stories. The world needs to know what we lost. Thank you for telling her story, even if we may never get a resolution.
Kendall, I just want to thank you. I've been going through a lot of depression and was suicidal for a while but your podcasts have helped me realize there's a lot to live for. Thank you so much. ❤

Exactly. I would've never let my baby go alone. If any other friends or relatives weren't available, I would've asked for a police escort, too. It's too bad she didn't call Bobby.
It’s easy to pass judgment and say what you would and wouldn’t do. Richmond is a small a very small town and the laundromat was literally right down the street from my aunts house like you could step in the middle of the street and see the laundromat, my grandmother offered to go help and my mother declined. My grandmother also died with regret knowing that she couldn’t have went with my mother. It’s okay to have opinions but please be kind and mindful that this is actually someone’s life and not just your entertainment for the week. God bless you all!
That suicide is so unfair, what a coward and the worst scum. He definitely killed her, not wanting to get he’s day in court for that other murder is heartbreaking, for all the family who’s missing loved ones are unaccounted for and those who’s murders are not solved, it is such harrowing and never ending pain. I hate that man, I’m sorry to Niqui and her family 😔, it’s over 20 years since her disappearance, I’m sorry to say it but it’s probably a lifeless body that her family might find, but I believe even that can give them closure. Thank you for making a donation to PIs for the missing. The week between when my cousin went missing, and when her body was found, was unbearable. We felt like the police weren't working with us, but against us. And being on the phone with my Mom, while she walked thru wooded areas with volunteers, looking for her body, was something I can't even explain. The family of those who are missing need this help.

Yes if she was so distraught that she left why encourage her to go back makes no sense for me but who knows details get lost, maybe she initiated this action of going back her mom just agreed...
Her Mom told her to get her laundry and bring it to her house to finish. She must have thought, when she returned, that it was okay to finish up there. It was all folded and in her laundry basket.

Niqui and Brianna Maitland’s disappearances have been widely underreported and it’s so sad. The part with Brianna’s dad genuinely made me tear up. No one person deserves less coverage than another. I’ve only ever seen videos on either of them from one other TH-camr which is disappointing. I hope both families find the answers they deserve
Please cover the story of 22 year old Bianca Haas, she was found DECOMPOSING in the apartment on July of 2022 that she shared with her boyfriend… the tenants complained about a rotting scent for months and the landlord did not bother to check at all. He would have people over while he put her in a different room. Her body was found because one of the tenants went to find out where the smell was coming from. This happened in Waukegan, Illinois. Nothing has been updated.. he hasn’t been charged 😕 what makes this more suspicious is that the landlord and Biancas boyfriend knew each other..
Words cannot describe the hatred I feel for Tommy. I really wasn't expecting that turn. He was a coward. Rest in peace Tina, you deserved better❤️. So much better. She didn't deserve to be found naked in a pile of trash.
This case always made me so mad, the original investigation was so slow to start and then once they did they got tunnel vision on her fiancé. They wasted so much time 😪

How unbelievably arrogant of Tommy to have murdered someone and still had the audacity to join the police force!! Unreal. But I'm also damn glad that he did as that move seemed to be his undoing. I’m not done with the video yet & I know it’s a small detail, but I could totally see myself being hesitant to file a police report just in case they weren’t actually missing. I know that seems dumb, but I could see where his mind might go to “I don’t wanna cause any trouble in case she’s actually fine & walks in the door 5 minutes after I file this report”….idk
In that instance even if they’re not missing better safe than sorry. Better to sound the alarm and have them not be missing than have them to missing and never sound the alarm.
@@kiikachuWhile I absolutely agree with you, as a person of colour sometimes approaching higher authority can seem kinda pointless (for lack of a better word) , you never know when you’ll be taken seriously or even be assisted. So if someone thought another person went missing but they weren’t it can add to the long list of why the police seem to not care about poc or just use that as an example to justify waiting 72 hrs to report a missing person
@@ambershoba that’s assuming that an entire group won’t take a POC seriously. I can see what you’re saying but at the end of the day at least I know I tried reporting someone as a missing person. I realize there is a stigma with both parties but a few bad seeds don’t account for an entire group. It’s unfortunate that people let stigmas get in the way.
When my daughter was missing ( found safe…thank God), the only thing I could do was keep busy with mindless tasks. Your mind is racing and you’re scared but trying to rationalize the absence. Even with investigators in my house, I was cleaning and doing laundry. The public expects you to sit and cry 24/7 but that’s not how it goes.
I love your new back ground and especially your darling little kitty in his bed. I also love you and love the way you tell your stories, even though so many times they are sad. Thank you so much for bringing these stories to light most of them I’ve never heard of. You’re a good storyteller keep up the good work OK
They are really not trying to find people these days. I remember when it was 24 hours, then 48 hours and now it’s 72 hours to report someone missing? Jeez!
It seems like the guys at the laundromat were absolutely the source of whatever happened. She came home upset about these guys, went back to where they were and then never came home. Just because they allowed her take her basket outside doesn't mean they didn't follow her. Footage in the 90's and cops caring about a poc being missing are both shotty at best.
I get the car wash thing… When my dad died, I sent a text message that I never sent to him the night before… So I can see why he wanted to keep that promise to her… it’s still suspicious, but there’s two sides I could see
I do too, I know it's not exactly the same, but if I feel like I've not been the best mother that day I often will try to make it up to my daughter by doing things she's asked me to do or things I think she'd like while she's at school or asleep in bed. It helps me forgive myself a little bit. Also, I can relate to Bobby being concerned about his appearance when it seemed like a complete trivial and unimportant thing to most people. I swear that when I look amazing and at my best, that's usually when I'm at my worst. I have endometriosis and I'm in constant pain. I have PTSD and anxiety too. Whenever I'm Really anxious or my pain is flaring up I feel completely out of control of everything. Over the years I've found that I soothe myself by caring for my skin, applying my makeup very carefully, doing my nails, hair etc. I believe it's because I feel like I'm in complete control over these things so it helps me stay calm. It's awful because I can't count how many times people (ironically Dr's and nurses are the worst for it) have told me if I was as ill as I say I wouldn't look so good. That I wouldn't care about my hair or makeup. It's so upsetting because it's a coping mechanism but our society is so ableist that the average person can't compute that you can be struggling but look great. All of my closest family and friends know this because they've seen it so many times but it traumatises me all over again when I'm called out for it. I'm not saying this applies to Bobby at all; this just my experience. But I like to play Devil's Advocate because I wish people could try to see why I do what I do without being suspicious.
Kendall you are an angel I love hearing about all the donations you make to these organizations. It moves me, and I am going to donate what I can to PI for the missing. ❤️

I'm so sorry you went through that. No matter the reaction, it's brave that you shared that experience with others.
I'm SORRY for that....that old professor was sick
@@YongamaLove Who said he was old? People don’t suddenly turn into “creeps” when they get old-all of them were once young…
Don’t let appearance fool you!
I am glad to hear that Bobby stayed close with Payton..🥹

I don't understand how being vain is a 'sign' of her fiancée being guilty of murder. Like, if he was vain before, he's not going to stop being vain now. If I wasn't guilty of murder, I would definitely be worried about how I look, since the public is always judging.
Not only that, people have different ways of coping. When I m extremely sad/stressed I start cleaning the house as a distraction. Probably he was just trying to cope
Virgo, right?
yes, exactly! plus him being a Black man, just Black people in general .. we have to dress and look "proper" to be taken seriously and seem "more trustworthy". at least that was my first thought lol since he mentioned the cops wouldn't help bc he's Black. he knows what he's talking about and what he's doing.

It was probably him.
What does SA mean?
Another reason Bobby might not have wanted to file a missing person’s report as he would have been a prime suspect and perhaps not treated well by the police as they investigated/interviewed him.
Right that was my thought , he is the bf and he’s black . I wouldn’t be the first to call the police either but him telling her family was his way of trying to be caring

@@ambershoba that’s assuming that an entire group won’t take a POC seriously. I can see what you’re saying but at the end of the day at least I know I tried reporting someone as a missing person.
