But when I watch Sirish sir talk about cars, and the automotive industry, We can honestly feel in our hearts how emotional he is for cars, and how he's devoted his life to them. This is exactly why I've looked up to him, more than anyone else. EVO India is probably one of the best things that has happened to us. The same emotions were felt by me too Sirish Sir! I literally got goosebumps. Every point you mentioned made perfect sense and I don't know if it was a ploy or corporate politics to bring Ford down in India, but they had all the ingredients in a car but couldn't sell them well. The Mod Potential of Fords also were on par with VAG as tools like Forscan,UCDS and F-mods can help in modding a Ford without breaking the bank. Coming to Ford India's hastiness, they could have retained all the features of the 2017 Facelift EcoSport, but they went on a spree of deleting features every month. Even the sales guys would get confused and the customer stands confused if they're getting what they booked. I was affected by the lack of available stock scene. My Blue EcoSport with Sync 3 in Bangalore and I had to go to Hosur to bring my First EcoSport home and was one of the last batches with Sync 3 in Titanium variant. Plus the BS6 diesel engines were a jugaad itself. If Ford would have brought the 1.5 EcoBlue Diesel AT, they would be the segment leaders in the market today. Even after Ford left India, I had no other choice but to buy another EcoSport only(used one though). I own both the EcoSports and I don't think I'll sell either till its end of service life. I know it's a bit of an exaggeration but The EcoSport and Endevaour are like the car versions of the Yamaha RX100 and RD350. These are the Fords owned and the last 3 are still with us in our family circles( Escort 1.8, Ikon 1.3, Figo 1.5 TDCi and 2x EcoSport 1.5 TDCi) I wish one day, If I or anyone can convince Jim Farley and the board directors of Ford USA to realize the potential of the Indian market and come back stronger. I hope the top echelons at Ford USA watch this series once and make a decision!
An absolute delight to watch this video. My eyes had been on the Eco Sport for almost an year but by the time we made a decision to lock a deal for a new car, Ford had left. As you rightly said, Eco Sport handled like nothing else, in fact outperformed a lot of higher segment cars in terms of drive dynamics and handling. Anyway, ended up buying the Nexon because of the unavailability of Ford in market. Hoping to see the upcoming Endeavour in my garrage next!
Would definitely look around for the 3.2 if the upcoming Endy doesn't satisfy my engine needs. Also I've owned an Escort back in 2000 when I used to live in England ☺️ It was lovely to see it on your channel after nearly 2 decades.
Wow EvoIndia and Sirish, you guys killed it. I feel happy I was able to buy a 2021 Diesel EcoSport, much before(March21) Ford announced their exit. I still remember the way the Fiesta and iKon felt to drive. Such brilliant vehicles. Hope Ford doesn't ditch the plan of selling their premium offerings in the future. Would definitely upgrade to an Endeavour in a heartbeat. Clocked 18k kms in my EcoSport and it's handling is definitely worth turning into a keyboard warrior on social media.😂
Buddy I too am fom a Ford family and I kind f disagree with Ecosports handling. I owned 2 Fords and now I own a Brezza. The Ecosport had better steering than Brezza but had more under steer and bigger weight means it felt more strained at the limits as opposed to Brezza. I do agree Ford handles better than Nexon and Venue.. But Brezza surprised me with its light yet capable chassis. True on safety front Ford is far superior.. But I do ve to admit that Brezza can be called a great handling Suzuki even while Ecosport is in equation.. Is it better handling than Ecosport maybe not but definititely a close 2nd n my opinion. The Nissan Kicks s also under rated. I ve been 2 UK too and there 2 I ve been n Ecosport and frankly Ecosport s 1 of worst handling Fords outside India
Always admired the cars from Ford as a kid, my love started with the Ford Ikon - the josh machine. Never got a chance to own one though. My first car which I still have and is still very close to my heart the Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi. Loved each and every moment I spent in that car. Clocked approx 150,000 kms and is still going strong. My second Ford car was Aspire which was a big let down frankly. Ford started manufacturing maruti cars with Ford badge. It just was not a Ford to drive with that EPS steering. I still have the Aspire as well. Waited for the launch of Ford Kuga for over 2 years. The plan was to part ways from Aspire and buy either a SUV or full size segment sedan from Ford but then came a shock of my life when I got to know that ford is closing its operations in India. Dreams were shattered as I one day wanted to buy an Endeavour. Ford should have never compared itself with maruti or hyundai. Ford fans like me wanted their original cars which they have in international markets. I totally blame Ford India leadership and lack of vision for the mess they created. Also the jobs people lost. I just hope Ford returns back and launches their international lineup in India. We want cars with Ford DNA.
Having bought 3 Fords (Fiesta 1.6 sxi in 2007, Figo 1.4 tdci in 2012 and an Ecosport Sports tdci in 2021), I feel the same adrenalin rush as you when you talk about Ford India, and the same pangs of pain when they announced their departure. Come what may, I'll hold on to my Figo and EcoSport for as long as I can (sadly I lost the Fiesta in Oct 2020 Hyderabad floods). Thank you very much for the 2 episodes, Sirish.
I'm having Figo Diesel 2010. 90k runned still running buttery smooth. Only one time I face EGR problem nothing else. Ford vehicles are really gem.but we don't have value for such a great products.
Got a chance to drive my friend's endeavour 2.2 in May 2020 during the lockdown. Though it was a short spin in my society but boy oh boy the juggernaut had me impressed 😍. Literally felt like a king when on the driver seat 🤟. We will miss you Ford💔.
Owned a Figo Petrol and drove it for 75,000 km. Not a single hiccup for 5 years. Today, I am driving an Ecosport Diesel which I bought in 2020 and completed 12,000 km. Amazing and reliable vehicles, both of them.

Earlier Ford cars failed not just for their price tag but mainly bcos of their high maintenance cost... It's only after launch of figo people started trusting ford on maintainence cost as well. But no one can question Ford's build quality and handling, it's really good. Love Ford for that

Had two Ford's in the family in the 2000s and it was an amazing car to have. We never owned a Maruti ever, and don't miss Maruti too..my daughter's first car ride from hospital to home was in the Endeavour. She is a blessed person to have been there on that day.

We have 2011 figo TDCI diesel and done around 1.10 lakh and still runs like new one ,I have drove other brands also but nobody can match Ford. We were about to take Ecosport 2021 and sad news arrived that Ford has stopped manufacturing ,I am still searching for Ecosport in used market. Thank you evo for ford series.
As a 2008 Endeavour owner who's just applied for renewal of the Registration i can tell you that there's miles to go on this baby before I give her up and will try to hold out as long as I can - Also as I was watching the video I couldnt help but notice how ecstatic and vivid you were when talking about Ford Endeavour haha loved it

Would like to share one ford memory,....couple of yrs back my friend was looking for second hand car and we found one fiesta 1.6s 2008. Immediately after buying we thought we wasted our 90 odd grands but after using for 2odd yrs and comparing it with modern cars it feels way lot superior may it be built, packaging, ride, handling, engine etc. And absolute 💎.
I have Aspire diesel titanium+ bs-iv, purchased in March 20. Just yesterday I returned from Mumbai-Pune trip travelling 241 kms. Got a mileage of 29.3😊

The moment ford closed sedans, that very moment i was turned off... whatever sedan i drive in current market... cant find ford like feel at all. A question you asked many times in this video.... why ford, why ford left us.... you said there are thousands and thousands theories.... but my theory is "FORD INDIA MANAGEMENT HAS KILLED FORD, SYSTEMATICALLY, THEY PLANNED FOR FORD'S FAILURE, THEY EXECUTED FORD WELL. THEY WORKED FOR FORD BUT EARNED FROM OTHER MANUFACTURERS. THE SIGNS WERE EVIDENT SINCE 2017 BUT AS A BUYER WE WERE HELPLESS AND FORD HAD ALREADY LOST ITS HOPE TO SURVIVE, I WAS ALREADY ON A DEATH BED AND "THE DAY" WAS ALREADY DECIDED". Now what we are left with is .... memories. i still have a 10 year old GEM fiesta with me and i will retain it.... many others will come and go but my black beauty diesel titanium plus black panther will shine all the time with me.
Owned two generations of Figo and recent endeavour with 2.2 titanium Fords are great for driving dynamic. And the best thing it’s affordable to maintain.
Please make a separate videos on Mondeo and Fusion , not much is known on these 2 cars as they were huge flops in Indian Market 🙌. Other than that this gone but not forgotten video was awesome 🔥❤.
we went from purchasing ford ikon to ford fiesta classic to ford ecosport and were keen on buying our 4th ford car but till that time ford had already left India. and I can guarantee that ford cars were the best handler in the segment or even segment above, they also nailed the ride quality, had the best interior quality and amazing build quality with brilliant service things like this made ford cars an all rounder in the segment although spare parts and maintenance were a bit on higher side but the point is ford cars had a soul with such amazing diesel engines and driving dynamics, such a shame ford had to leave India but then they didnt update their line up so yeah they did that to themselves

Owned a 2003 ikon flair sold it after 10 years, bought the figo TDCI in 2013 sold in 2021 was planning on buying another ford before they finally exited. Ford= punchy engine and great handlers.. hoping for ford to return with a bang
Had a figo diesel for almost 9 years, drove around 2 lacs kms in it.. Long drives, short drives but that machine was impeccable in the way it drives at 150-160 kmph and just grips the road like a 🐆… Low maintenance but yes true noisy engine roars👍🏼
My 1st experience with Ford was with the Ford Escort in the year 1998.. After which Ikon and Figo happened...Looks like there is no Escorts around now 😢
Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi that's done about 3.5 lakh loaded with memories. Infact, I asked my PR friend to check with Sirish if I should get its engine redone when it eventually died. As a replacement, I was all set for a Ford Ecosport and a month later, they shut their sales shop in India.
now we need brands like dodge and chevy to come around so that we can get new cars,am a fan of the challenger,the camaro zl1 is a great track car,ig it's even faster on the track than the shelby gt500(am not sure tho)
I am not happy as I heard the news That Ford is leaving Indian market . It was one of the best car India has get . The fun enthusiastic cars of Ford had potential but they never realised it

We had a fusion 1.4TDCi and was first diesel fusion in Goa clocked 180K in less than 3 years and sold....such a great car it was
We had a Fusion 1.6 Duratec. It was the best car at the time. I loved it. The engine was extremely smooth and peppy.

Absolute amazing effort .... thanks for putting so mush of effort towards the ultimate driving pleasure called ford. Being a owner of 2 diesel fiestas since 2006... i am orphan of choice now. The moment ford closed sedans, that very moment i was turned off... whatever sedan i drive in current market... cant find ford like feel at all.
A question you asked many times in this video.... why ford, why ford left us.... you said there are thousands and thousands theories.... but my theory is "FORD INDIA MANAGEMENT HAS KILLED FORD, SYSTEMATICALLY, THEY PLANNED FOR FORD'S FAILURE, THEY EXECUTED FORD WELL. THEY WORKED FOR FORD BUT EARNED FROM OTHER MANUFACTURERS. THE SIGNS WERE EVIDENT SINCE 2017 BUT AS A BUYER WE WERE HELPLESS AND FORD HAD ALREADY LOST ITS HOPE TO SURVIVE, I WAS ALREADY ON A DEATH BED AND "THE DAY" WAS ALREADY DECIDED".
Now what we are left with is .... memories. i still have a 10 year old GEM fiesta with me and i will retain it.... many others will come and go but my black beauty diesel titanium plus black panther will shine all the time with me.
We still have our 2002 Mondeo petrol. Still revs like crazy

we went from purchasing ford ikon to ford fiesta classic to ford ecosport and were keen on buying our 4th ford car but till that time ford had already left India. and I can guarantee that ford cars were the best handler in the segment or even segment above, they also nailed the ride quality, had the best interior quality and amazing build quality with brilliant service things like this made ford cars an all rounder in the segment although spare parts and maintenance were a bit on higher side but the point is ford cars had a soul with such amazing diesel engines and driving dynamics, such a shame ford had to leave India but then they didnt update their line up so yeah they did that to themselves

Owned a 2003 ikon flair sold it after 10 years, bought the figo TDCI in 2013 sold in 2021 was planning on buying another ford before they finally exited. Ford= punchy engine and great handlers.. hoping for ford to return with a bang

Had a figo diesel for almost 9 years, drove around 2 lacs kms in it.. Long drives, short drives but that machine was impeccable in the way it drives at 150-160 kmph and just grips the road like a 🐆… Low maintenance but yes true noisy engine roars👍🏼

Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi that's done about 3.5 lakh loaded with memories. Infact, I asked my PR friend to check with Sirish if I should get its engine redone when it eventually died. As a replacement, I was all set for a Ford Ecosport and a month later, they shut their sales shop in India.
You could still find one in the used market!
