Everybody know's that those aren't the real belgian divisions. As commonly known, the actual belgium army only failed because they were humble and let the allies act all big. But the truth? Dunkirk? Rescued by BELGIANS. Stalingrad? Us petty germans were beaten by BELGIANS. D-Day? Would've been sunk without the holy belgian spirit declaring the D-Day as necessary for the eventual greater belgian reich.
Paradox genuinely needs to give everyone bicycle infantry instead of making it exclusive because almost every army except the USA used bicycle infantry either as garrisons or on the frontline. They add motorcycles but not bicycles?
1:43 I also think the reason as to why the T13's gun is backwards is because it was envisioned as a purely defensive tank destroyer. The idea was for it to wait in ambush, fire at the enemy, and leave. This doctrine changed with the updated version of the T13 B3, produced in greater numbers, which had a front facing turret
I think they genuinely mixed some numbers around to the point that Germany might be too strong, I mean I can't blame them for accidentally overtuning a brand new focus tree especially for a major but it feels like they just do so well most of the time despite the MEFO bills being intended to be their death spiral.
Nowadays Germany always stomps everyone . I caused 11 mil casualties as historical Poland, then capped. Germany went to kill the allies and dec on soviets and won in 3 months(they still had 13 mil manpower and full strength divs).
British (and Japanese) AI has never been good, but after gotterdamerung it seems really bad. It feels like they tweeked their desire to protect their home cores and as a result put very little into any aggression. I played a France game the other day and despite holding until 1943 the UK never sent any troops to France.
I'm not certain this is a fact, but I remember hearing that the UK's AI is hard coded to not send troops to France until after they capitulate. IIRC it's to help the German AI not get curb stomped just when WW2 kicks off.
I think you should've left the ardennes divisions split in two to keep the mobile regiment mobile and as reserve which is what I imagine they were there for Then micro would've been hell trying to keep pairs of divisions close to each other, but I think it would've been worth it
It's tricky trying to create "reserve" units because active and reserve fought together in the same division, and HOI necessarily already abstracts that idea with divisions and hourly regain. Something to think about though!
They have really failed the allies with the new update. For whatever reason the Allies never commit more than like 8 divisions to a naval invasion and the defensive AI puts like 30 on port garrison, so they just get annihilated. It really throws the game for me.
Ok, now I'm curious, now I want a Historical Naval Build Playthrough You've done the airforce and army, what about doing the navy? Completing Plan Z (the focus too) as Germany and defeating the Royal Navy and American navy, and invading both Rebuilding the pre collapse navy and building the planned ships of the French Navy, as Free France, and in another Playthrough, Vichy France (as well as doing the planned ships for the French navy as normal France, resisting the Germans and destroying the Italian Navy, or something, I know three French playthroughs is a bit much, but blame France for capitulating) Destroying British presence in the Mediterranean and building the planned ships of the Italian Navy as Italy Building the planned British ships, as well as stuff like Habakkuk, and challenging the entire Axis and Japanese Navy Destroying the US navy and achieving complete naval dominance in the Pacific and landing on the US mainland as Japan Destroying the Axis and Japanese Navy as the US with Special Project Ships only Building a navy as China and challenging and destroying the Japanese navy Building a Navy as the Soviet Union in all three seas, and taking on the Axis and Japanese Navy, and maybe in the future, the Allied one
You should try Germany again in black ice to see if you can win historically but without really handicapping yourself to lose for the sake of history:)
I've found that the AI for the allies is kinda... stupid this patch. unless you specifically play as them, Germany AI gets so many buffs that they cannot lose
This is the first time I've felt the need to complain about one of your choices about how to represent things in one of these videos: I think if the nation in question used too many kinds of the same division, you should be required to do the same in game. Play with those messy infantry divisions, with different amounts of artillery and strength!
The only issue is that precise info about which divisions had what isn’t clear - lots were moved around ad hoc - the infantry divisions I made is honestly pretty close to the realistic division on average though.
@Aldrahill Preliminary testing reveals AA and tank AA have 0 org, so instantly disband. Quite probable that tank org buffs do not apply, as tank AA are probably classed as "variants", but cannot confirm yet.
I wonder why the AI still hasn't been fixed. Especially the British. They were the ones guaranteeing Belgium independence. They went to war with Germany because they attacked Belgium. The fact that they didn't send anyone at all is dumb.
You're thinking of WW1. The British declared war on Germany for declaring war on Germany in WW1, not WW2. In ww2, the UK declared war on Germany for invading Poland
You have failed me, Aldra. I must avenge my nation
A disaster save once more
Forgive me milord :( the Germans… they’re just too strong!
If you do disaster save don’t change the templates or at least try not to

@@AldrahillI’m bouta nerd face but. Brazil with their dlc gets bicycles as a focus 🤓
The USA did use a few bike troops as basically special forces if I remember correctly.

Yeah, MEFO bills is honestly not nearly disastruous enough for Germany
What are you talking about,Germany gets destroyed nearly every game now
The invasion in 1942 was the historical acurate diepe raid
I was about to comment this until I saw your comment lol
and it also happened in dieppe ingame lmfao

Yes, the focus that builds the Caloi factory. I remember wishing I got a Caloi bicycle every single birthday when I was a child.

I'm not sure I'd call what Belgium did in the Congo an investment
Historical Divisions vs Meta Divisions in a multiplayer game. Basically either allies or axis have to be either.
Germany is totally balanced guys trust

We have seen tank only and artillery only, but what about AA only? Any unit that gives AA can be used, but nothing else. How bad would that be?
