Never attack the fortress worlds like Foerost first, they have stationairy fleets for the most part which means they arent a treat. U can't really take big worlds until u get Venators and ur special bigger ships

Please do, and check out every mod you can. It’s hundreds of hours of fun. The games kinda janky because it’s old af, but it somehow still holds up today (even without mods)
Like, the dev team who made the game will update the game like once a year. It’s mostly so the game runs better with mods or makes the game more mod-able.
